00:00Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas...
00:05The Finding Mr. Christmas Marching Band.
00:07Six holiday hunks were still in the running
00:09for a leading role in a Hallmark movie.
00:11Merry Christmas!
00:13In the festive face-off, the guys became human ornaments
00:16rolling through the Christmas trees.
00:19Then, in the star quality challenge...
00:21We're having a snow show!
00:22Snow show!
00:23The guys teamed up to bring their own sparkle
00:25to a Christmas block party.
00:27What's up with the Blaze? Are you and your eggs running for office?
00:29Who brings eggs to a Christmas party?
00:32They're a classic. What did you bring?
00:34Brownies. Like a normal person.
00:36One team found the joy.
00:38We are nice.
00:40The other fell short.
00:42Those were awful.
00:43I think I'm gonna need another one of these.
00:45Craig rose to the occasion.
00:47Robbie, you're going home for the holidays.
00:50But Robbie's story came to a close.
00:52Now, just five leading men remain
00:55as we continue the search to find Mr. Christmas.
00:59All right, so we're down to the final five.
01:09Everybody's growing, working hard.
01:11Like-minded people who are all out to see the best in each other
01:14and accomplish something together, it's great, man.
01:16I'm so happy that there are other people out there like me
01:19who can be vulnerable, who can be supportive,
01:22who do get excited about life,
01:24and who still want to make cool art.
01:27How are you feeling, man?
01:28I mean, to make it this far hasn't been easy.
01:31I'm not gonna lie.
01:32Playing soccer all my life.
01:34I was always in the bench and worked so hard
01:38to make it to the starting lineup.
01:40And I feel like I've implemented that into my acting and career.
01:45Yeah.
01:46Like, I started with no English.
01:47I started with no acting abilities.
01:49No experience.
01:50And the work, the sweat, and the passion into it.
01:53And-
01:54Yeah.
01:55Seeing you guys shine every day,
01:56it just makes me work even harder and harder.
01:59We're the Fab Five.
02:00We made it here.
02:01It's an accomplishment.
02:02Yeah, yeah.
02:03Let's go.
02:04Top five on the planet.
02:05Como se dice final five en espanol?
02:08Los Cinco finalistas.
02:10Los Cinco finalistas.
02:12Oh, it's time to go.
02:16It's time to go.
02:17Bring the donuts.
02:18I'm gonna eat some of us later.
02:20Why do I have to be in charge of the donuts?
02:22Hey!
02:25How'd you get into our house?
02:27Oh, hey!
02:28We're down to five golden hunks.
02:31While you all deserve to be here,
02:33only one of you will be crowned Mr. Christmas
02:35and walk out of here with a starring role
02:37in a Hallmark holiday movie.
02:39It's time to show us your strong, silent hunk side.
02:43This is Silent Night.
02:46Picture this.
02:48It's Christmas Eve and Santa can't make it
02:51to the house to deliver the presents.
02:54He asks you to step in and get the job done.
02:57And you have to do it without waking up the kids.
03:00Sounds easy, right?
03:01What you don't know is that delivering presents
03:04can be a dangerous game.
03:07Kids are always trying to catch Santa in the act
03:09by setting booby traps just to catch a glimpse
03:12of the big guy.
03:13Basically, we've created an obstacle course
03:16with noisy booby traps.
03:18You must make a path through all the obstacles
03:20to get your bag of presents under the tree.
03:22Every time you make a sound, you get a point.
03:25In the end, the person with the least amount of points
03:28will win.
03:29Okay.
03:30Cool.
03:31I have a lot of questions,
03:32but I know that a lot of them probably won't get answered
03:34until I'm able to be in the room.
03:36Win, and you'll get an advantage in the star quality challenge,
03:39which you will want.
03:41Yes, I definitely want that.
03:42Oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
03:43Those are heating up.
03:44Okay.
03:45Angel, come find me up in the workshop.
03:47I'll see you guys in a bit.
03:48All right.
03:49Shh.
03:52It's time to be quiet.
03:53The challenge has started.
04:08Boom!
04:10All this noise.
04:13Really?
04:16Everywhere I look, there's a booby trap.
04:31I have to be careful, gentle, and quiet
04:37while carrying this sack of gifts.
04:43I'm looking at everything and being present.
04:48Taking pictures with my brain.
04:51Yeah.
04:53I don't know what that smells like.
04:54I'm feeling that's in my brain.
04:55He's been feeling that I don't know.
04:56I'm feeling that I don't know too much.
05:15I'm feeling that I feel relaxed.
05:17And I'll try myself.
05:19Toning is muted.
05:20Nice. Good job. You actually, that goes to Torses.
05:24That counts.
05:25I hope the guys don't do as well as I did.
05:28So much fun. It took me back to my childhood.
05:30My sister and I were, like, six and nine.
05:33My parents always would hide their Christmas gifts in the closet,
05:37and my sister and I would be like, let's sneak in.
05:39Oh, we had to go through, like, little obstacles and little whisper.
