01:46Yeah. In Australia it's more expensive than Southeast Asia. Yeah. Yeah. Sydney is very very expensive.
01:52Gotta do what you gotta do. Especially along here as well. Yeah. Yeah. Especially right along the beach.
01:56We live like a couple of streets back in the apartments. But yeah. Yeah. It's great.
01:59Yeah. Here is more touristic. Yeah. Yeah. A hundred percent. We love all the tourists though.
02:03Like it's good to get new faces around. Yeah. Around the local areas you know. Like we embrace it.

02:23It's very like outdoor living. Yeah. Yeah. Australian living is like the best ever.
02:27Wouldn't change it for the world. Yeah. People are very friendly. Yeah. A hundred percent. Yeah.
02:32Thank you for your time. That's okay. Yeah. No worries. Thank you.
02:35Hi. How are you doing? Good. Hi.
02:37Where are you from? Manchester. In England.
02:41How long is your stay in Australia? In Australia? About three months. Seven weeks. Yeah.
02:47Six, seven weeks. Seven weeks. We're living in a van for seven weeks. And then about two months just in Australia. Yeah.
02:54So you are driving a van? Yeah. How long in Sydney? I think three nights for staying in Sydney. Yeah.
03:01Yeah. Got to keep moving. So you are traveling all over Australia? Yeah.
03:06East Coast. Yeah. We've done Melbourne. Yeah. It's about it. Yeah.
03:10Why did you decide to come to Australia? Our friend, there's two others that are with us. It's not just us two.
03:16And he's been before. So we kind of got a bit jealous. Yeah. How's your impression of Australia so far? Warm. Well.
03:26For the most part. We've had a few dodgy days. But the roads are really, really nice. Yeah.
03:32A lot of country, isn't it? Yeah. Lots of views. Nice people. Yeah. Nice coffee.
03:36Yeah. We did the Great Ocean Road. Yeah. Last week. That was lovely. Yeah. That was nice.
03:42It's warmer than the UK. Yeah. It's so much warmer. It's got minus one. Yeah. At home right now. It is.
03:49Where is your favorite place in Sydney so far? We've only been here. We arrived today. Yeah. We came today. The beach.
03:56We're going to the Opera House and all the tourist areas later. Yeah. But for now we're just here. Yeah.
04:03Yeah. Do you like drinking or party? Yes. We do. We love. Yeah. You are British. Yeah.
04:10Drinking culture. Yeah. What do you like the most about the UK? Sunday dinners. Yeah. Sunday dinners.
04:16I mean, I think the main thing is just that family's over there. Yeah. I think is the main thing why we're just over there.
04:22It's probably why I like it the most. Probably. There's not much. It's very cold. Yeah. Nice in the summer though. Yeah. It's okay.
04:32It's alright. What countries are you visiting? We're doing Indonesia next and then the Philippines and then we're flying to Thailand.
04:41And then I think we want to do like Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and then we'll probably be flying back home after that. Yeah.
04:50See how much money we have at the end. When our money runs out, we'll go home. When our money runs out, we'll go home. And then do it again.
04:57What do you do for a living? I used to be a property manager. So I used to work as a state agent.
05:01But we don't do that anymore. I used to work at a supermarket.
05:05Oh, okay, okay. But you look rich actually. Thank you. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your time. Thank you.
05:12Have a nice trip. Thank you. You too.
05:14Hi, how are you doing? Good, thank you. Where are you from? I'm from like surf coast Victoria, the bottom of Australia.
05:21So you come to Sydney sometimes? Yeah, this is my first time actually in Bondi. But I've been to Sydney in the city a couple times, yeah.
05:28What's your plan in Sydney? I actually bought a wedding dress. Yeah, I travel to Sydney because I wanted to try on a second hand wedding dress. The dress has been discontinued by the designer.
05:40I tried it on actually this afternoon and I bought my wedding dress. Oh, amazing. Congratulations. Thank you.
05:47What do you do for a living? I work in disability. I support people with disabilities in their homes.
05:52Where is your favorite place in Australia? Oh, there's just so many to choose from. I do love home, but also I loved Perth when I went to Perth.
06:02I went to like Exmouth and Red Bluff. I went on a road trip and it was really, really beautiful in Perth. It's a bit far away to get to, kind of hard to get to, but it's really lovely.
06:11West coast. Yeah, Western Australia. Yeah, the beaches are the best part of it.
06:16How did you meet your husband, boyfriend? We actually met at the gym. Oh, like we met through a course we were both doing, but then we kept in contact through going to the same gym.
