00:00This is one where I can't get around it.
00:02You are supposed to, as a coach, look out for your players.
00:06Now, if it's a game where you have to win,
00:07which theoretically New England had to win,
00:09but this wasn't a, hey man, it's 16-15 entering into the fourth quarter.
00:14We just can't worry about Drake May's statistics for an MVP.
00:16We got to win this to keep up.
00:17I understand.
00:19That game was a blowout from jump to start.
00:20The Dolphins told you it was going to be a blowout by saying,
00:23look, Waddle's not playing.
00:24Tua's not playing in this football game.
00:25Not even Devon Achan is going to play in this football game.
00:27We're going to roll over for this, okay?
00:29And yet, you don't pad some stats for Drake May while the Rams understood,
00:34hey, Matthew Stafford, you're one of the best quarterbacks to ever do it.
00:37How about we hang an MVP on your mantle?
00:39Every chance we get in this game, which we have to win as well,
00:41we're going to let you throw touchdown passes.
00:43You went from a minus 500 or so as a favorite for Drake May
00:47before entering into week 18 for the MVP at certain outlets here.
00:50Now you take a look at this graphic.
00:52Matthew Stafford is a minus 175 favorite to win MVP,
00:56and Drake May is now a plus 140.
00:57It's rare you get chances to win an MVP,
00:59and when you have a layup game that your coach can call just a few passing plays
01:04inside the five-yard line to pad those stats and have you win it,
01:06and you don't do it, I think it's a terrible look for Mike Vrabel.
01:09I just do, Joe.
01:10What are your thoughts on this now?
01:12Can we get a, like, dual MVP?
01:15Can we get a co-MVP?
01:17Have we ever had a co-MVP?
01:18I mean, in the AFC, we have two MVPs.
01:24We got an AFC, we got MVPs.
01:25I mean, come on.
01:26It's like, it's, you knew it was happening, too, watching it go on.
01:31It was just that they had so much success running the ball,
01:35New England did, against Miami, where it was just like,
01:38and then Miami kept scoring and keeping the game close.
01:41It just, it was unfortunate the way it unfolded,
01:45but there was no doubt that McVay and company,
01:48he was going to play the majority of that game regardless
01:51and racked up four touchdowns in the process.
01:55Not a rushing touchdown.
01:56Four touchdown passes inside the red zone for touchdowns.
02:00That is how you do it, and that is experience with McVay for you.
