00:00This is a production of the U.S. Department of State.
00:30Well, wrestling fans, when we talk about unit association.
00:58If you look to the way of the Bullet Club War Dogs, you will tie together two men in Taiji Ishimori and Troll Maloney.
01:06And as much as Maloney and Ishimori get on just as well as they do, Maloney has been getting on with Shingo Takagi of the Unaffiliated in a major, major way.
01:16A team that Maloney and Takagi themselves have intentions to both make past World Tag League and head into 2026 pursuing IWGP Goldwyn.
01:27Yeah, I mean, if this was a trio that wanted to pursue Never Overweight Six Man Gold, I would buy into it.
01:33I love this team, man. Shingo and Driller have been phenomenal over the course of World Tag League.
01:39You add in Taiji Ishimori, who's, I mean, he's got a lot of previous with Shingo as an opposite side to the ring when Shingo Takagi was a junior heavyweight.
01:48But they're both of that same generation, the famous class of 82, Ishimori and Shingo Takagi.
01:55And I think this trio could be really something special.
01:58Taiji Ishimori has more singular goals in mind when it comes to wrestling.
02:02It was a deep, deep run in this year's World Tag League tournament.
02:12A block where Driller Maloney and Shingo Takagi would lose out on the final league match to Bishima.
02:18No shame in losing to the most experienced team in the game.
02:21IWGP Goldwyn.
02:22IWGP Goldwyn.
02:23IWGP Goldwyn.
02:24IWGP Goldwyn.
02:25IWGP Goldwyn.
02:26IWGP Goldwyn.
02:27IWGP Goldwyn.
02:28IWGP Goldwyn.
02:38Annual Bodybuilding Contest New Japan Concurso.
02:49During this year tariffs, Driller Maloney won the contest.
02:52Won't be participating this year just to give everybody else a chance, says Driller.
02:56Joe Maloney, an incredible physique on this man.
03:00And I got to tell you, the way that that physique has ever so slightly altered from junior heavyweight to heavyweight,
03:06Maloney has made an incredible transition in 2025.
03:26And somebody else made a big transition this year, Walker.
03:36Here's the IWGP junior heavyweight and junior heavyweight tag team champion, Doki.
03:47Well, it is far from the only transition that has taken place in House of Torture.
03:52Chase Owens in this year of 2025 has jumped ship, a longtime member of the Bullet Club, a short-term member of the War Dogs.
04:00And the weakest link, according to David Finley, dropped right into the midst of House of Torture alongside Don Folley.
04:07And on the same day, Doki would make his return back to the Midian to capture those junior tag team championships.
04:13Well, I mean, yeah, it all came out of that day.
04:16That's the reason why House of Torture is so big.
04:18I don't think they're able to field three, count them, trios teams here tonight just by themselves.
04:32Doing their business already in, well, removing the junior heavyweight champion from Wrestle Kingdom.
04:41Their business in potentially removing the never-openweight six-man championships from Wrestle Kingdom.
04:46IWGP junior heavyweight champion,並びに IWGP junior tag champion, Hapones Delman, Doki!
04:58And a lot of that Walker may well be in service so that the entire clown car can be out in order to make sure
05:09that one Olympic judo gold medalist Aaron Wolfe is removed from professional wrestling
05:15just as soon as he enters it, January the 4th, in the Tokyo Dome.
05:18Yeah, that's going to be Aaron Wolfe's professional wrestling debut gold medal Olympic athlete.
05:24That is the Judica star, Aaron Wolfe.
05:27But before we get to January 4th, before we get to the Tokyo Dome, we'll see the never-six-man tag team titles on the line in our semi-made event.
05:34We'll see your World Tag League final for 2025 on the evening, something that Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi
05:40were a long shot away from achieving a two-point record.
05:47And it is Owens and Yujiro, I mean, their place here in New Japan pro wrestling in the modern day heading into 2026.
05:53These are two men who are certainly going to want to stick together, stick on the same side, if you will.
06:00And really gun for something more so in the year of 2026.
06:05That's the thing.
06:08All of these guys, Chase and Yujiro, career glue guys.
06:14In terms of knowing who to be with, who to combine with.
06:18And our best to keep food on the table.
06:24And they don't really care who's paying for that food.
06:27Oh, and Ishimori.
06:28Ishimori saw it before it even happened.
06:31Ishimori has known Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi for so, so long.
06:35And he's known Doki for so long as well.
06:37I think that's the key here.
06:39You know what I mean?