05:43My mom wouldn't put them out until, like, right before I woke up,
05:47so I couldn't sneak and see them.
05:49Yeah, otherwise, I would have snuck.
05:51I'm really looking forward to this one.
05:53I think I'm gonna do all right.
05:55My wife would describe me as a bull in a china shop,
05:57so this isn't exactly the perfect challenge for me.
06:00Is that Spider-Man?
06:01Spider Davey.
06:02Don't make a sound.
06:04Oh.
06:14All right.
06:16Oh, man, this is not the start I wanted.
06:19Hmm.
06:20This is absolutely impossible.
06:25I don't know how I'm gonna make it through this.
06:26Oh.
06:27Oh.
06:28Oh.
06:29Oh.
06:30Oh.
06:31Oh.
06:32Oh.
06:33Oh.
06:34Oh.
06:35Oh.
06:36Oh.
06:37Oh.
06:38Oh.
06:39Oh.
06:40Oh.
06:41Oh.
06:42I don't know how I'm gonna make it through this
07:00Maybe this one isn't for me
07:04That bull in the china shop thing I think that feels very true in this moment
07:12I
07:14Looking back. I don't think any amount of cartwheels could have prepared me for this one. Yeah, be quick
07:19But don't hurry, you know, I'm really excited about it. I remember as a kid like
07:25Doing exactly this wanting to sneak downstairs and see if I could catch Santa is it time to make my inner child proud
07:38Great
07:42My strategy is to move as fast as I can
07:47I
08:17It was a sneakily fun challenge. Have fun with the booby traps. I will
08:32I'm up next my biggest concern is that my pants are a little tight, but I'm actually pretty light on my feet
08:40Like a cat
08:45Silent night. You have to be as quiet as you possibly can
08:49Oh, okay, I was gonna whisper it
08:51I'm gonna do the best I can but I mean
09:03What in the world?
09:05Whoever set this up like good job
09:07I swear who I can't believe it is
09:10And I can't believe it is
09:10Y'know maybe you can
09:11I did need to eat my dog
09:11And maybe i can leave
09:13at least i can't believe it was all right
09:13oh my god
09:14Oh my god
09:15Oh my god
09:15I can't believe it were all right
09:16Oh my god
09:16Oh my god
09:16Oh my god
09:17So let's go
09:17Oh my god
09:18You thought I can't believe it is
09:20Oh my god
09:20Oh my god
09:20Oh my god
09:21No way
09:22No way
09:24No way am I going under there.
09:33Tight pants, tight pants, tight pants.
09:51Oh gosh, oh the tree's right there.
09:55I'm at the tree.
09:57I'm done.
09:58Get me out of this room.
09:59I'm the worst quiet Santa that ever existed.
10:08Craig's been up there for a while.
10:09I wonder how like much longer.
10:10Hey!
10:11Oh, what's up dude?
10:13How'd it go?
10:14That was ridiculous.
10:17How do you feel like it went?
10:19Not great.
10:21Okay, I'm fairly flexible,
10:23although I don't stretch nearly as much as I should.
10:32As long as none of the bells or whistles or anything are going off, I'm okay.
10:43This challenge is extremely hard because I have the bag and I'm trying to maneuver it
10:58through all these things.
11:01So I'm just trying to take my time
11:04to make sure that I'm not hitting anything in my path.
11:07I can see the tree.
11:18It's right there.
11:19I just got to go a little bit further.
11:23Just a few more steps and I can put these presents under the tree.
11:27But I mean, I'm looking at all the obstacles that are between me and the tree,
11:31and I'm thinking I could try to go down there or I can jump.
11:42Jump from the table does make a little bit of a boof.
11:45I don't know.
11:46I don't know what's going to happen.
11:47Hey guys.
11:48You obviously all did a great job, but one of you had the most silentists of nightists.
11:54The winner of this festive face-off is...
12:04Marcus, congrats!
12:05Oh!
12:07What?
12:09I did not think I won that.
12:12What?
12:13I was really scared about that jump at the end, and I guess it paid off.
12:16Big risk, big reward.
12:17Exactly.
12:18Congratulations, Marcus.
12:20Now, go get your footing for your next star quality challenge.
12:24All right.
12:25See you soon.
12:25Great.
12:26All right.
12:27Coming up.
12:27Oh, wow.
12:28It's going to be a blast.
12:30I'm a sugar cookie.
12:32Practically impossible not to love.
12:34Do you know anybody that sounds like that?
12:37But we still live together?
12:39Well, that's awkward.
12:44I think the nice milk gave your piece.
12:46Because you can just do the most things.
12:47Okay, okay.
12:47It's like being an actor.
12:48You got to be versatile, right?
12:49Right, right, right.
12:50You can also jump over pieces.
12:51He's the only piece that could do that.
12:53You know how to play?
12:54Yeah.
12:54Oh, okay.
12:55Yeah, I love chess.
12:56My wife kicks my butt, but I do love chess.
12:59I definitely want to teach my son to play someday.
13:03We're going to learn right now.
13:04I could keep beating him over the years until he gets good enough to handle pops.
