USC Trojans quarterbacks coach Luke Huard, quarterback Jayden Maiava, Running Back King Miller, and Offensive Lineman Tobias Raymond discusses impact of playing in a bowl game. Raymond talks about getting to start in a bowl game and how it is fun being in bowl games.

00:00Coach, it seems to be like a family fair here in the USC Athletic Department.

00:04How's it like working with your nephew on the team and then your niece also plays sports?

00:09Are Thanksgiving conversations, are USC sports prohibited to be talked about?

00:13What's it like?

00:14Oh, it's never off limits for sure, especially if there's a play in practice that needs to

00:18be corrected.

00:19But no, it's been awesome having my nephew Sam here for sure.

00:23He's been a tremendous teammate to everybody on our team.

00:27He's been great in the quarterback room because he brings a lot of different experiences.

00:32And my niece, Holly, she is actually our athletic director's executive assistant.

00:36So her athletic eligibility has expired, but it has been neat and it's been great to having

00:42my brother come down to games and, you know, once a Husky family.

00:48We're all Trojans now and it's just been a tremendous experience and one that we've really, really

00:53relished.

00:54Did he have to get approval to go on the Dolphin interaction later on?

00:59That's going to be fantastic.

01:01I cannot wait to see the video highlights of that, so.

01:06Tobias, last year your first start came in a bowl game at the Las Vegas Bowl.

01:12So, what can you bring from that experience, not only for yourself, but for your teammates,

01:16about what it can mean to play in a bowl game?

01:18Yeah, it's obviously going to be a lot of fun.

01:21You get a couple days leading up into the bowl game and you got to balance having fun,

01:25but also staying locked in and just being ready for the job.

01:28But starting a bowl game is always like a great experience just because, I mean, first

01:32start is awesome, but having it be in a bowl game is also like, it's pretty cool.

01:36So, it's awesome to take home that jersey and be able to put it up on the wall and have

01:41something super memorable with you.