06:27Actually, you look healthy. Thank you. How often do you work out, exercise? I work out a lot. I'm actually like a, I'm an MMA fighter. I've fought like locally and internationally.
06:39But yeah, like when I'm in a fight camp or training for a fight, it'll be six days a week. But now that I'm outside of that, I just train when I want to, which is most days. Most days I like to move around a lot.
06:51Thank you for your time. No worries. Thank you. Have a nice day. Thank you.
06:54Hi, how are you doing? Good. Thanks. How are you? Good. Thank you. Where are you from?
06:58I'm from Canada, British Columbia. Why did you come to Sydney? To Sydney because of the beaches here and I've heard good things about all the tour spots like the Opera House, the Blue Mountains, all of that good stuff.
07:12How long is your stay in Sydney? I got here on Thursday and then I leave this Thursday. So one week.
07:19Where will you go after that? After I'll be going to Tasmania in Hobart. I've heard they've got nice mountains there. So be good for hiking and stuff.
07:29What do you do for a living? Back home in Canada, I lifeguard, but I can't do that here because it's different standards. So, but that's what I would do in Canada at home.
07:39Where is your favorite place in Sydney? In Sydney, I'd have to say this beach. This is my favorite place. Bondi beach.
07:47Have you faced any culture shock in Sydney, Australia? Honestly, I don't think it was that much of a culture shock coming from Canada to here because things are run very similar.
07:59I'd say the accents are definitely the biggest thing. Lots of funny words. I love the words they use. Not bad, but just different words for what we would say in Canada, but not too much different.
08:13What do you like the most about Canada?
08:15I'd probably have to say the mountains in Canada are very beautiful always with the snow. It's a nice view. And then the skiing is super fun there with that in the winter time.
08:25Do you like skiing or snowboarding?
08:27I like both, but I'm really bad at snowboarding. So I definitely have to say skiing. Fall too much during snowboarding.
08:35Thank you for your time. Yes. Thank you so much. Have a nice trip. Thank you.
08:39Hi, how are you doing? Good. Where are you from? Scotland. Scotland.
08:43How long is your stay in Sydney? I'm six months. Six months? Yeah. So she's six months. I have two more weeks and then I go to the west coast.
08:51Why did you decide to come to Australia? On a gap year. Yeah, so we didn't gap year. So I decided to come here.
08:59I want to move here when I'm older. So I came to like, suss it out. Yeah. It's warmer than Scotland. Yeah, a lot warmer.
09:07How's your impression of Australia? It's good. Yeah. I really like it. I really like it. Yeah. Yeah.
09:13I think it's one of the favorite places I've traveled. Yeah.
09:16Have you faced any culture shock in Australia?
09:19The Bottolos. Bottolos, like they're, you can't buy alcohol in the shops. You've got to go to a special shop to buy your alcohol.
09:27That's probably the biggest one. More like the health as well. Yeah. Health culture in Bondi is insane.
09:32Like everyone's running and getting like matcha and avocado toast. Yeah. Yeah. Walking out. Yeah.
09:38Every morning, sunrise. Yeah. And they play volleyball. Yeah. Yeah. Everyone's very fit. Yeah.
09:46You look healthy actually. Well, we've not like fully adopted the Bondi lifestyle. No. No, yeah.
09:53We're trying to though. We're trying to. How about the language? Like, do you feel any difference?
09:58Not really. No. I feel like because in the UK, there's so many different accents. Yeah.
10:04In Australia, there's like not as many different accents. No.
10:08And you don't see as many different Australian accents. No. So it's easier to adjust than in the UK.
10:13Yeah. Yeah. There's so, so many. Yeah, there's too many. Like every city has its own accent.
10:19Whereas here, they're all kind of the same. What do you like the most about Scotland?
10:22Scotland. I really like Edinburgh. Yeah. And I really like St. Andrews. Yeah. And also the North. Yeah.
10:28Like the Highlands and Islands. Yeah. It's just very like scenic. Yeah. It's very pretty.
10:32Like if you've ever been to New Zealand, it looks a lot like New Zealand. Uh-huh.
10:35You don't really drive through cities. There's like fields and mountains wherever you drive. It's really nice. Yeah.
10:41Yeah. I'd say that's probably my favourite. Yeah. Great nature. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
10:46I think people are nice. Actually. Yeah. It depends. Some are. Most are. But there's a few people that are like, eh.
10:55Oh, yeah. You are nice. Actually. Yeah. Thank you.
11:00Thank you for your time. Thank you. Have a nice day. You too.
11:03Hi. How are you doing? I'm good. Thank you. How are you? Good. Thank you. Where are you from?
11:08I'm from Auckland in New Zealand. How long is your stay in Sydney?
