00:00:56In most of the Western world, we conceive of time as a straight line of past, present, and future.

00:01:07But in many cultures, they think of time as a plane in which you can move backwards and forwards.

00:01:12Yeah, we have this in many Eastern traditions, and the Mayans believed in this, too.

00:01:17And they described otherworldly beings coming from different points in the universe and from different points in time.

00:01:22Well, Albert Einstein proved theoretically that time travel is possible.

00:01:29We talked about this in a 2012 episode of Ancient Aliens called The Time Travelers.

00:01:44Albert Einstein publishes his special theory on relativity.

00:01:49According to his astonishing scientific breakthrough, space and time are one.

00:01:55In the old theory of Newton, space was a rigid container, and time was an absolute flow.

00:02:04In Einstein's theory, this was revolutionized.

00:02:07Space now became a flexible medium, and time now could be altered.

00:02:13Einstein realized that if you move faster, the ticks on your clock actually change.

00:02:18Prior to Einstein, no one understood that or would even have expected that, because it only happens when you get very, very close to the speed of light.

00:02:26There is a way within the laws of physics to travel long distances and still be alive.

00:02:35And that actually is related to special relativity and the idea that if you can travel very, very close to the speed of light, time will slow down for you.

00:02:44And in this sense, if you could travel very near the speed of light, only a day or two would pass instead of the whole four years.

00:03:00Adolf Hitler and his Nazi party take power, and Albert Einstein flees to the United States.

00:03:09Fearing Hitler's rise to power, he warns the U.S. and the world of terrible dangers posed to humanity,

00:03:17especially if Nazis were to acquire advanced technology.

00:03:25But by revealing to the world his breakthrough theories,

00:03:29might Einstein have accidentally helped the Nazis build a time machine?

00:03:36Southwest Poland, the Owl Mountains.

00:03:39Here, concealed under rolling hills, were seven underground complexes built for a top-secret Nazi program called D-Glock.

00:03:51Some researchers believe it was in these covert facilities between 1943 and 1945

00:03:59that Third Reich scientists carried out clandestine experiments in an effort to win World War II.

00:04:09They were developing lots of exotic things.

00:04:13They were in charge of the V-1, the V-2 rocket programs.

00:04:18But then, I think the culmination of their experimentation was with D-Glock or the bell.

00:04:24They called it that because it was bell-shaped.

00:04:28What this appeared to be was some sort of device that had very, very powerful, rapidly rotating, energetic magnetic fields.

00:04:36And there are thoughts that this basically was a time machine,

00:04:42that the idea was that you would be able to move back and forth in time,

00:04:48change history, change certain events, and create a new timeline and a new reality.

00:04:53The existence of the mysterious bell-shaped device, measuring 9 feet wide and 12 feet tall,

00:05:09was first exposed by the high-ranking Nazi general, Jakob Sporenberg,

00:05:14while being interrogated by Polish authorities after the war.

00:05:18But when the Allies eventually captured the German research center,

00:05:26neither the Nazi bell nor its project commander, Hans Kammler, could be found.

00:05:32Hans Kammler was in charge of all the super-secret Nazi technology.

00:05:37And this guy just disappears after the war.

00:05:40In fact, there are four official versions of his death.

00:05:45So nobody really knows how he died, when he died, if he died, where he went, or what happened.

00:05:56Is it possible that the German military was experimenting with time travel technology?

00:06:04And if so, might the Nazi bell have actually traveled to the future?

00:06:16Thousands witness a brilliant fireball flash across the sky

00:06:21before crashing in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

00:06:27The military was immediately on the scene, grabbed everything up, and then said nothing happened.

00:06:37The thing that intrigues me about the Kecksburg crash is the description of the object.

00:06:43Unlike most of the flying saucers you hear about, this one was bulbous, has been described like an acorn,

00:06:50or what I could see is kind of something that resembled the Nazi bell.

00:06:57Might the object that crashed at Kecksburg have been the long-lost Nazi bell that disappeared 20 years earlier?

