00:00Yeah, the other game that we'll take a look at, Coach, took place on Saturday afternoon.
00:05Texas A&M was a three-and-a-half-point home favorite over Miami.
00:10Points were very hard to come by.
00:12This game was scoreless at halftime.
00:15Both defenses stepping up.
00:16Both quarterbacks and the passing attack looked a little bit tight.
00:20But in the second half, the rushing attack of Mark Fletcher and the Hurricanes took over.
00:24Coach, they had a monumental stop, a goal-line stop against the Aggies.
00:30To preserve the win, they grind out a 10-3 victory over Texas A&M and Mike Elko.
00:36If they run like that, the Hurricanes potentially could make some noise against Ohio State next week.
00:44Well, I'll tell you a couple of things that I saw, too, is that, one, that defense played like Miami defenses of old.
00:50Seven sacks.
00:52They were all over the field.
00:53They dominated the line of scrimmage.
00:56That defense, Ruben Bain did a great job.
01:00At the defensive end position, three sacks himself and blocked the field goal and did a great job.
01:07And so, it was really Miami playing great defense.
01:10And then, when the wind's blowing like it was blowing, it was a terrible crosswind that affected the field goal kickers.
01:16You better have a running game.
01:17And what?
01:18And then you had a quarterback.
01:19And Miami had the running game.
01:20175 yards running game.
01:22And so, that was the difference in the game.
01:24And, yes, when you can play defense and run the football, you've got a chance in every single game you play.
01:30Yeah, absolutely.
01:31And Mark Fletcher had a huge run.
01:33The game was tied 3-3 late in the fourth quarter.
01:37He rips off a 50-yard run to put the Hurricanes in position to score the game-winning touchdown.
01:44Malachi Tony that did have a critical fumble earlier in the quarter.
01:48He scores on the fly sweep.
01:50And all of a sudden, the Hurricanes did steal it.
01:52But Mark Fletcher, coach, a very physical runner between the tackles.
01:56That looked like an SEC-caliber offense, a line from Miami.
02:01And, again, that could be the recipe potentially to upsetting the Buckeyes.
02:06Well, the thing is, you do it again.
02:08It could be because of the way that the defense they were playing against Texas A&M is very –
02:12these were two really great defenses.
02:14You've got to score points.
02:15Ten points is not going to be enough to get you very far.
02:19But I do think they've proven they are supposed to be here.
02:22They were the last kind of team taken in the 12 top teams.
02:26And they proved they can play.
02:28So a good enough offensive running game and defense to show they can play.
