This match on the **March 8, 2001 episode of WWE SmackDown! ** wasn’t a traditional one-fall bout but rather a 3-on-1 gauntlet-style encounter where Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, and Perry Saturn (the Radicalz) took turns facing Chris Benoit after Benoit challenged them to settle their issues one at a time. Benoit first battled Saturn, with both men exchanging strikes and offense before Benoit ultimately forced Saturn to submit to the Crippler Crossface. Next up was Malenko, who used technical attacks and even a low blow with Saturn’s interference, but Benoit fought back and scored a pinfall after a series of suplexes. Finally, Eddie came in as the last Radical, and after Malenko and Saturn attacked Benoit from behind and softened him up, Guerrero hit his signature top-rope frog splash to pin Benoit and win the gauntlet. The segment ended with the Radicalz celebrating together, signaling Benoit’s estrangement from the group.

08:15Well, I guess Guerrero just proved Benoit wrong.

08:21Now, Chris Benoit with a gutsy challenge, he got new Saturn, Malenko,

08:26but only after the street mugging by the Radicals,

08:29did Eddie Guerrero pick up the victory over the Rabid Wolverine.

08:33Well, you know, come to think of it, Benoit deserves to be in the Radicals anyway.

08:37I mean, it's free, then, and Terry, that's cool.

08:39Yeah, that's cool, all right, real cool what the Radicals did to Chris Benoit.
