The man arrested in connection with an explosion in Desa Palma, Nilai, has been remanded for a week until Jan 3.

The remand order against the 62-year-old man was issued by Senior Assistant Registrar Siti Nur Ain Ariffin at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital, Negri Sembilan, where the suspect is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.

00:31Murder, Section 435 for Causing Mischief with Explosives, as well as Section 4 of the Corrosive
00:38and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act, 1958.
00:43The man, who suffered burns on his face, body, hands and feet, was arrested in the Batangbenar
00:49area in Nilai on Saturday afternoon.
00:53Police also found several objects suspected to be improvised explosive devices on the
00:57suspect at the time of the arrest.
01:00The suspect, known as Aiyang, was believed to possess technical knowledge and specific
01:05skills in making explosive materials, based on the discovery of devices and equipment seized
01:11at the man's rented house.
