Baykar’s Bayraktar KIZILELMA unmanned combat aircraft has achieved a historic milestone by carrying out, for the first time in the world, a fully autonomous coordinated flight between two unmanned fighter aircraft, with no human intervention.
The achievement underscores Türkiye’s progress in the development of next-generation aerial combat systems.
Developed entirely with domestic resources, the Bayraktar KIZILELMA—the country’s first unmanned fighter aircraft—continues to accumulate world firsts in aviation. About a month ago, the platform had already made history by becoming the world’s first unmanned fighter to shoot down an aerial target, firing a beyond-visual-range (BVR) air-to-air missile guided by its internal AESA radar.
