00:00Breaking news coming in Luthra Brothers police custody that has now been extended for another
00:04four days. The next hearing that is to be held on the 29th of December. Remember the Luthra
00:09brothers are being interrogated by the Goa police in connection to the Birch nightclub fire
00:15and their custody that has now been extended by another four days is what we are hearing.
00:21The matter as was heard in court today, the Luthra brothers who are being interrogated by
00:26the Goa police on the lapses that were existent at the club and what exactly led to the fire.
00:35Let me cut across to my colleague Divyesh Singh who has been tracking all the developments
00:39on the story. Divyesh, give us more information on what happened in the court as we hear that
00:46their police custody has been extended by another four days for the Luthra brothers.
00:56All right, we'll try and reconnect that line with Divyesh Singh. There seems to be a technical
01:03snag. However, this is the latest that is just coming in. The Luthra brothers will continue
01:09to remain in police custody, which they were until now and today was when the court was
01:13to reconvene. But the decision that has been taken that the police custody has been extended
01:18for another four days, which means that the next hearing in this case will be on the 29th
01:24of December. 25 people who lost their lives in the Goa nightclub fire. But most importantly,
01:31how the Luthra brothers fled. As soon as they learned of the fire, as soon as they learned
01:37that the situation was out of control, they immediately booked their tickets to Phuket
01:41and they fled to Phuket. Had it not been for the extradition treaty between India and Thailand
01:47and how swiftly the MEA, the Goa police acted to build a watertight case to present evidences
01:54to the Thai authorities and how their passports were revoked is when they could not flee any
02:00further. They were brought back to India. And now in the latest, we are learning that the
02:05police custody has been extended by another four days. Divyesh Singh is back with us on the
02:09broadcast. Divyesh, what happened in court?
02:11Well, so if the Luthra brothers got out and saw the Luthra brothers in court and where
02:17Arjuna police, in estimating the birth by Romuala Inspired case, informed the court that there
02:23are some documents, there is, there are, there are, there are, there are, there are, there are
02:25some, there are some, there are some, there are some, there are some documents that are being
02:27carried out by the Luthra brothers and for that they need to recover some important
02:32documents from the Luthra brothers and that is why they need more custody, they need further
02:37custody of the Luthra brothers. The court heard arguments from both sides, from the defense
02:42as well. And after that, the court granted four days extended custody to the Luthra brothers.
02:48Meanwhile, while the Luthra brothers were being stationed inside court, one of the brothers
02:53said that he would assume he was sorry. And then they moved inside the court. Now they will
03:00be in custody. Remember, their first partner, Ajay Bhikta, has already been arrested in another
03:04case of forgery registered by the Makta police station where the X-type, where the N-O-P-4-X-type
03:11blighter was hold. And further Luthra brothers could also be charged in the same case. Meanwhile,
03:18there is another forgery suspicion of documents being carried out by the Luthra brothers for
03:23running the club. And that is why the Anjuna police in Guha has sought further custody. And now,
03:30four various custody has been granted further. So, Luthra brothers will remain in the custody
03:36of Anjuna police station for four more days later. All right. Divirash, many thanks for getting us the latest