13:10This is like the longest I've been without him, you know?
13:12How old is he?
13:13Letting my wife handle the kid full-time.
13:15He's, gosh, he's eight weeks now, so he's just two months.
13:17Eight weeks?
13:18Okay.
13:18Yeah, still fresh, man.
13:19It's, uh...
13:20Is it getting easier?
13:22Um, it definitely gets easier as you go.
13:25You kind of figure out what works, what doesn't work.
13:27Every day is super bittersweet in the house because I'm getting one day closer to becoming Mr. Christmas,
13:32but it's also another day that I haven't been home with my wife and with my son.
13:36That's a huge responsibility.
13:37How do you feel like you're gonna parent your son?
13:40Like, knowing what I struggled with growing up, I don't want to impress that upon him in any way.
13:46Giving him the freedom to make his own decisions and also encouraging him that mistakes are okay.
13:53In fact, make them because you're gonna do so much better.
13:57You're gonna get so much further when you allow yourself to do that, you know?
14:00That's great, man.
14:00I'm sure you're gonna assure you you're gonna do awesome.
14:04Oh yeah, you definitely are.
14:06Oh, thanks.
14:06I can already tell.
14:07You can never go wrong just doing your best.
14:09I have had an incredible time with all of the star quality challenges so far.
14:17I feel pretty confident that I'm gonna be able to do the work, connect with the character,
14:22connect with my co-star, so I'm sure that this is going to be epic.
14:28Hey guys, nice to see you here at the Kringle Creek.
14:32Nice.
14:32Ooh, Kringle Creek.
14:34Lovely.
14:34One of the most romantic spots for a picnic date.
14:39Picnic.
14:40In this star quality challenge, we want to see you in a classic hallmark scene.
14:45A leading man having a romantic date with his leading lady.
14:49But there's a twist.
14:50This scene picks up in the middle of the date and in the middle of the relationship.
14:56We're at about page 65 in the script where they know each other, they're already together.
15:02So before you start the scene, you have to make sure you create some chemistry with your co-star.
15:07There's a history with this person. You've already had time together.
15:11So for this one, you don't have to stick to the script. Use it as a guide.
15:15Some of you may end up improvising and saying different lines.
15:19It is about that connection. Receive what she's given you and give it right back to her.
15:23You're the mirror of what she's given you.
15:25Okay, okay.
15:26And we have the perfect co-star for you guys.
15:29We do.
15:30This hallmark star is an actress, director and writer who's been seen in movies like Jingle Bell Run.
15:36She hosts the unscripted series Small Town Setup and runs Make Her Mark, the hallmark women's directing program.
15:43Wow.
15:43It's the outstanding Ashley Williams.
15:46All right, Ashley.
15:47Oh, wow.
15:49So great to be here. Thank you so much for having me.
15:51I want to see you.
15:52Welcome, Ashley. These are the boys. Boys, Ashley.
15:55Hi, everybody.
15:56We're going to be acting with the Ashley Williams in this one, a hallmark superstar.
16:00This is going to be a great opportunity that I'm not going to take for granted.
16:04I think you guys are, at this point, pretty seasoned on the beginning parts of the relationship
16:09that develop over the course of the hallmark movies, but this is sort of like a get-to-know-you time.
16:13So I would focus more than anything else on that, just being authentic to sort of having the
16:19relationship evolve right in front of your eyes. And we'll find it together. I'm right here with you.
16:24I've got you. So it's going to be a blast.
16:27Marcus, since you won the festive face-off, you are going to be picking the order in which everyone performs.
16:32Yes. Okay. That's good. That's good. I like it.
16:34Okay. So Angel is up first.
16:37Okay.
16:37I'm going to go second.
16:38I want to go second because the longer you have to wait to go,
16:42you can get really nervous and get in your head.
16:44Craig is third. Davey is fourth. And Rustin, you are fifth.
16:50All right, boys. Here are your scripts.
16:52You'll be judged on the chemistry and the connection you create with Ashley.
16:56And that will start the moment you meet her.
17:03Date scene with Ashley Williams.
17:05It's two people just kind of getting to know each other. They're starting to realize,
17:09okay, I think I like this person. And I've been there before. I can relate.
17:13Which is better, giving Christmas gifts or receiving them?
17:17I don't have any experience doing romantic scenes like this, but I know working with a pro like
17:30Ashley will make my life a lot easier.
17:32I almost feel like I wish I wouldn't went first because I do feel like good and fresh right now.
17:36You can't go back.
17:37But second, second, I know.
17:38I'll trade you.
17:39But second is just as good because I hate waiting.
17:41Go take your backsies.
17:45Go take your backsies.
17:46Hello, Angel.
17:47Hi.
17:48I'm excited to watch you shine.
17:49This scene is about connecting with your co-stars. So prior to starting the scene,
17:55I want to connect with her.
17:56Hey, Ashley. Oh, my God. It's such a pleasure to work with you.
18:00You too. Come and take a seat.
18:02Apparently, this food is all stuff that we can actually eat, should we want to.
