Learn how to compare two columns of dates in Excel.

Comparing date columns in Excel can be a valuable task, particularly when working with large datasets or tracking time-sensitive information. To compare date columns, you can employ various methods depending on your specific needs. For example, to compare dates in Excel with the current date, you can use functions like "TODAY()" or "NOW()" to retrieve the current date or date and time, respectively. Then, you can use simple mathematical operators to check if a date in your column is equal to, greater than, or less than the current date. Additionally, when comparing two date-time values in Excel, you can use arithmetic operations to find the difference between the two and determine which one is more recent. Excel provides a versatile set of tools to help you effectively manage and analyze date-related data, making these comparisons an essential skill for many professionals and Excel users.

Use this formula as shown in my video.

=FILTER(B2:B30,NOT(COUNTIF(C2:C19,B2:B30)))

00:00I recently uploaded a video on how you can compare two columns of data like this
00:03but someone didn't quite if I can apply the same formula to dates as well well
00:07this is how I did I'm gonna start off with count if I'm gonna compare if the
00:11committed date actually exists on your original date like this so basically
00:15what it does is I counts all the number of existing dates between those two
00:19there's a couple of them they exist twice but we're not overly concerned or
00:22interested on dates that already exists we are more interested on something that
00:27doesn't exist so basically we're gonna do is we're gonna say not like this and it
00:31will reverse everything upside down and from here you can do filter encapsulated
00:36and then the first argument on a filter would be the original date itself comma
00:40would be the not count if and you close it and this will give you this from here
00:45you just change this to a date format and you're done
