43:49here's the short version
43:50my parents were both junior hockey coaches
43:55and
43:57they were hit by a drunk driver
43:59when i was 12 years old
44:00mercifully for them
44:02they died instantly
44:04mercifully for me
44:06the saint thomas scholarships existed
44:09i didn't have
44:13anybody else to help me
44:14had a lot of memories
44:17a love of hockey
44:18and
44:19a huge hole in my heart
44:20saint thomas filled it with hope
44:24the hope
44:26of a new family
44:27things
44:28things weren't always easy
44:30you know
44:31they never are
44:31for anybody
44:32but
44:32in hockey
44:34i found what i was missing
44:36first at my high school
44:38then later at college
44:40and now here
44:40with the admins
44:41and i never looked back
44:44because i
44:45i never had to
44:46the family i craved
44:50the family that i needed
44:51that i still need today
44:53hockey gave it to me
44:57and saint thomas gave me hockey
45:00so from the bottom of my heart
