00:00At 1.15pm on Wednesday 3rd December, HM Coast Guard receives a call for help.
00:06A 73-year-old male is struggling to reach a safe exit from a beach in Newquay, Cornwall.
00:12Newquay Coast Guard rescue team is sent and arrives to find the man stuck on rocks with fierce waves crashing below.
00:20They call for support from an HM Coast Guard search and rescue helicopter and RNLI Newquay lifeboat.
00:26Rope rescue team members then extricate the man to the safety of the cliffs above, where he's assessed and reunited with family.
00:33If you're in trouble at the sea or on the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coast Guard.