11:13I'm staying in Sydney for a month and a half. Very long. Yeah. Very, very long time. Super excited.
11:19It's lovely weather over here. Auckland gets a lot of rain during the summer months.
11:25So it's good to be here and just work free and get to, I don't know, take it day by day.
11:31What brought you to Sydney? I'm an Irish dancer and I'm over here training for the world championships.
11:37Which I'm going to in Dublin in April. So I'm over here just doing some extra training.
11:44Where is your favourite place in Sydney?
11:46It's either just the beach, full stop. It doesn't matter what beach. All the beaches are so beautiful over here.
11:52Or it's going down to, down by the Sydney Opera House or by the harbour. That's just beautiful to walk around as well.
11:59The whole city is just, it's beautiful. It's so much like Auckland as well. So it feels so much like home, but it's just bigger and better.
12:06What advice would you give to other travellers in Sydney?
12:09Just to explore as much as you can. Jump on and off of the trains. The trains are really fun in Sydney because public transport is so much better.
12:17So yeah, just try and go to as many places as you can. Maybe go up north or down south of Sydney as well. There's also beautiful places down there.
12:27What do you like the most about New Zealand? New Zealand is such a beautiful country. We have so much greenery and just everything about it is so, so clean.
12:38And you don't realise that until you travel to other places around the world and you realise how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful environment within New Zealand.
12:50Thank you for your time. Thank you. Have a nice day. Hi, how are you doing? Good, how are you? Good, thank you. Where are you from? I'm from Canada.
12:58How long is your stay in Australia? One year so far. One year, oh. So you're working here? Yeah. Why did you decide to move here?
13:07Outgrew my environment back home. I needed a change. Yeah. What did you do in Canada? I work, I do social media. Social media? Yeah.
13:17So I worked for a tech startup for a little bit. I was doing all of their social media. But I've been doing my own social media since I was like 10.
13:28I've always liked making videos, so I started to make more travel videos and share my journey of moving to Australia.
13:34Amazing. And yeah, I'm still getting started with it, but it's pretty fun. I'm so impressed. I'm so surprised. Amazing.
13:41Amazing. Where is your favorite place in Sydney? In Sydney? I do like Bondi. Yeah, Bondi is pretty, probably my favorite.
13:49I also really like Potts Point. It's a really cute spot. What do you like the most about Canada?
13:54I like my family. My family is there. What else do I like? Nature. Yeah, the nature is really good.
14:00I'm like trying to think. Australia is honestly so good. But yeah, Canada's nature is pretty good for sure. Yeah.
14:06What's your goal so far? My goal? I would love to continue to grow my platform and inspire other people to move to Australia.
14:15And I'm actually doing my yoga teacher training in May. So continue traveling the world, teaching yoga, helping people heal their health.
14:25And yeah, just inspire the world for sure. What advice would you give to other travelers in Sydney?
14:31I would say to be very patient with yourself and be very kind as traveling this far or even moving here, it's a lot.
14:40And you have to be very kind with yourself and be patient with yourself and just have that self-love and self-compassion.
14:46And to not be afraid to do things by yourself, not be afraid to do things solo. Yeah.
14:52You look brave, actually. Yeah.
14:54All right. So thank you for your time. Thank you. Bye. Bye.
14:58Hello. How are you doing? Hello. Thank you. Good. How are you? Yeah. Good. Thank you.
15:02Where are you from? Mexico City. The best place. You should go next. Good for nightlife. Yes.
15:09And partying. Yes. And breaking. Great tequila. Great people.
15:14Where is your favorite place in Sydney? All over Bondi Beach. Camp Cove. Your favorite place in Sydney?
15:20Yeah, Australia is fine. In Australia, Nusa. I like Barangaroo.
15:23Have you faced any culture shock in Australia? Yes. It's very different. But for a few months, it's okay. We can manage it.
15:30There's a lot of Mexican people here, so we can meet with them. Yeah. You feel people from all over the country, so it's kind of nice too.
15:38You get to know every culture. Another friend there. She's another friend from Mexico. Hi. Hi. Hi.
15:45What do you like the most about Mexico? Food. Partying. Everything. Family. Friends. The place. The people.
15:53People. People are very cheerful and friendly. And very fun. Very welcoming. The language.
15:58Hola, guitar. Hola, como estas?
16:01Thank you for time. Thank you. Bye bye. Gracias.
16:04Hi. How are you doing? Hi. Good. Thank you. Yeah.
16:07Where are you from? We're from like near London, like Cambridge. In between Cambridge and London. Yeah.
