00:00And as you say there, you are in Bethlehem at the moment, and obviously we must remember that even though it is a festive period, diplomacy, Hassassian, is still happening.
00:14And it's really important to highlight that Turkey and Hamas delegations have been meeting in Ankara to discuss the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal today.
00:24Is this a positive signal that this meeting went ahead today?
00:30Yes, I think it is positive because I think now Hamas and in particular Turkey is very much interested to be a potent active player in this peace process and the question of Gaza.
00:46So I think there is a certain kind of political clout when it comes to Turkey trying to set the question of negotiations with Hamas.
01:00And the problem here is that whether the Israelis are ready to negotiate the second phase of Trump's plan.
01:09I think, you know, the American president, you know, has to play now a significant role.
01:14He has to impose on both parties to come to the negotiating table.
01:18And I think, you know, Israel now is going to resist.
01:22Israel is procrastinating.
01:25Netanyahu is creating new facts on the ground.
01:27He doesn't want to leave Gaza completely.
01:29He is trying to create buffer zones because elections are coming.
01:34And for him to be reelected, he has to show some teeth as when it comes, you know, to the withdrawal from Gaza or making a deal with Hamas.
01:44So from one side, you can say that, you know, the impact of Turkey on Hamas is significant.
01:52But the question is, can Trump deliver the Israelis to the negotiating table?