06:40Doki, you know, being a, you know, chickening out, let's face it,
06:44squirming his way out of this championship match at Wrestle Kingdom.
06:47It has to be, you know, sticking in the craw of Ishimori most of all.
06:51You remember when the first time Doki won that Junior Heavyweight Championship,
06:54he had a list of all those guys that he'd never beaten before.
06:57And he went through them one by one.
06:59And Taiji Ishimori was the first of those people.
07:01Yep.
07:01Remember, it was back in Sendai on that destruction series.
07:04And, well, certainly for Doki to be able to step into the ring with Taiji Ishimori in 2025,
07:11not exactly something that he could look forward to nearly as much.
07:15Oh, as now Yujiro a shot to the back of Ishimori.
07:18And Taiji taken right to the outside.
07:20Doki's going to follow suit.
07:22And House of Torture to run rough shot on this match.
07:24This could be, this very well may be a preview
07:27to what we could end up seeing for the Junior Heavyweight Championship.
07:31Ishimori a part of this number one contender's four-way matchup?
07:34The winner will be getting a shot at Doki.
07:36That's written into the books.
07:38Yeah, well, I mean, yeah.
07:40I bet you could well see Doki try and find some way of warming himself out of even that.
07:46I don't know.
07:52Now we are brawling throughout a jam-packed Grand Messe Kumamoto tonight.
07:58Chase Owens has taken Shingo Takagi out into the stands.
08:00Meanwhile, it is Joe Maloney put through the ringer.
08:04Taiji Ishimori on the downside as well.
08:06And Doki, well, more than happy to take a count-out victory here.
08:11Always to the cheap road for Doki and the rest of the house, Chris.
08:14I mean, he took the hardest road for the best part of the year.
08:17And then, I mean, I know there's certainly a lot of ill-well when it comes to what I went down
08:24with just five guys, then joining in with Hontai, joining in, teaming with men like
08:28El Descorado, who Doki still blames for his injury.
08:31I understand the ill-feeling, but at the same time, the insecurity that's come along with
08:37it with Doki is a real surprise to me.
08:44And we'd say that insecurity in his actions, by the way, not in his words.
08:48You listen to him talk.
08:49And he'll say quite the opposite.
08:55As Yudro right into the eyes of Taiji Ishimori.
08:58Ishimori, by the way, in 2025 has definitely been putting in the work of multiple
09:02human Ishimori events that we've seen.
09:06Ishimori has been in nearly as many matches as Roshi Tanahashi has.
09:10You know how much Tanahashi has been putting in 2025.
09:12So, cover here, and a kick out in two.
09:16Yudro Takahashi trying to do all he can to put down his junior heavyweight opposition.
09:22To be fair, that match count has, probably most of it, has come from two nights, those two.
09:26Well, Ishimori gets ridiculous nights.
09:30As Tag in the corner, here comes Doki again.
09:35It's the first time seeing Doki since the junior heavyweight tag team championships were
09:40successfully defended.
09:41Back on the road to King of Pro Wrestling.
09:43Cover here, Doki at two.
09:46And say what you will, and put them in source of a lot of criticism, and I know many people
09:50do with Doki and Shou, but as I've said it on the official NJPW English podcast, I think
09:55Doki and Shou are a hell of a tag team.
09:58Albeit, hardly most of their games are ill-gold, but it's all been games.
10:04Doki and Shou undefeated as a duo.
10:07Well, I guess I can't believe I whiffed past this.
10:10Then Super Junior Tag League winners for the year of 2025 Doki and Shou.
10:14That was the last time we saw these men.
10:16So, I mean, they've been inside for attacking strikes, but, I mean, Doki and Shou are able
10:20to call their shots when it comes to the junior tag team championships.
10:23And that shot sadly coming over Robby X and his tag team partner, the man laying opposite
10:29of Doki right now, and Ishimori.
10:30It's actually right.
10:30Ishimori now needs to make the tag.
10:33Here comes Chase Owens.
10:34Here comes Jerome Maloney.
10:36Bullet Club Future versus Bullet Club Pass.
10:38Well, I'm going to say Bullet Club Pass versus Wardog's present.
10:54Well, here we go.
10:55Yeah, Maloney, Maloney, one of that Drillakilla early on and in here.
10:59And Maloney, you know when that Drillakilla lands out, Chris, there is no getting up after
11:04the three count.
11:06It is the most lethal move in professional wrestling today.
11:10And there's a lot more lethality for Drillakilla Maloney on the move here.
