The United States woke up to news that US special forces captured long-serving Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores in a “large-scale strike” with many Venezuelans in the US rejoicing at the early Saturday (Jan 3) morning operation.
The US said the couple had been indicted for charges related to narco-terrorism conspiracy.

00:12The Mar-a-Lago residence of U.S. President Donald Trump in Florida was calm with its usual security presence hours after Trump announced on social media the arrests of Maduro and his wife Celia Flores with narco-terrorism conspiracy charges leveled against them.
00:30U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Maduro and Flores have been indicted in the Southern District of New York for charges related to narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation conspiracy, and possession of machine guns and destructive devices against the U.S.

00:52She commended the military for conducting a successful mission to capture them.