18:06Cool.
18:07Yeah.
18:08Can I ask you for a favor?
18:11We can do anything you want. Yeah.
18:12Um, tell me, what's the name of your mom?
18:15My mom?
18:16Yeah.
18:17Her name was Linda. She passed away, but yeah.
18:19I'm so sorry.
18:20It's okay.
18:21My dad passed away too.
18:22Oh, did he? What was his name?
18:23Emilio.
18:24Emilio.
18:26See, this isn't even part of the scene.
18:28I just love that he loves to connect with everybody.
18:30He's been doing that with everyone on set. What a great choice.
18:33He's locked in on her eyes.
18:35All right. That was two in a row.
18:37Okay.
18:38So it is my turn.
18:40Okay.
18:42Okay. Now we start on the script.
18:44I'm an open book, so shoot.
18:47Okay. What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
18:50Now, wrong answers.
18:52Wait a second.
18:53You could have asked me anything in the entire world and you went with cookies?
18:57I thought we were supposed to be getting deep here.
18:59Don't be fooled.
19:00Your favorite cookie says more than you think.
19:03All right.
19:04It's molasses.
19:06Interesting.
19:07Oh, no. What?
19:08Molasses is a little bit spicy.
19:14And while its edges may be crispy, at its center, it's a total soft.
19:22That's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked good.
19:27Um.
19:28Now that is some chemistry right there.
19:31Angel, forget about it.
19:33If you're so smart, what cookie are you?
19:35Ah, that's easy.
19:37I'm a sugar cookie.
19:39Practically impossible not to love.
19:42Wow.
19:43Okay.
19:47It's my turn for a question.
19:48I get the last one.
19:49Shoot.
19:50Is it better to give Christmas gifts or to receive them?
19:54To give them.
19:55Yeah.
19:56There's nothing better than giving someone a gift because you know that they're going to love it.
20:01Agreed.
20:01Duh.
20:02Agreed.
20:03All right.
20:03Well, I know that you're about to go home for Christmas.
20:06Oh my gosh.
20:06I'm going to miss you.
20:07I'm going to miss you too.
20:08Tell us that you're going to think of me.
20:11I will.
20:11I will too.
20:13Cut!
20:13Angel!
20:15Angel has so much raw emotion vibrating just underneath the surface that's just able to be tapped into
20:21at a moment's notice.
20:22Yes.
20:22And he did it right then.
20:23He's very in touch with it.
20:24He didn't even hesitate.
20:25Angel, that was impressive.
20:26Oh my gosh.
20:27You got straight up emotional.
20:29Oh, I thought.
20:30You were doing the chin quiver.
20:31Wow.
20:32That was so impressive.
20:34Thank you, Ashley.
20:35I am so honored.
20:36That was incredible.
20:37I'm super impressed with you.
20:39I think he was very intentional of how he physicalized it.
20:41Like, first the hand, then he went there.
20:43I mean, give me an orange.
20:45I mean, I need to, I feel like we need to open this up.
20:47We need to open that up.
20:48That was so hot and steamy.
20:49I need some punch.
20:50Coming up.
20:51Les, this is a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet.
20:56There's me.
20:56There, oh my gosh.
20:57Where is it?
20:58One of you will be going home tonight.
21:04All right.
21:04Hi, Marcus.
21:05Hello, hello.
21:06Get over here.
21:07Ashley.
21:07We're good.
21:08Yes, yes, yes.
21:08Welcome, welcome, welcome.
21:09All right, we got this.
21:10Feeling good.
21:10Woo, shake it out, shake it out.
21:11I'm right here.
21:12Yeah, yeah.
21:12Everybody's going to flirt a little bit differently.
21:14When I reach for your hand, feel free just to give me one hand.
21:17Just one.
21:17Just one, yeah.
21:18Who needs two?
21:19Yeah.
21:20Marcus.
21:21Oh, that child.
21:22Cute, cute, cute.
21:23I need a little drink.
21:24What is this, some lemonade?
21:26Yeah, it's apparently lemonade with some crayon.
21:28For you.
21:29Whether it's, you know, the eye contact,
21:31whether it's a little bit of touching,
21:33whether it's just making the other person laugh.
21:35You just winked at me and I liked it.
21:38Everybody's going to connect in a different way,
21:40so I wanted to bring some of the ways I like to connect with people to the scene.
21:44So we start like midway, halfway through it.
21:46So yeah, finish me off with something, anything, anything you're feeling.
21:50Like I just answered a question for you.
21:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
21:52Yeah.
21:54And that is how we found my cat.
21:57Well, you've asked me two questions in a row now.
22:00Okay.
22:00So now it's my turn.
22:02I'm an open book.
22:03Okay.
22:03Shoot.
22:04So what is your favorite Christmas cookie?
22:05No wrong answers.
22:07Take your time, think about it.
22:09Wait a second.
22:10You could have asked me anything in the entire world and you went with cookies.
22:14I thought we were supposed to be getting deep.
22:16Don't be fooled, okay?