16:13How long is your stay in Sydney? Only in Sydney for a week, so we're going up the East Coast.
16:18We're in Australia for like just under two months, but we've been in Perth before.
16:22Why did you decide to come to Australia? I've got family here, and then we all just wanted to do the East Coast.
16:29Just wanted to travel. Yeah. Nice beaches. Seen it all over TikTok, everywhere. We wanted to come.
16:35Yeah, lots of videos on social media. Loads of videos, yeah.
16:39Where is your favourite place in Sydney? I like Bondi, but I also... Coogee Beach?
16:44Coogee Beach. I'd say probably the Opera House. Yeah, the Opera House. It's quite impressive.
16:48Where is your favourite place in Australia? I love Perth, but that's because all my family's there.
16:53I've never been to Australia before, but I'd say Perth as well. I've only been to Sydney so far.
16:58Maybe our answer would be a bit different at the end of our trip.
17:01We really like a place called Rottnest Island, which is, you get a ferry from Perth, Fremantle, and you go over and you can do skydiving.
17:11It's like an isolated, like, what do you call it? Island. Like a deserted island. It's amazing.
17:17Do you feel hard to still listen to Australian English? Oh, yeah. Yes, definitely.
17:21They speak very quick, I think. Very fast. Yeah.
17:24I think it's hard to really understand what the Australians are saying compared to English.
17:29I'm pretty used to it though, I think. They say our accent's really strong, but we say their accent's really strong.
17:34Yeah. What do you like the most about England?
17:36Ooh. Not much. Not the weather. Maybe London. I love going to London. Yeah.
17:42We like going to the bars and the pubs in the summer. London is the best place to be. I do love the Eiffel Towers.
17:54Hold on. I meant the London Eye. I meant the London Eye. I love the London Eye.
18:07Thank you for your time. Thank you so much. Have a nice trip. Lovely to meet you.
18:12Hey, how are you doing? Are we good? And you? How are you? Good, thank you. Where are you from?
18:17We're from France. From France. Yeah.
18:19Bonjour. Bonjour. Bonjour. Comment ça va?
18:23Très bien.
18:25How long is your stay in Sydney? I've been here for almost three years.
18:29And I'm here since one year. And we met in Sydney, actually.
18:33Yeah, actually, yeah. We've been working together. Yeah. At the same year, same job.
18:38What do you do? We are working in hospitality. But I'm only doing that. And Amy, she's in a student visa.
18:46Yeah, I'm doing the bachelor degree here at UTS. Very good uni. Yes.
18:51Wow. You're very smart. She is. And Mathilde, she studied back to France.
18:57Yes. I was working in the wealth management as a financial advisor. And in Sydney, I'm just working in hospitality.
19:08I just have a break from my work.
19:10You're like reading books.
19:12Actually, I don't really know what this one is talking about. Just start it.
19:18Yeah, I've seen, I've watched the TV show. Normal people, very good TV show.
19:25Where is your favorite place in Sydney? The Oud. The Oud.
19:29The Oud. If I have to say a cafe, go to the Oud Paddington.
19:33Yes. Best Murphy Inn in Sydney.
19:36It's a very small coffee in Paddington. And it's very good. It's very local.
19:40Yeah. And you've got the terrace at the back. You can sit at the back or just like a balcony at the front.
19:46Yeah. And it's a very nice area. All the long you've got shop and a restaurant.
19:51Do you enjoy nightlife in Sydney?
19:53Yeah. We did.
19:55Yeah. We used to like go out, but now we're more like...
20:00Trying to have a healthier life.
20:02Early bird and just like getting up early and yeah.
20:06You look healthy, actually.
20:07Ah, cool. Thank you.
20:09That's a good point.
20:11But we can just recommend as well a nightclub.
20:15Yeah. So Studio.
20:17Yeah.
20:18And Caterpillar Club.
20:20Caterpillar Club is very good as well.
20:22What else?
20:23I've been to Ivy.
20:25Ah, don't go to Ivy.
20:26I've never tried.
20:27No, I mean like...
20:29When you're new in Sydney, it's good to do it once.
20:32But there are a lot of young people there.
20:34So it depends.
20:35What are you looking for?
20:36Oh, you're very young. You look young.
20:37Ah, I'm 22.
20:38Oh, yeah.
20:39Yeah.
20:40And I'm 27.
20:41Oh, okay, okay.
20:42Yeah.
20:43Where in Sydney do you hang out usually?
20:44Bondi Beach?
20:45We...
20:46I don't really like Bondi because I've been here now for like two years and Matt one year.
20:51So I like going to Samarama, Bronte.
20:56Bronte as well.
