00:00Previously on Finding Mr. Christmas...
00:10Why do I have to be in charge of the donuts?
00:12Five holiday hunks were still in the running
00:14for a leading role in a Hallmark movie.
00:17In the festive face-off,
00:19they had to sneak Santa's presents
00:21without making a peep.
00:23This is absolutely impossible.
00:26Then, in the star quality challenge...
00:32Interesting.
00:33Oh, no, what?
00:34The hunks had to create chemistry
00:35with a Hallmark superstar.
00:37I just want to hold your hands.
00:38Okay.
00:39Look into your eyes for, like, ten seconds.
00:40Okay.
00:41Some delivered the holiday magic.
00:43I'm not emotional, I'm just...
00:44Okay.
00:45Others fell flat.
00:46I could use some of that molasses.
00:50Davey, you're going home for the holidays.
00:52Now, just four leading men remain
00:55as the hunt for Mr. Christmas continues.
01:03Dude, you guys are going down.
01:05You're going down.
01:06Final last words.
01:07Final last words.
01:08Told you.
01:09Oh, my God.
01:10Oh, man.
01:11Oh.
01:12The very first one.
01:14Your last words.
01:15Oh, man.
01:17I feel like we're in a Hallmark movie.
01:19I know, right?
01:20What a coincidence.
01:21Were we already in the movie, or...?
01:23I mean, dude, we're in the top four.
01:25Yeah.
01:26It feels unbelievable.
01:29We all want that leading role in a Hallmark movie.
01:31We all deserve it.
01:32It's really splitting hairs at this point.
01:34I feel like I've learned something really special
01:36from each one of you.
01:37Like, Craig, just being able to improv in a scene, you know,
01:41and not be afraid to really go deep into a character.
01:44Angel, I feel like I've learned from you to just be
01:46the suave guy, the cool guy, you know?
01:48And then, Rustin, you're just...
01:49What do you mean?
01:50You're always so articulate,
01:51and I've learned to, like, show more of my personality
01:54because of you.
01:55Thanks, man.
01:56You know, I know my mom, when she finally sees me on the show,
02:00is just gonna probably break down in tears, just in happiness.
02:03Yeah, you're bringing her a lot of joy during the holiday season,
02:05man, and there's nothing better than that.
02:07This is kind of surreal.
02:08Just like a month, month and a half ago,
02:10my mom was diagnosed with cancer.
02:12It was a hard decision whether I should come here
02:15and do this competition,
02:17but she was very supportive of me, like, go do it.
02:20So I'm doing this for her.
02:22She's probably so stoked that you're here.
02:24She's probably so proud.
02:25So proud of you, bro.
02:28Yeah, pretty neat.
02:29Go, go, go, go, go in.
02:30Go in!
02:36This is it, man.
02:37This is the very last one.
02:38That's the bell.
02:39We gotta go.
02:40Let's go.
02:41Let's go, let's go.
02:42Come on.
02:43Come on.
02:44It's festive time.
02:45Only three of us moved to the finale,
02:46so it's so important to be one step ahead.
02:49I need to win this festive face-off.
02:52This is mine.
02:53Vamos!
02:58Hello, hello, hello.
03:00Good morning, guys.
03:01Welcome back to the workshop.
03:02Good morning.
03:04I know the last elimination was tough for everyone.
03:06It's only gonna get harder now
03:07that there are only four of you left in the competition.
03:09Because only one of you will be crowned Mr. Christmas
03:12and land a leading role in a Hallmark holiday movie.
03:15All right.
03:16All right.
03:17There's no better feeling during the holidays
03:19than to open your mailbox and find a Hallmark Christmas card
03:22from someone you love.
03:23Mm-hmm.
03:24So we want you to take some time and write a Christmas card
03:27to your biggest super fan.
03:29Your mom.
03:30Oh.
03:31All right.