22:17Your favorite Christmas cookie paints a much bigger picture
22:21about who you are and you may think.
22:23Wow.
22:24Mm-hmm.
22:25All right.
22:25Mm-hmm.
22:26Well, it's molasses.
22:28So what's your analysis?
22:30Molasses is a no frills kind of cookie.
22:34It doesn't need special icing or sprinkles to stand out.
22:38It's perfect just the way it is.
22:40And molasses is a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet.
22:47It may be a little crispy around the edges, but at its center, it's a total softy.
22:54Oh, do you know anybody that sounds like that?
22:58I don't know if I do.
23:00Does anybody around here that may sound like that?
23:01Yeah, that is my entire personality summarized in a holiday baked good.
23:07Just a little bit.
23:08Oh, yeah.
23:09No, pretty much tail in the head.
23:11All right.
23:11If you're so smart, if you were to be a cookie, what cookie would you be?
23:15Oh, that's an easy one.
23:16Really?
23:16I'm a sugar cookie.
23:18Practically impossible not to love.
23:23Is it better to give gifts or to receive them?
23:28That's a good one.
23:29Is it?
23:30You know, I don't think there's anything better than giving someone a gift that you know they're
23:36going to love.
23:37I agree.
23:39So I know we're going to spend Christmas apart because you and your family have very special
23:44traditions.
23:45Yeah.
23:46But I may have called them and they are okay to come out and spend a Christmas in my hometown.
23:54If you are okay with that.
23:57My family's going to come for Christmas?
23:58Yeah.
23:59You guys are going to all come and spend it with me and my family.
24:01We haven't gotten to spend Christmas together since my dad passed away.
24:04I know.
24:06And cut!
24:12Wow, Marcus!
24:14You just like clicked in and started going.
24:16You made it so easy.
24:17The eye contact, the going back and forth.
24:20Oh, yeah.
24:20So amazing.
24:21You got this, girl.
24:22It's time.
24:22Oh, you're up, dude.
24:23Okay, man.
24:24Bring it.
24:24I've got it.
24:25You got it, man.
24:26All right, fellas.
24:27Ashley Williams, Hallmark icon, is ready to have the best scene you've ever had in your life.
24:31Hello, Hallmark icon.
24:32I know that this is a good opportunity for me to express more emotions.
24:38And I'm going to do that with Ashley.
24:40What I had in mind at the very tippy top, you're wanting to get deep.
24:43It says in the script.
24:45Yeah.
24:45So I can come from a real place.
24:46Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:47Maybe just what happened with your ex.
24:48Ooh, okay.
24:50That's okay to talk about on a date.
24:51Heck yeah.
24:52You know?
24:52So you want to know.
24:53You want to get to know me.
24:54So you ask me that.
24:55I'll give you my answer.
24:56We roll.
24:58Ooh.
24:58We've asked him to go there.
24:59Well, it sounds like that was really hard.
25:02I got you.
25:03I got you.
25:03Oh, thank you.
25:04Thank you so much.
25:05Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:06So what happened there?
25:07Do you mind telling me about it?
25:09Yeah, yeah, it's no problem.
25:10I mean, I'm fine now, but we broke up.
25:13Yeah.
25:13But we still live together.
25:15Yeah.
25:16Oh, that's awkward.
25:17It was tough.
25:18So we just kind of tried to pretend that everything was the same, and obviously it wasn't.
25:24Right.
25:25And you know, we just kind of had to pull the plug at some point, but I mean, silver linings,
25:31you know, I wouldn't be here with you.
25:34That's the silver lining.
25:35I'm happy to be here.
25:35Yeah, of course.
25:36Yeah.
25:37Wow.
25:38Thank you for telling me that.
25:39I know that's not easy to talk about.
25:40It's okay.
25:41Mm-hmm.
25:42All right.
25:43You asked me two in a row.
25:44It's my turn.
25:45Okay.
25:45You ready?
25:46Yeah, I'm an open book, so shoot.
25:49Let's see.
25:50What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
25:56No wrong answers.
25:58You could have literally asked me anything in the world,
26:00and you went with cookies.
26:01I thought we were supposed to be getting deep here.
26:03I was throwing you some hard balls.
26:05Hey, I mean, don't be fooled.
26:06You could learn a lot about someone by their favorite Christmas cookie.
26:08Okay.
26:10All right.
26:12Well, it's molasses.
26:14Molasses?
26:14Yeah.
26:15Yeah.
26:16What's your analysis?
26:18Um, hmm.
26:20I mean, it's a little sweet.
26:21Yeah.
26:22It's a little spicy.
26:23No.
26:24You know, it's a little crispy.
26:25Yeah.
26:26But the inside, total softy.
26:29Kind of sounds familiar, right?
26:30Yeah.
26:31It's true.
26:32Bingo.
26:34All right.
26:36So, if you're so smart, what would your holiday cookie be?
26:40Me?
26:41If you were one.
26:41Yeah.
26:42That's easy.
26:42I'm a sugar cookie all day.
26:45You want to know why?
