00:15Finally back in the arms of owner Sue Lee Seo after a month of specialist around the

00:21She's the most beautiful cat in the world.
00:23She was in a pretty bad way. She couldn't walk. She was suffering from severe smoke inhalation.
00:29She'd burnt all her legs, her face was badly burnt, her ears were badly burnt, her tail
00:34was badly burnt and she was really at risk of dying at that point.
00:40The two-year-old former stray found the strength to pull through, enduring multiple surgeries
00:46including skin grafts on her feet.
00:50Sassy is all Sue Lee has left. The Kuliwong bushfire in December took her two other cats
00:57and destroyed her home. She's forever grateful for the medical treatment that kept her cat
01:03alive.
01:04We weren't sure whether she was coming back. We weren't sure how much internal damage that
01:09was.
01:10Sassy's medical bill, while heavily discounted, has so far climbed into the tens of thousands
01:15of dollars, mostly paid for through the generosity of strangers through crowdfunding.
01:21Sassy was a fighter and she was keen to live.
01:24It's coming home. The home is coming to me, not I'm going back home.
01:29For Sue Lee, finally getting to bring Sassy home is the beginning of the next chapter as
01:34she prepares to rebuild.