03:32In this festive face-off, you'll have ten minutes
03:34to lay your heart out in a card, be authentic, honest,
03:38and really express yourself.
03:40You know, I am a boy mom.
03:41I have a son.
03:42And I think there's nothing like seeing something handwritten
03:45and to get something in the mailbox.
03:46We don't get a lot in the mailbox anymore.
03:48We get magazines and flyers and that kind of stuff and bills.
03:51So to have something handwritten from my son would mean anything.
03:55And Riley, I miss you.
03:57Call your mother.
03:58Oh.
03:59I'm excited about this challenge because my mom
04:01was the very first person to be, like, going to absolutely
04:04crush whatever you put your mind to.
04:06And so this is my opportunity to show her how much I love her.
04:11It's time to open up your heart and put some time
04:13into the person who has put so much time into you.
04:16Ready?
04:17Set?
04:18Right!
04:19All right.
04:20Um, whoo, which one are you going for?
04:24I'm thinking this one.
04:25I'm thinking this one.
04:26This one.
04:27My mom's a beacon of light for me to look up to.
04:30When I first told her I would love to be an actor,
04:32she was like, if it's something you want to do,
04:34follow your dreams.
04:35So I want to let her know how much I appreciate everything
04:38that she's done for me.
04:39I feel like my mom has sent me so many cards over the years
04:42to show me that she loves me.
04:43Any time I've gone away for a show,
04:45she's found out what my address was,
04:46and she's like, okay, cool, cool, cool.
04:48And she's like, break a leg.
04:49Yeah.
04:50Opening night and she'll just send me stuff.
04:51That's so cute.
04:52I feel like I should send her more cards.
04:54I'm writing my mom a poem showing her how it feels
04:58to be loved by her.
05:01Just peeking.
05:03Just peeking.
05:04I'm just kidding.
05:05Write like the wind.
05:06How does the wind?
05:07How does the wind write?
05:08What do you have for breakfast?
05:11You have about three or so minutes left.
05:13Are you serious?
05:14Yeah.
05:15My mom, she's a worrier.
05:17She's a strong lady.
05:19And she has shaped me into the man I am today.
05:23Are we being judged on handwriting?
05:26My mom and I have a very special relationship.
05:30Her and I are silly, goofy.
05:33That's kind of how we bond together.
05:35I can't fit everything I need to say to her in a simple card,
05:38but I'm going to do the best I can.
05:41Two minutes.
05:42I'm sweating more doing this than I was doing any of the other challenges.
05:46Good.
05:47I like to hear that.
05:48So I have an idea, but I need to borrow a little something to make it happen.
05:53I'm telling you, I am that person at a post office.
05:55I send cards all the time.
06:00He's putting on lipstick.
06:01Wait, that's mine.
06:05That's so cute.
06:07All right.
06:08Finish up.
06:09All right.
06:10Time is up.
06:11Hands down.
06:16Now it's time to introduce our guest judge.
06:18Wow.
06:20Come on in.
06:26Hi, Mom.
06:32Mommy.
06:36What the heck?
06:37Surprise!
06:38We're so glad you're here.
06:39We're glad we're here.
06:40Yeah.
06:42Oh, and by the way, guys, you'll be reading your cards to your own super fan, your mother's.
06:46Oh.
06:47Oh.
06:48Oh.
06:49Craig, you're up first.
06:50Okay.
06:51Says mommy.
06:52Oh.
06:53Oh.
06:54Does that look familiar?
06:55Oh.
06:56Does that look familiar?
06:57Yes.
06:58So my mom sends me cards and kisses the back of them.
07:01So why do you always kiss the envelope for Craig?
07:02I mean, who wouldn't?
07:03Look at him.
07:04Oh.
07:05Oh.
07:06He's just my heart.
07:07He really is.
07:08Mommy.
07:09Merry Christmas from the North Pole.
07:11It's cold here, but don't worry.
07:12Your son has won back-to-back star quality challenges.