20:57Yesterday we went to Shark Beach.
20:59Oh, yes.
21:00Shark Beach.
21:01So more Watson Bay, Vaucluse.
21:02But Shark Beach, it can be scary because of the name, but there is no sharks.
21:06So no worries.
21:07There is a net all around.
21:09And it's very nice there.
21:10Yeah.
21:11Not a lot of people.
21:12Yeah, it's more quieter.
21:13You can do the walk as well.
21:15Yeah.
21:16And Cutie Beach.
21:17Cutie Beach is good as well.
21:19A lot of good spots.
21:20Especially to see the sunsets.
21:22Yes.
21:23It's very good.
21:24What do you like the most about France?
21:26Food.
21:27Of course.
21:28Yes.
21:29Actually, it's true.
21:30Definitely food.
21:31Yeah, the food.
21:32That's what we miss a lot.
21:34Yeah.
21:35Croissons.
21:36Yeah, yeah.
21:37Canned stuff like that.
21:39Cheese.
21:40I love cheese.
21:41I've seen a pear au chocolat for Amy.
21:44Thank you for your time.
21:46Thank you, welcome.
21:47Merci beaucoup.
21:49Hi, how are you doing?
21:50Good, thank you.
21:51How are you?
21:52Yeah, good, thank you.
21:53You're very kind and friendly.
21:55Oh, that's really sweet.
21:56Thanks.
21:57Where are you from?
21:58I'm from the UK.
21:59Do you know Kent?
22:00Yeah, Kent.
22:01Near London.
22:02Yes, near London.
22:03A lot of castles.
22:04Yes, yeah.
22:05It's really pretty.
22:06How long is your stay in Sydney?
22:08So I'm here for about a year and then I might extend.
22:11I'm not really sure how long exactly, but I've been here for six months so far.
22:15What do you do for a living?
22:17I'm a doctor.
22:18Why did you move to Sydney?
22:20Because it's really cold in the UK and very dark a lot of the time.
22:24So I really wanted a change of pace.
22:26I love the idea of being by the sea as we are now.
22:29And I wanted to see a different healthcare system as well because I'd never worked anywhere else.
22:33Have you faced any culture shock in Australia?
22:36I would say yes, actually, because everyone is extremely friendly here, which is super nice.
22:42Everyone will come and speak to you way more spontaneously versus in the UK.
22:47It tends to be a bit less like that.
22:49So yeah, it's really nice.
22:50So many people talk to you.
22:52Yeah.
22:53So for example, even if you just go to a coffee shop and get a coffee, people ask you how you're doing.
22:57And yeah, I almost wasn't used to that when I first came, but it's really nice.
23:02Where is your favorite place in Sydney?
23:04My favorite place has to be Vondai beach so far.
23:07It's just absolutely stunning.
23:08I love the sea.
23:09I'm more of a sea than a city person.
23:11So it's just perfect.
23:13I have to check them all out.
23:14I haven't seen them all yet.
23:15Yeah.
23:16What do you like the most about England?
23:18I really love London.
23:20I love the energy and the buzz around London.
23:23The fact that there's so much to do there.
23:26Obviously, the sea isn't as nice as here.

30:11Yeah.
30:12Why did you decide to move to Sydney?
30:14Honestly, it was quite a spontaneous decision.
30:17I originally planned to move to Bali.
30:19But that didn't happen.

30:27You are in Bali.
30:28Yeah.
30:29You are very active.

31:16Mainly the beaches.
31:17Yeah.
31:18I will go there.
31:19You have to.
31:20It's amazing.
31:21I think Romania is a very underrated place.
31:24A lot of people don't know how beautiful it truly is as well.
31:28And the stereotypes and everything don't help.
31:31But Romania is beautiful to visit and go to the mountains.
31:34Definitely just the mountain side.
31:36I think it's amazing.
31:37And I think everyone has to experience it all.
31:40Transylvania as well.
31:41Yeah.
31:42You should definitely visit when you're in Europe again.
31:45What advice would you give to other travellers in Sydney?
31:48I think advice I would give to people.
31:51Travellers in Sydney.

31:55And be kind.
31:56And you don't know who.
31:57Especially if you're a solo traveller.
31:59I think you can make so many friends here.
32:02People are very friendly as well.
32:04So that's how I met you as well.
32:07So I think just be open-hearted.
32:09Be open to any opportunities as well.
32:11And to meet new people.
32:14And they host a lot of events.
32:15And if you just sign up to events online.
32:17I think you're able to meet a lot of people.
32:20If you're solo travelling.
32:21Yeah.
32:22Yeah.
32:23You're very open-minded.
