00:13The flooding of several rivers, especially in the Guadalcorce Valley,
00:17has forced many residents to abandon their homes in the middle of the night to save their lives.
00:22Our correspondent Sergio Rodriguez tells us more details.
00:25At Auxy's house, the water washed everything away.
00:31After 9.30 p.m., the water forced this family with two small children
00:35to take refuge on the upper floor of the house in the face of this imminent risk of being trapped.
00:43Water was coming in from everywhere.
00:47They lost their mattresses, the living room, the children's bed, the crib, everything.
00:53The washing machine, the refrigerator, the kitchen is completely inusable.
01:00The water reached the third drawer in the kitchen.
01:03Last night, everyone was here.
01:06They had to go upstairs and spend the night as best as they could,
01:11because there was nothing they could do downstairs.
01:14Mercedes and Francisco experienced moments of panic
01:17after the Guadalors, the river overflowed and a heavy hailed storm made their situation worse.

01:30The garage filled up, and then the water started to come in through the kitchen and the patio.
01:36It was deadly.
01:37An impressive thing.
01:38Suddenly, we saw that the water was covering everything.
01:45We climbed onto the sofa to wait, but it kept rising,
01:48so we decided to go to the stairwell, because it wouldn't reach there.
01:52And there, we spent the night as best as we could.
01:56The Guadalorce Valley has been one of the most affected areas by the red alert,
02:01a phenomenon that is not new and recurs with every episode of extreme rainfall.
02:09Unfortunately, not even a year and two months ago, something very similar happened.
02:13The same streets, the same park, the same school, and the same consequences.
02:18This is repetitive.
02:19We have been asking the Andalusian government for a solution for some time.
02:24There is a canal that was built about 25 years ago, and needs work.
02:30Even so, we must be grateful for the cleanup of the Guadalorce River,
02:34because thanks to that, today we can be a little more at ease.
02:40Heavy rains have caused the death of a man in Alaurín el Grande.
02:44After the river was away, the van he was traveling in.
02:48Two other people are missing.
02:50We were here doing some work on the farm, and we have already seen the civil guard,
02:57helicopter, and various search teams, such as neighbors and volunteers who are looking for him.