07:13So your son is hot, hot, hot.
07:14Mom, without you, I'd be lost.
07:16The only reason I'm this far along in the competition is because of you.
07:18Oh.
07:19Oh.
07:20Oh.
07:21Oh.
07:22Oh.
07:23Oh.
07:24Oh.
07:25Oh.
07:26Oh.
07:27Oh.
07:28Oh.
07:29Oh.
07:30Oh.
07:31Oh.
07:32Oh.
07:33Oh.
07:34Oh.
07:35Oh.
07:36Oh.
07:37Oh.
07:38Oh.
07:39I love, oh.
07:40Oh.
07:41Oh.
07:42Oh.
07:43Oh.
07:44Oh, my首'.
07:45Oh, my首' vai.
07:46I
07:48will see Everybody Ernt didn't leave me expertise.
07:50I love the song in the competition is because of you.
07:55I love endlessly and I get a only hope.
08:00I make you half as proud as you make me.
08:02Oh.
08:04Love, love, love Kregis.
08:06P.S., Jonathan is taken so don't even think about it.
08:08Seeing her eyes start to get watery and her emotions flowing when I was reading that to her, it's untouchable.
08:16Love you, Ma.
08:16I made the envelope.
08:19I get it, Mom. I get it.
08:21Janet, you must know this. This is very, very, very Craig.
08:25It is sentimental, it is funny, and it is full of heart.
08:29He's got all those three qualities.
08:31Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion.
08:33That's like our thing.
08:34We'll be doing silly, goofy stuff, walking around the house.
08:36Yeah.
08:36You're like, you're rolling in the house.
08:39Just doing nonsense.
08:41And then it's like, Craig, a mommy talk.
08:43Yeah.
08:44That's the best. And I'm me because of her.
08:46No, I'm kidding.
08:48Angel.
08:49Okay.
08:51To me, querida, mamá.
08:54From tu hijo, Angel. Angel, Andresito.
08:57Her little baby.
08:59You will always, always, always be their baby.
09:03I will always be her little baby, yes.
09:05There is so much I want to tell you and thank you for.
09:09I remember that moving to the United States wasn't easy and that you sacrificed so much.
09:16I am forever grateful.
09:18I want her to see me shine, fulfill all my dreams so she can know that whatever she did is not for granted.
09:36Rustin, can you please read your card to your mother?
09:39So I went ahead and kept the lights on inside.
09:45It says...
09:47What's it say?
09:49It says shine.
09:51Mom.
09:52Shine on, she said.
09:56The light felt bright, a warmth in the night.
10:00I've seen the sky and the stars that shine, but one shines brightest, this star of mine.
10:07Every night I dream of the star she sees.
10:10Oh, my gosh.
10:14That's beautiful.
10:16It's such a gift.
10:18It's like an invisible cloak of power that you wear knowing that you have a mother's belief on you.
10:23Beautiful.
10:26Marcus?
10:27Yes, of course.
10:28I'm the real super fan.
10:30She's the super mom.
10:31To my super mom, thank you for giving me an amazing life.
10:36I wouldn't be the man I am today if you didn't sacrifice working all night at the hospital
10:40and making sure I was provided with everything that I ever needed all by yourself.
10:46You supported me in every step of my life and continue to pick me up,
10:50even when you're in your darkest moments.
10:54I want to cherish every moment we have left together,
10:57and I promise never to take another second of time with you for granted.
11:05You're a super fan.
11:06Marcus, I love you.
11:08I love you, too.
11:10I'm just glad I was able to get it out.
11:12I'm glad she knows it now.
11:14I'm glad I was able to tell her then.
11:17All right, now we have to get down to business and choose a winner.
11:20Oh, gosh.
11:22The guy that put his heart on his sleeve is...
11:25all of you.
11:30Congratulations, you're all winners.
11:33I was going to say.
11:35You can't measure that.
11:37So you all get an advantage for this festive face-off,
11:40and that is spending time with your moms.