26:45Yeah.
26:47I'm impossible not to love.
26:48I love you.
26:52Uh-huh.
26:53Yeah.
26:54No, it's, that's true.
26:57Okay.
26:58I get the last question.
26:59Okay.
27:01Is it better to give gifts or receive them?
27:03There's no better feeling than just giving someone a gift that you know they're gonna love,
27:09you know?
27:10I totally agree.
27:11Yeah.
27:11Well, since we're not gonna spend Christmas together, um, we have a little thing.
27:18There's me.
27:19There, oh my gosh, where is it?
27:20Are you okay?
27:21It's gone now.
27:21Are you okay?
27:22Yeah, of course I'm okay.
27:23I didn't even see it.
27:25Was it on your head?
27:26No, it just like came up and said hi and...
27:28The old bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz.
27:29I feel like we're watching someone's date and it feels a little wrong.
27:33Yeah.
27:33And it whispered.
27:34It whispers something in my ear.
27:35Classic.
27:36You know what it whispered?
27:37What'd it say?
27:38It's like, go on the date.
27:39All right.
27:40Although we do like watching other people's dates.
27:42Oh, look at that.
27:42I feel like you're getting emotional.
27:44I'm not emotional.
27:44I'm just...
27:45Okay.
27:46Me neither.
27:46And scene!
27:47Cut!
27:49So fun.
27:50Great job.
27:51Thanks for protecting me from the bee.
27:53I mean, that was like such a gift we got.
27:55Honestly, the bee.
27:56I'm glad it didn't sting you because that wouldn't have been a gift, but had it...
27:58No, I think it was just a...
27:59You know, it gave us life.
28:00It just...
28:01Yeah, it did.
28:01It gave us life.
28:02Yeah.
28:02So, that was fun.
28:04But right now I'm on cloud nine.
28:05Um...
28:06All right, feel good.
28:06I guess I gotta hit it then, huh?
28:07You're done.
28:08Now you gotta go.
28:09Bye.
28:09Later, Ashley, I'll see you later on.
28:12How you feeling, man?
28:14You'll be able to go through it in here.
28:17Uh-huh.
28:17That's another thing when you're out there.
28:19Yeah.
28:20Thus far, it's been evident that Jonathan and Melissa have liked a lot of bold choices
28:25in taking risks in scenes.
28:26My plan is to do a 30-second or so monologue at the end of our scene.
28:31Welcome, Davey.
28:32How are you?
28:32Good.
28:33Nervous, but I'm good.
28:34It's the good kind of nerves.
28:35That's called excitement, my friend.
28:37Yeah.
28:38How can I help you right now?
28:39At the end, I was gonna do like a 30-second monologue-ish.
28:44Okay.
28:44Give or take.
28:45Okay.
28:45Yeah.
28:46Um, great.
28:47Great.
28:48That's a choice.
28:48I mean, the camera loves him.
28:50Coming up.
28:50I think you are the most amazing person that I've ever met.
28:54Well, you guys gotta be good.
28:56One of you will be going home tonight.
28:57The scene sort of starts halfway through, you know?
29:05So is there anything I can do to help you because we're sort of mid-scene?
29:07As a lead-in?
29:08Yeah.
29:09Um, I don't think so.
29:10I could pick it up.
29:11I'm okay just to start it.
29:13Great.
29:13All right.
29:14I'm right here.
29:14Okay.
29:15All right.
29:15Awesome.
29:16All right.
29:17You've had a chance to ask me a couple questions in a row now.
29:21I think it's my turn.
29:23Okay.
29:23Shoot.
29:24What is your favorite Christmas cookie?
29:28A Christmas cookie?
29:29Mm-hmm.
29:30Wait a second.
29:31You could have asked me anything in the whole world.
29:33You're asking me about movies and cookies.
29:34I thought we were going to get deep.
29:36That's the best way to get to know somebody.
29:39You can tell a lot about somebody based on their favorite Christmas cookie.
29:44What's he doing with his mouth?
29:46Getting grapes out of it.
29:47Yeah.
29:48Okay.
29:49Please don't eat any more grapes.
29:51It's molasses.
29:52Molasses.
29:53Yeah.
29:53What's your analysis?
29:55Actually, you know what?
29:56Hmm.
29:57I can see that.
29:58That doesn't surprise me at all.
30:00Really?
30:00Yeah.
30:02Now that you mention it.
30:04The thing is about molasses cookies, they're perfect just the way they are.
30:09You don't need any sprinkles.
30:11You don't need any frosting.
30:13They're a little bit sweet, also a little bit spicy.
30:17Mm-hmm.
30:18That's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked good.
30:22Was I...
30:23Does that sound kind of familiar?
30:24Maybe.
30:25Okay.
30:26If you're so smart, um...
30:28Don't eat any more grapes.
30:28Don't eat any more grapes.
30:29Don't eat any more grapes.
30:30What Christmas cookie would you be?
30:33Hmm.
30:34I would say probably a sugar cookie.
30:38Oh, yeah.
