00:01The Saudi-Emirati rivalry in Hadhramaut has turned bloody, serving colonialist interests within Yemen.
00:09Translated by Ustad Abdulaziz Al-Hamid, Wilayah, Yemen
00:13In conjunction with the truce between the Jewish entity and Hamas,
00:17the pace of diplomatic work in Yemen increased and international pressure
00:21increased for the parties to enter into comprehensive peace negotiations
00:26led by the United Nations.
00:28The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Gruenberg, held several talks with Yemeni officials
00:33and with officials from the countries participating in the Yemen war,
00:37specifically Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and behind them America and Britain in both Muscat and Riyadh.
00:45The Houthis demanded that Saudi Arabia implement the roadmap it announced with American approval,
00:50which grants the Houthis the lion's share of influence and wealth in the country.
00:54For his part, the Saudi foreign minister reiterated that the roadmap is ready for implementation,
01:01implicitly suggesting that the obstacle to its implementation is the Al-Alimi government
01:06and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council.
01:11Indeed, Edoras al-Subeidi, head of the Southern Transitional Council, declared that the roadmap is no longer suitable.
01:18Government officials stressed that the solution must be based on the three agreed-upon frameworks,
01:24the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference,
01:28and UN Security Council Resolution 2216,
01:32which considers the Houthis an illegitimate militia that must surrender its weapons.
01:36Thus, the situation in Yemen remained stagnant.
01:38However, Saudi Arabia recently exerted political pressure to enter into peace negotiations
01:44without preconditions to implement that roadmap.
01:47The British, however, did not like this because that roadmap marginalizes the role of the Al-Alimi government
01:54and the parties affiliated with it and enables the Houthis and Saudi Arabia
01:58to run the country in service of American interests.
02:01Therefore, Britain instructed the UAE to move militarily through its Transitional Council to Hadramaut
02:07and move several brigades from the temporary capital Aden towards Hadramaut
02:12in a move that was ostensibly to confront the rebellion of the tribal Sheikh Amr bin Habrish
02:18who demands the rights of Hadramaut
02:21and whom Saudi Arabia supported by forming four brigades outside the control of the state
02:26under the banner of defending the rights of Hadramaut.
02:30When the Transitional Council forces began to move towards Hadramaut,
02:33Saudi Arabia instructed Amr bin Habrish to enter the oil fields in the Hadramaut Plateau
02:40under the pretext of protecting them from, quote-unquote, invading forces
02:44from outside the governor's right and to entrench himself there.
02:47In a rapidly unfolding scene, massive forces arrived in Hadramaut
02:51but they bypassed the tribal Sheikh Amr bin Habrish
02:54and continued the journey towards the city of Wadi Hadramaut
02:57to liberate it from northern forces affiliated with the Al-Alimi government.
03:02In a theatrical scene, the northern forces withdrew
03:05allowing the Transitional Council forces to enter the cities of the valley
03:10one after another without resistance under the slogans of, quote-unquote, liberation.
03:16Here, the Saudi response came quickly
03:18as the Homeland Shield forces stationed in Wadi Hadramaut
03:22moved and seized control of the 23rd Mechanized Brigade positions
03:27and hence the vast Al-Abar, Al-Ambar region
03:30which has a large border with Saudi Arabia.
03:33At the same time, the high-level delegation headed by Al-Kahtani
03:37was sent to Hadramaut capital, Al-Muqalla
03:40to sign a truce agreement with the governor of the province
03:43based on which Amr ibn Habrish's forces would withdraw from the oil fields
03:48and the Transitional Council forces would withdraw
03:51and return to their bases outside the Hadramaut province.
03:54This clearly thwarted the Emirati plan
03:57to control all of the oil-rich Hadramaut province
04:00along with the neighboring Al-Mahra province
04:03which announced the handover of its bases
04:05to the Transitional Council without a fight.
04:08However, the Transitional Council forces did not respond to that agreement
04:12and attacked Amr ibn Habrish and expelled him from the oil sectors.
04:16The Saudi delegation is still stationed in Hadramaut governorate
04:20rejecting the presence of the Transitional Council forces there
04:24and pushing the newly appointed governor of the governorate
04:27to ask his government to expel the Transitional Council forces
04:30from outside the governorate
04:33or threaten to resign in order to leave the governorship vacant
04:36and further complicate the already chaotic political scene.
04:40At the same time, the Saudi-backed Homeland Shield forces stationed in Al-Mahra
04:45moved and seized the governorate's camps, institutes and border crossings.
04:50Thus, the Emirati plan to control the entire Hadramaut governorate largely failed
04:55and the Prime Minister Rashad Al-Alemi was summoned to Riyadh for consultations.
05:00However, it is not expected that the Transitional Council forces will withdraw so easily
05:05as they still control many sensitive areas within the governorate
05:08such as the oil sector, ports, airports, islands and others.
05:13However, for the first time, a bloody clash erupted within Hadramaut involving heavy weapons.
05:19Many were killed and wounded on both sides, all from the same province.
05:24Thus, colonialism is indifferent to bloodshed as long as it is not its own.
05:28There are those willing to fight for its interests at a paltry price
05:33even at the expense of brotherhood, deen and aqidah.
05:37O people of Yemen,
05:38Islam forbids a Muslim from fighting his fellow Muslim
05:41except within very specific limits, as defined by Islamic Sharia law.
05:46None of these limits apply to the current fighting in Yemen
05:48which serves the interests of the Catholic colonialists
05:51seeking influence and wealth in the country.
05:54The solution begins with disassociating ourselves from all local leaders without exception
05:59for they operate solely on the backs of foreign powers
06:02and work to serve the interests of others
06:05even if they raise glittering banners like
06:07quote-unquote death to America
06:09or quote-unquote the rights of Hadramaut
06:12or quote-unquote liberation from the Northerners.
06:15All these regional and sectarian slogans are deceptive
06:18concealing absolute subservience to the Kafir colonialists.
06:22The solution culminates in the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashida
06:26rightly guided caliphate on the method of prophethood
06:29which would end the bloodshed of Muslims
06:32protect their wealth and expel colonialist influence
06:35and its agents from the land.
06:37We in Hizb al-Tahrir call upon you
06:39to rally around this great project
06:41through which the goodness of this world
06:44and the hereafter will be achieved.
06:46Wassalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