11:44Amen.
11:44They will be here until elimination.
11:47And guys, we will see you later at your next star quality challenge,
11:51where it will be tremendous.
11:53Get out of here.
11:57Have fun.
11:58Go hang out with your mom.
11:59Let's go.
12:00Coming up, your co-star for this challenge,
12:03Sharon Lawrence.
12:04Oh, my God.
12:07Wow.
12:07I'm getting to run lines with my mom,
12:09which is epic.
12:11Mom.
12:11Mom.
12:12Mom.
12:13Mom.
12:13I was blown away.
12:22That I'm here?
12:23Yeah.
12:24I was blown away that I'm here.
12:26Yeah, I can't believe it.
12:27I feel so supported by all the guys here,
12:29but my mom, obviously, being my biggest supporter,
12:34it means so much to have my mom here.
12:36Do you have a favorite moment?
12:38Oh.
12:39I remember this one moment where I was standing in the workshop,
12:42and my mom came in.
12:46Well, first of all, I miss your mug.
12:48That's one of the reasons why I want to be here.
12:50I do.
12:50But then this is where you are meant to be.
12:53It just feels like an unbelievable privilege with life.
12:56Amen, babe.
12:57Amen, man.
12:57I have gifts.
13:01It's just a little something.
13:03Thanks, ma.
13:09Wow, nice.
13:11But we just wanted to let you know that
13:12you always, always are at home with us.
13:15Tipping away at that dream, right?
13:16I mean, here we are on Hallmark.
13:17Together.
13:18What the heck?
13:19Together.
13:20Crazy.
13:21I love my son.
13:23I love my son.
13:23And that...
13:24Well, you know,
13:25how have you been feeling with everything that's been going on,
13:51like mentally and physically?
13:53I mean, it's been somewhat hard mentally
13:56because, you know,
13:57you have to prepare yourself for the worst.
13:59It can be a lot.
14:01Yeah.
14:01But, I mean, you're strong.
14:03You've already beat it once.
14:04You can beat it again.
14:06And that's what I think, too.
14:07I just want you to know that it means a lot
14:09for being here.
14:11Just seeing you come in
14:12has already given me
14:13a lot of confidence and motivation
14:15to keep pushing through
14:15the rest of this challenge.
14:17I've always known that you could do
14:18anything you wanted to do.
14:20Yeah.
14:20Ever since you were a little boy.
14:22I couldn't ask for any more.
14:24Yeah.
14:26Mm-hmm.
14:29What?
14:30Hi, guys.
14:31Hello.
14:32How do you guys keep getting in our house?
14:34I know.
14:34Oh, don't ever leave the key under that rock.
14:37Seriously.
14:37Every time.
14:39This is your last star quality challenge
14:41before the finale of Finding Mr. Christmas.
14:44Oh, man.
14:45Okay.
14:46This is it.
14:46It's getting quick.
14:47This challenge determines which of you three
14:50goes into the finale to compete for the leading role
14:52in a Hallmark holiday movie.
14:54Okay.
14:55Nice.
14:55Sounds good to me.
14:56This is my last chance to prove myself,
14:59so I have to do the best I can to be in the finale.
15:04Up to this point in the competition,
15:05we've asked you to step into star-quality challenges
15:09and embody classic Hallmark moments.
15:12But there is one we haven't touched on yet,
15:16and that is the true meaning behind Christmas,
15:19family,
15:19the glue that holds any Hallmark movie together.
15:23Yeah.
15:23Yeah, so true.
15:24In this challenge,
15:25you'll take on a scene about coming home for the holidays
15:28and having a very special moment with Mom
15:30while decorating a beautiful Balsam Hill Christmas tree,
15:35really harnessing the Christmas spirit
15:37between a mother and a son.
15:39Okay.
15:40Wow.
15:40Okay.
15:41I never feel more loved than I do
15:43when I'm at home for Christmas with my family.