30:39They're simple, but everybody likes them, right?
30:43Yeah.
30:45Going home is going to be super bittersweet for me, I think.
30:49Oh, this is Davy's monologue.
30:51LA, honestly, is moving so fast.
30:54When I come back here and I'm with you, things just slow down and it,
30:58I think, just kind of reaffirms ultimately what I want in life.
31:01I want to settle down and I could use some of that molasses.
31:05Me?
31:05Yeah.
31:06Aww.
31:07That's sweet.
31:07I would prefer to cancel my flight and spend the holidays with you if...
31:15you'd like to have me.
31:16And cut!
31:17Perfect!
31:19I'm hopeful that what I did in the scene and my monologue was enough to keep me alive,
31:24but I'm feeling as uncertain as ever.
31:26Yeah, I've never seen anyone eat so many grapes in a scene.
31:28Great job.
31:30That is the boldest choice I've ever seen!
31:32That was the boldest choice.
31:33He's stunningly handsome.
31:37Like, distractingly so.
31:38Mm-hmm.
31:39We saw you going...
31:40I was like...
31:42Totally!
31:50Everyone brought it.
31:51I think I'm sure rusting and Davy are bringing it too.
31:53Oh, yeah.
31:54I have no doubt.
31:54So true.
31:56Well, you guys got to be good.
31:59All right.
32:00I made a picnic.
32:01Oh, I love it!
32:04I wanted to have two seconds with you if you wanted to do something with me.
32:07Oh, God, yes.
32:07Please.
32:07Is that okay?
32:08Yeah.
32:08I just want to hold your hands.
32:09Okay.
32:10And look into your eyes for like 10 seconds.
32:11Okay.
32:14This is such a good actor trick.
32:15I've done it with my co-stars all the time, and it works.
32:30You went to theater school like me!
32:45That's theater 101 connecting with your co-star.
32:49He did exactly what I would have done.
32:51This scene starts like halfway through.
32:53Do you want me to lead you in?
32:54Do you want to just get going?
32:56I feel like I have a prompt at the top that I thought would really lead us in.
33:00So here for it.
33:00Are you cool with that?
33:01Yes!
33:01Okay, great.
33:03Yeah, and this food, you can eat any of it.
33:04Oh, great.
33:05I've been...
33:06Don't...
33:07Well, don't play it, you know.
33:09I don't know.
33:11Wait, that's a really good question.
33:12What?
33:14Favorite Christmas tradition.
33:16Yeah.
33:16My mom always gives us one Christmas present to open on Christmas Eve.
33:21The night before.
33:22Yes, me too.
33:23And we used to always pretend we didn't know what it was, but it's matching pajamas.
33:29I love that.
33:31And is there anything better than brand new pajamas when they're super soft?
33:35Right, and you just feel so festive, you know?
33:37All right, you got to ask me two questions in a row.
33:40Now it's my turn.
33:41All right, I'm an open book.
33:42Shoot.
33:43What's your favorite Christmas cookie?
33:45No wrong answers.
33:46Wait, you literally, you could have asked me anything.
33:49What?
33:49Anything in the world and you went with cookies.
33:51Don't be fooled.
33:52Well, I thought we were going deep here.
33:54No, no, no, don't be fooled.
33:54Your favorite cookie says a lot more about you than you'd think.
33:57Really?
33:57Yeah, yeah.
33:58Okay, suddenly it feels personal.
34:00Um, all right, my favorite cookie is molasses.
34:04Molasses?
34:05Yeah, what's your analysis?
34:07What?
34:08Of course.
34:09What?
34:10Makes perfect sense.
34:10Oh no, what?
34:12Now, molasses is a no-frills cookie.
34:14You know, it doesn't need sprinkles or frosting to stand out.
34:19It's perfect just as it is.
34:20I don't know what it is.
34:21I don't know what it is.
34:22The molasses is a little spicy, a little sweet.
34:28I don't even know its edges are a little crisp, you know?
34:31At its core, it's totally softy.
34:37Wow.
34:37Sound like someone you know?
34:38Wow.
34:39It's my entire personality summed up in a holiday baked cookie.
34:42All right, well, if you're so smart, what Christmas cookie are you?
34:47Oh, that's easy.
34:48Really?
34:49Sugar cookie.
34:50How can we be impossible not to love?
34:52All right, I get the last question.
34:57Shoot.
34:58Is it better to give Christmas gifts or to receive them?
35:04There's nothing better than giving someone a gift you know they're going to love.
35:09I agree.
35:13I think you are the most amazing person that I've ever met.
35:18And cut!
35:18Cut!
35:20So much fun.
35:22I feel really good about how the scene went and I just, I hope I did enough.
35:26Too fun.
35:27Get to hang out with us more, hopefully.
35:28I hope so.
35:28We'll get to play a little more theater.
35:30It'll be awesome.
35:32And also, come on, nice spread.
35:34Right?
35:35I actually didn't do this.
35:36Thank you, thank you, thank you.
35:37Wow, you guys.
35:40We saw things from each of our guys that we have not seen in this competition.