11:14Oh, wrecking ball dropkick from Maloney.
11:17And keeps it rolling here to the outside on Chase Owens.
11:22The War Dragons have been an absolute treat, a shot of adrenaline into the tag team division
11:28here in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
11:31No doubt about it.
11:32I mean, it would be a crying shame if World Tag League is the last we see of them.
11:37And I don't think it is because I mean, it's Shingo and Drillakilla's caliber, nobody
11:43when they smell it.
11:46As a cover here for Maloney on Owens.
11:48And still not enough to put down the Lone Star Outlaw.
11:52And Shingo and Maloney have gotten on well enough, especially compared to the other War Dog
12:09unaffiliated duos that we saw in this year's World Tag League.
12:12Maloney and Takagi bound by power, bound by the fight.
12:20And it's certainly bound to find victory here if this keeps up.
12:23Bound by common love for elbow drops.
12:28What's first the Yukon, oh, and the go to elbow at the same time.
12:32There's a cover here for Drill.
12:34Uh, no.
12:35No!
12:46No!
12:46No!
12:46No!
12:47No!
12:47No!
12:48No!
12:48No!
12:49No!
12:49No!
12:50No!
12:50No!
12:51Taiji Ishimori, certainly a man who can tell time.
12:55Droll Maloney and Shingo Takagi the same.
12:57He knows how to jump on a bandwagon, that's what Ishimori does.
12:59Well.
13:00He got right back out of there as soon as that time was over.
13:02Shhh.
13:03Shhh.
13:04Shhh.
13:05Shhh.
13:06Shhh.
13:07Shhh.
13:08Shhh.
13:09Shhh.
13:10Oh, now.
13:10There it is.
13:11War Dragon inbound, no.
13:13Oh, it's trying to take out Takagi, take out Maloney.
13:20Maloney with a superkick there on the jaw, and Yudro back inside.
13:24Drops down on the reverse DDT.
13:27Wow.
13:29He's Shmoye out of nowhere.
13:34And that's left chase in the path as Shingo Takagi Walker.
13:50Oh, chase Owens, high noon, high noon lariat, could it be still not enough to put down Takagi
14:02here.
14:03And chase Owens running full steam on now.
14:06Look out, look out, the knee.
14:08Seat trigger.
14:09Shingo in trouble here, Walker.
14:11Oh, could it be the test of it?
14:12Inbound.
14:13Oh, to put it away, it'll be the final time.
14:16No.
14:17Owens with the back elbow.
14:18Oh, come on.
14:19Oh, come on.
14:20Oh, come on.
14:21Oh, come on.
14:22Oh, come on.
14:23Oh, come on.
14:24Oh, come on.
14:25Oh.
14:26Oh.
14:27Oh.
14:28Oh.
14:29Oh.
14:30Oh.
14:31Oh.
14:32Oh.
14:33Oh.
14:34Oh.
14:35Oh, oh.
14:36Oh.
14:37Oh, oh.
14:38Oh, oh.
14:39Oh.
14:40Oh, oh, oh.
14:41Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
14:42Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
14:43And that means.
14:44Inbound.
14:45Here we go.
14:46War Dragon.
14:47Takagi for the win.
14:48It is over.
14:49War Dragon Takagi for the win. It is over
15:03That War Dragon maneuver has been so devastating and took Takagi and Meloni all the way to the very bitter end of league
15:11Competition better luck next year in World Tag League 2026. That's what I have to say about Shingo, Takagi and Troll Meloni
15:18I think they could well be entering next year's tournament as the IWGP Tag Team Champions
15:26One thing we've noticed over World Tag League is just how much excitement and potential there is for the tag team division
15:34Going into the new year
15:38The question is who will be going into the new year as the very pinnacle the very top of that division
15:44Ishimori exchanging words with Doki. I want to hear what Doki has to say in the backstage comments here tonight Walker
15:52So you hear him try and justify his actions at least
15:58Well the words of actions the words and actions of Doki have not exactly been matching in the year of 2025
16:05Takagi Maloney and Ishimori victorious here tonight
16:10Oh
16:11Oh
16:12Oh
16:13Oh
16:14Oh
16:15Oh
16:16Oh
16:17Oh
16:18Oh
16:19Oh
16:20Oh
16:21Oh
16:22Oh
16:23Oh
16:24Oh
16:25You know
16:26Oh
16:27Oh
16:32Now
16:34Well wrestling fans victory here for the War Dog an unaffiliated trio
16:37We're going to move right on at end to our next batch of the evening