15:47We are looking for your emotional side,
15:50how you connect with your co-star,
15:52and overall leading man energy.
15:55We want you to give us all you got.

15:58we are giving you the greatest gift.
16:02Your co-star for this challenge
16:04is a TV legend and iconic actress.
16:09I've worked with her in The Christmas House
16:12and The Christmas House 2 decked the halls.
16:15She played my mother,
16:18award-winning actress,
16:20Sharon Lawrence.
16:21Oh, my God.
16:22Oh, my God.
16:24Wow.
16:25Hey!
16:27Wow.
16:27Since I was a kid,
16:28I've seen her in movies and TV shows.
16:30She's an amazing actress,
16:32so it's crazy that we get the opportunity
16:34to work with her.
16:35I'm so honored and excited to be here.
16:39I'm so proud of my boy.
16:43And to be part of your next step
16:46is a gift to me.
16:48Wow.
16:49Nobody will ever replace my favorite TV song.
16:52Yeah, don't you even try.
16:53We'll see.
16:54That's right.
16:55So, as actors,
16:56the relationships you make with your co-stars
16:58when you're playing family
16:59is so beautiful and strong,
17:03and there's just nothing like it.
17:05And the perfect example
17:06is when it came time for my wedding,
17:07and because my mom happens to be in heaven,
17:10Sharon stepped in to be my mom
17:13during that moment in time
17:15and was the flower girl for me and James.
17:17And this is the best TV mom in the world.
17:20And so I am so excited
17:21to get to share her with you guys.
17:23Thank you for sharing,
17:24and thank you for being here.
17:25Now, Sharon,
17:25what do you want to tell them
17:26before they dive into this emotional scene?
17:28Try to find that emotional intimacy.
17:31I'm trying to find a way
17:32that we become a mind and a heart meld,
17:36and it'll be different with each of us.
17:38Guys, we are looking forward
17:40to see you warm our hearts in this scene.
17:44Here are your scripts.
17:45You'll get to rehearse with your moms.
17:47I'm going to run lines with my mom.
17:49I feel so supported and loved by her.
17:53Get to work.
17:54Hey, thank you.
17:55All right, thank you.
17:56Good luck, gents.
17:57Let's do it, guys.
17:58Thank you so much.
17:59Work, work, work.
17:59They grow up so fast.
18:02You're so charming.
18:03They're so cute.
18:06Oh, my goodness.
18:07I can't believe it.
18:09You're here.
18:10I hated the thought
18:11of you being alone this year,
18:12so I had to come home.
18:14Merry Christmas, Mom.
18:16So the scene is about
18:18Sharon Lawrence is going to play my mom.
18:20I'm going to play her son,
18:21and we are going to have
18:24the first Christmas without my father,
18:26her husband of 40 years.
18:28She's trying to pretend she's okay,
18:31but I know she's hurting.
18:32This is an emotional scene,
18:34but I'm up for a challenge.
18:36So interior living room evening,
18:37mom, 70s.
18:39You're not 70s.
18:40You're 60s.
18:41Stands in front of
18:42a Balsam Hill Christmas tree.
18:44I've actually run lines
18:45with my mom before.
18:47She's not an actor, of course,
18:48but I'm convinced she's a genius,
18:50actually, like Albert Einstein-type genius.
18:52I hated the thought of you
18:53being home alone this year.
18:54I had to come.
18:55Don't be silly.
18:56I'm not alone.
18:58In fact, my calendar is packed.
18:59She once read an entire physics book,
19:01cover to cover,
19:02and then taught me it in one day
19:04to where I got an A on the test.
19:06I thought I was doing so well.
19:08What are you doing?
19:09You're doing awesome.
19:10This looks beautiful.
19:12The cookies are done.
19:14The pressure's on.
19:15This is a huge scene,
19:17but I actually feel really at ease
19:18because my mom's here.