35:44There was a lot of creativity and handsomeness to boot.
35:47Yes, there was a lot of handsomeness right there.
35:49Yeah.
35:50Let's talk about the guys who really stood out.
35:52Let's talk about Angel.
35:53I think he did a great job.
35:54I mean, he really had this moment before with you.
35:57How did that feel?
35:58There were tears in his eyes.
35:59His chin was quivering and I was like, whoa, like where is this going?
36:04And I just got to hold on for the ride, which was really fun.
36:07He understood the assignment and he delivered.
36:10Let's talk about Craig.
36:11Honestly, like he showed up, he came to play, he thought about it.
36:14He put his brain into it.
36:16He put his hand on his face and he looked in your eyes and I watched you get lost in
36:21them for a second and then two seconds later, he made me laugh.
36:24Totally.
36:25Craig did the perfect mix of heart and humor.
36:29Now let's talk about the guys who didn't fully stand out.
36:32Marcus, he started off a little, I wouldn't say in his stride.
36:36It did feel a little bit like stiff, like a little bit planned.
36:39The problem is when you're doing a scene and you're shooting a movie,
36:42we have to be correct and on our mark from the beginning of the scene.
36:45So that is a problem.
36:47And there's Davey.
36:48He had this pre-planned monologue he wanted to give.
36:50Instead of just saying, I'm just going to go with this.
36:53He stopped what was happening to go with something he was thinking about that he wanted to do.
36:56Yeah.
36:56He wanted to get honest and vulnerable and intimate, which that speech did.
37:02Let's talk about Rustin.
37:03It felt like he was creating these little moments, these little like hallmark moments,
37:09whether they be comedic or emotional.
37:12Yeah.
37:12I felt that the lines felt a little more like,
37:15I'm hitting on you other than I'm falling in love with you.
37:18Just for a second.
37:19I mean, there's no question that Rustin is a fantastic actor.
37:21Like he knows what he's doing.
37:23The question is, is he the next Mr. Christmas?
37:27We have a big decision to make because unfortunately,
37:30one of our guys has to go home tonight.
37:32I mean, I truly don't know what we're going to do.
37:35I don't either.
37:35I'm going to bring the charcuterie board.
37:37I'm going to need to eat our way through this.
37:38We have to emotionally eat.
37:39Yeah.
37:40Yeah.
37:48Going into this elimination, I am by far the most uncomfortable I've been since I've been here.
37:53I'm feeling the pressure amounting more and more and more.
37:56I feel like I'm almost about to burst.
37:59Hello, gentlemen.
38:00Welcome to another elimination in this frosty wonderland.
38:05In today's Star Quality Challenge, you performed in a classic Hallmark scene.
38:09It was such an absolute pleasure getting to just sort of explore the scene with you,
38:14have some charcuterie, and there's a lot of trust there, and I really appreciate it.
38:20You guys, it felt like you were leveling each other up in a lot of those moments,
38:23and it was really delightful to watch.
38:25It felt like you were going to be a star quality challenge, and that person gave us the perfect
38:31balance of romance, charm, comedy, and authenticity.
38:36The recipe for a Hallmark leading man.
38:39The winner of this star quality challenge and tonight's shining star is...
38:52Craig.
38:53Craig, you did something I think a Hallmark leading man is,
39:10and that is finding the time to be flirty and finding the time to be funny.
39:14Today, I saw a leading man, and I was so proud of you. It was wonderful to see.
39:20It's really kind. Thank you.
39:22But with a win comes a loss.
39:26Marcus.
39:27Davey.
39:29Will you please step down?
39:37One of you will be going home tonight.
39:39This is my first time being in the bottom, and it does not feel good.
39:43Davey, you started your scene a little nervous, and you got distracted by the props.
39:48It's important to keep your focus on your leading lady.
39:52When you don't, the connection between you and your co-star suffers.
39:56Marcus, you seemed shaky and a little inauthentic at times in the scene.
40:03This made it hard for Ashley to connect with you in the beginning.
40:07Unfortunately...
40:17Davey, it's time to take your stocking down.
40:20You're going home for the holidays.
40:21I'm sorry, man.
40:23It's all right, man.
40:24You did great.
40:26I came here with one friend, and I'm leaving with nine.
40:32It's all right, man.
40:33We're so proud of you, bro.
40:34Yeah, you do.
40:34We really are.
40:35Davey, your heart is bigger than your biceps.
40:40And those are pretty big.
40:43Congratulations, Davey, on making it this far.
40:46And we can't wait to see what you do next.
40:48Davey!
40:55For me, this opportunity boiled down to making myself proud and doing something that scares me for the sake of doing it.
41:03Even if it means taking a loss, you do learn a lot more about your losses than you do your wins.
41:08And this is one that I know that I'm definitely going to learn from.
41:13This is the time to focus and shine.
41:16We'll see you next time as the hunt for Mr. Christmas continues.
41:21We'll see you next time as the hunt for the next episode.
41:25We'll see you next time as the hunt for the next episode.
