00:10:30It's going to be James chapter 1, and we start with verse 2.
00:10:35Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of the many kinds,
00:10:41because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
00:10:48Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete for lacking in anything.
00:10:56Now, if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all, without finding fault,
00:11:05and will be given to him, but he must ask in faith.
00:11:11Without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
00:11:21That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
00:11:25He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
00:11:30The brother in humble circumstances should exult in his high position,
00:11:35But the one who is rich should exult in his low position, because he will pass away like a flower of the field.
00:11:44For the sun rises with scorching heat, and withers the plant.
00:11:49Its flower falls as beauty is lost.
00:11:52So too the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
00:11:57Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test,
00:12:04he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
00:12:11The Lord puts us all through trials and tribulations.
00:12:22All mankind has them.

00:12:33It's really a blessed man.
00:12:36It's the one who perseveres with his love for the Lord, even though he is dealing with a lot.
00:12:45When we still love the Lord, even though we've done what we've had to deal with, gone through what we've had to deal with,
00:12:53that is the true one that loves the Lord.
00:12:59If you can go through what you go through in life, and still say thank you to the Lord,
00:13:08then you are truly a joyous Christian.
00:13:13I've dealt through it with a lot of trials in my life.
00:13:17And for the longest time, I wasn't a joyous Christian.
00:13:23I was a hateful one, to be honest.
00:13:27I used to call myself a happy backslider, but I wasn't happy.
00:13:33I was hateful.
00:13:35I was lost.
00:13:38A true Christian loves the Lord no matter what.
00:13:44We should all be thankful.
00:13:45And you become a stronger Christian.
00:13:48The stronger, the more difficult the trial.
00:13:56The stronger your faith should be.
00:14:00For you survived it.
00:14:02The Lord proves he loves us because we survived it.
00:14:07We should never blame the Lord for our losses.
00:14:12We should be grateful that we survived it.
00:14:15We should be grateful that we are still with the Lord.
00:14:20The Lord still loves us no matter what.
00:14:24With everything that I've done in my life,
00:14:27the Lord's still here with me.
00:14:30The Lord still stands with me.

00:14:40I've honestly never experienced unconditional love.
00:14:46Other than from my daughter.
00:14:48But that's, you know, a child's love.