19:20Merry Christmas, Dad.
19:21You said you wouldn't be back in time.
19:29The first of anything after 40 years
19:31without your husband is going to be hard.
19:34Don't be silly.
19:35I'm not home alone.
19:37I've got things on my calendar.
19:40Just look here.
19:41I've got...
19:42You can just read the lines.
19:43You don't have to look at them.
19:44That way you can...
19:44Doing an emotional scene,
19:47you have to go very deep
19:48and bring so much more to the character
19:50than just, you know,
19:51what's on the page.
19:52I love you.
19:52I love you.
19:53Yeah.
19:54Look at our mom.
19:58Ah, it's on my teeth.
20:02All right, Colin.
20:03Ready?
20:04All right, let's do it.
20:06Hey, have fun, man.
20:07Yeah.
20:07Break a leg.
20:08Do yourself.
20:10Coming up...
20:11He's acting with Sharon Moyer.
20:12Here he goes.
20:13Knock, knock.
20:14Mom, it's okay not to be okay.
20:18I get it.
20:19I know exactly what you're feeling.
20:26These chairs,
20:27they really aren't the most comfortable.
20:31Welcome to Set Life, Janet.
20:32Welcome to Set Life.
20:34What's up, Craig?
20:35How's it going?
20:36Good. How are you feeling?
20:37I feel good.
20:38Sharon, Craig, meet your son.
20:41What's up, Mom?
20:42I'm so glad to have you home.
20:45I'm glad to be home.
20:46It's really, really tough to be able to hit specific emotions at specific times.
20:51You really have to jump out of your own body and put yourself into the skin of the character.
20:56All right, this is it, Craig.
20:57You got it.
20:58Pictures up.
20:59Wait, it's going to start.
21:00All right.
21:01Okay.
21:01Put it by your ear and you'll get to watch.
21:03Yeah.
21:04All right.
21:04Get to watch your son.
21:06He's acting with Sharon Moyer.
21:08Here it goes.
21:08Action.
21:14Knock, knock.
21:16Trying to surprise her.
21:17That's amazing.
21:18He always enters in scenes so beautifully.
21:20Anybody home?
21:22Oh, my goodness.
21:24I don't believe it.
21:25You're here.
21:26I'm here, Mom.
21:27I'm here.
21:27Oh.
21:29Merry Christmas.
21:30But you said that you weren't going to be able to make it.
21:32I rearranged some things.
21:33I hated the idea of you being alone.
21:34Don't be silly.
21:35I'm not alone.
21:36I'm not.
21:37As a matter of fact, I have a very packed calendar.
21:41You know, your Aunt Carol, she's coming by tomorrow.
21:43Mom.
21:43And I've got Tuesday, the girl's annual holiday brunch.
21:47Mom.
21:47What?
21:48It's okay.
21:50If you're not okay.
21:55I'm not okay.
21:57Is it that obvious?
21:59You could pretend everything's normal.
22:01But doing the first of anything without your husband of 40 years, it's hard.
22:11The truth is, I don't really know who I am without your dad.
22:17I don't know who I am without dad either, Mom.
22:21But I do know that dad loved presents.
22:23Yeah.
22:24Right?
22:26He'd hate to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
22:28Right?
22:29Right.
22:31Go for it.
22:32Go for it.
22:35You always call them your North Star, so it seems fitting.
22:41It is perfect.
22:45Love you, Mom.
22:47Merry Christmas, Dad.
22:49Wherever you are.
22:52And cut.
22:53That's it.
22:54You can clap.
22:56That's your son.
22:59Yeah.
23:02Oh, you're taller than I thought.
23:04Yeah, I'm about the size of your average Christmas tree.
23:07Right there.
23:08Hi, Angel and Beatrice.
23:10We are ready for you.
23:11I've never played a son before.
23:25I have to stand out, impress the judges, impress my mom,
23:28and get through to the finale.
23:32Here's your boy.
