00:00It was a really demanding first stage. I started in third position so I had the guys in front and then I just made some silly mistakes in the navigation. I just got confused on a couple notes. It was pretty much straightforward and I just over complicated it. I lost a lot of time before the refuel. After that I just tried to push and try to make up time. I think I cleaned up a little bit. I felt better in the last half.
00:30I didn't make really many mistakes. It was a big push to the end. It was a really long draining day again. It's not over yet. It's just the fourth day in but the bike's okay. It was a lot of rocks. We got to the refuel and everyone had cuts in their tyres and pretty destroyed wheels. That last half I just tried to manage it. As I can see now a lot of riders have shredded rear tyres.
00:58I tried to protect my tyre as much as possible and not push too much in the rocks. We'll see what happens tomorrow. If it's a full stage it's going to be a lot of drama I think.