00:07:04And is it possible that German scientists had discovered a way to transport humans from one time and place to another,

00:07:14as some researchers believe?

00:07:18If so, did they use Einstein's theories to create their own time machine?

00:07:24Or might their inspiration have been perhaps more divine?

00:07:38While on an expedition through the northeast region of the Himalayan mountains,

00:07:45Nazi officials searching for the origins of the Aryan, or master race,

00:07:50instead discovered the Buddhist teachings known as the Kala Chakra.

00:07:57In the Buddhist tradition, there's the notion of samsara, or the wheel of time.

00:08:01In the Kala Chakra initiation, the teaching is to understand time,

00:08:08particularly biological time,

00:08:12calendar time,

00:08:15and astrological time,

00:08:17and how those things actually influence you.

00:08:24And so what the discipline of Kala Chakra is telling us

00:08:28is that whereas we seem to see time as linear,

00:08:32this is not the case,

00:08:33that time is somehow cyclical,

00:08:35and that we can somehow master this and control time.

00:08:40Throughout the Buddhist world,

00:08:42the Buddhists build what they call stupas.

00:08:45They look very much like the Nazi bell.

00:08:49The stupas,

00:08:50it is that we can use this shape

00:08:53to somehow connect with the gods.

00:08:55Now, when we put the practice of Kala Chakra on this,

00:08:59what we are talking about

00:09:01is somehow a practice of transcending time.

00:09:06The Kala Chakra teaching

00:09:07gives individuals actual practices and techniques

00:09:11to be able to step outside of time

00:09:14and to be able to move in time.

00:09:17So, it's entirely possible

00:10:02is Chaco Canyon in the desert of New Mexico.

00:10:05And it is built with very precise geometry

00:10:08and was built by the Anasazi

00:10:09over a thousand years ago.

00:10:11And according to Native American tradition,

00:10:13this is the place where the Anasazi

00:10:15went to contact star people

00:10:16who could traverse space and time.

00:10:19Yeah, I mean,

00:10:19I visited Chaco Canyon in 2012,

00:10:22and I saw some of the most amazing petroglyphs

00:10:25featuring these very strange humanoid figures.

00:10:28And many Native Americans today claim

00:10:30that these carvings are representations

00:10:32of the so-called star people.

00:10:35Chaco Canyon, New Mexico.

00:10:48In a remote desert region,

00:10:52150 miles northwest of Albuquerque,

00:10:56lie the mysterious ruins

00:10:57of an ancient Pueblo people.

00:11:00Called the Anasazi,

00:11:01This is the plaza of Pueblo Bonito.

00:11:15This is a representation

00:11:17of our place in the universe.

00:11:20You've got the worlds above,

00:11:22the worlds below,

00:11:25is our plane of our world.

00:11:28This is the exact place

00:11:31where time and space began

00:11:34for the ancestral Pueblans

00:11:36who inhabited this place

00:11:45Scholars believe the Anasazi,

00:11:48or ancient ones,

00:11:50built their civilization

00:11:51with advanced knowledge

00:11:52of engineering,

00:11:54mathematics,

00:12:01that is perfectly circular,

00:12:03that goes out

00:12:04in perfectly straight lines,

00:12:05that the structures

00:12:06of the city themselves

00:12:07actually predict

00:12:08of the 5,200-year cycle

00:12:10and cycles of the sun,

00:12:11all in the geometry,

00:12:18elaborate constructions

00:12:20which required

00:12:22engineering skills

00:12:23beyond what the local folks had.

00:12:27by an advanced civilization.

00:12:43as part of a promise

00:12:44of a way of living,

00:12:45that they were

00:12:47to uphold

00:12:48the wishes

00:12:52is the delivery

00:12:53of the teachings.

00:12:54The teachings came

00:13:12the star people

00:13:13who brought knowledge

00:13:22the ancient rituals

00:13:24of Chaco Canyon.

00:13:43to enable time travel.