23:33Here it is.
23:34Action.
23:36Knock, knock.
23:37Anybody home?
23:38Oh, I don't believe it.
23:41You're here?
23:42Oh, no.
23:43Mom.
23:45Weird.
23:46Merry Christmas, Mom.
23:47You would make it in time.
23:49I had to rearrange some things.
23:51I hated the thought of you being alone this year,
23:54so I had to come home.
23:56Oh, honey, don't be silly.
23:59I'm not alone.
24:01In fact, my calendar's packed.
24:03Your Aunt Carol, she's coming by tomorrow.
24:06And on Tuesday and Friday, I have something that's even...
24:09Mom.
24:09What?
24:10It's okay not to be okay.
24:12Is it that obvious?
24:19I thought I was doing so well.
24:22The first of anything,
24:23without having your husband of 40 years,
24:26that can be hard.
24:28The first Christmas
24:29is enough to break your heart.
24:33The truth is,
24:33I don't really know who I am without your dad.
24:37I don't know who I really am without him either.
24:42But what I do know,
24:47he loved presents.
24:49And he would hate to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
24:53So, I got you something.
24:56Oh.
25:01You always call him your North Star.
25:05It seemed fitting.
25:07Oh, sweetie, it's perfect.
25:10You're welcome.
25:10I'm glad you love it.
25:16Merry Christmas, Dad.
25:19We missed you.
25:22Cut.
25:24What's it feel like to see him?
25:26Yeah.
25:29Mm-hmm.
25:34I get it.
25:35I know exactly what you're feeling.
25:38Mm-hmm.
25:39And good luck and be sympathetic.
25:42All right, Marcus and Ellen,
25:44we are ready for you.
25:45I'm going to act like I'm talking to you this entire time.
25:48Yeah.
25:48You'll help me out.
25:49Oh, man.
25:50The fact that my mom gets to watch me act in this scene
25:53is really surreal.
25:55Take a seat right here.
25:56Okay.
25:58Hi, Marcus.
25:58Whoa.
25:59Being able to act in front of her on an actual set
26:02is just an amazing gift that I can give to her.
26:06Well, Marcus, we can't wait to see you shine.
26:07Oh, yes.
26:08But on the other hand, it brings a little bit of anxiety
26:10because I don't want to mess up while she's watching.
26:13If I can make my mom proud, then that's all I need in life.
26:17I think it's time to shoot, shall we?
26:19Let's do it.
26:20Places, everybody.
26:22Stand by for cue, Marcus.
26:23Okay.
26:24We're so glad that you're here.
26:26I know these chairs.
26:28I'm telling you, why can't we get a recliner on set?
26:30I mean, they give us these director's chairs.
26:33I want a recliner.
26:34I just don't want to fall over in the chair.
26:35You are not going to fall over.
26:36Anyway, I'm so glad to meet you.
26:39Yeah, you too.
26:40Pictures up.
26:41Here we go.
26:41Three, two, one, and action.
26:45Knock, knock.
26:46Anyone home?
26:48Oh, my goodness.
26:50I'm here.
26:52I don't believe it.
26:54You're here.
26:55Merry Christmas, Mom.
26:58Oh.
27:00But you said that you weren't going to be able to make any time.
27:04Yeah, well, I had to rearrange a few things.
27:07I just hated the fact of you being home alone this year.
27:11I had to come home.
27:12Don't be silly.
27:13I'm not alone.
27:15As a matter of fact, my calendar is packed.
27:18I've got your Aunt Carol coming by tomorrow, and then the girl's brunch is on Tuesday.
27:24And then on Friday, I have a what?
27:26Mom.
27:26Mom.
27:29You know it's okay.
27:30If you're not okay.
27:36Is it that obvious?
27:39I thought I was doing so well.
27:41You can bake and decorate the house and act like everything is normal.
27:46But you, you, I feel like I'm losing it a little bit.
27:54I'm really having to try to almost push myself to stay in the scene instead of just being in the scene.
27:59Coming up.
28:01Merry Christmas, Mom.
28:03Yes.
28:04Yes.
28:05One of you will be going home tonight.
28:06You can bake and decorate the house and act like everything is normal.
28:18But you, you, you being without your husband for 40 years is going to be hard.
28:29And, and, and it's, it's Christmas.
28:36Well, that, that just, that just makes it, you want to break your heart.
28:43Wow.
28:44Truth is, I don't really know who I am without your father.
28:49I know, Mom.
28:52I honestly don't know who I am without him either.
28:55But I do know.
28:56He said he loved presents.
28:58And he wouldn't want to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
29:05Here.
29:06I got you something.
29:07I know it's a little big.
29:09Uh-oh.
29:10He's not supposed to pick up the box.
29:13I'll keep it right here.
29:14Just for safety.
29:15Yes.
29:21You always called him your North Star.
29:24It seemed fitting.
29:28It's perfect, sweetie.
29:33Merry Christmas, Dad.
29:36Wherever you are.
29:38Cut.
29:39Good job.
29:40You're, you're, you're amazing.
29:41You're so good.
29:42You're amazing.
29:43Wow.
29:44Excellent.
29:46I'm feeling a little scared.
29:48I felt like there were points in time when I had to say certain lines or react in certain
29:52ways.
29:53It just, it wasn't coming out the way I wanted it to.
29:56Have fun.
29:57Yeah.
29:57Be genuine.
29:58Connect.
30:00Look at, look at her eyes like you look at my eyes.
30:04She'll melt.
30:05It'll be fabulous.
30:06Thanks.
30:08Appreciate you.
30:09All right, Russell and Lisa, we are ready for you.
30:12What a privilege it is to have this opportunity to go and do this scene with Sharon Lawrence.
30:20Obviously now being really touched that my mom was here and being able to have that interaction
30:24with her, I think that's going to really play into this scene.
30:27What a beautiful, I mean, this is stunning.
30:29Isn't it beautiful?
30:29Don't you feel like we're already in the water?
30:30Yeah, I know.
30:31I'm ready.
30:32I'm ready.
30:32He's a popcorn.
30:33Lisa and I, we like our cucumber water.
30:37Here we go.
30:39Action.
30:41Knock, knock.
30:42Anybody home?
30:44Oh my goodness.
30:46I don't believe it.
30:48You're here?
30:50I'm here.
30:52Merry Christmas, Mom.
30:54Oh, look, you said that you weren't going to make it in time.
31:00Oh, I rearranged some stuff.
31:02I hated the idea of you being alone this year.
31:04I had to come home.
31:05I am not alone.
31:07As a matter of fact, my social calendar's packed.
31:11Mom.
31:11Your Aunt Mary, she's coming by tomorrow.
31:14Mom.
31:15And Friday, I have something even more.
31:17Mom.
31:18What?
31:20You know, it's okay.
31:23It's okay if you're not okay.
31:29Is it that obvious?
31:32You can decorate or bake like everything's normal.
31:36But the first of anything without your husband of 40 years.
31:43It's going to be hard.
31:45The first Christmas?
31:48Lots of not to break heart.
31:51I don't really know who I am without your dad.
31:56I know, Mom.
32:02I don't know if I know who I am without him either.
32:06But I do know this.
32:08He loved presents.
32:10Yes.
32:11And he'd hate to see us cry on Christmas Eve.
32:14Here.
32:16Okay.
32:17You always called him your North Star, so it seemed fitting.
32:23Oh.
32:24Sweet.
32:25It's perfect.
32:29Merry Christmas, Dad.
32:32Wherever you are.
32:33It was nice having my mom here and being recharged.
32:48Here we are.
32:49She sees the full scope of me from the beginning to the end, and I hope I made her proud.
32:57How did Rustin do?
32:58He was beyond all my expectations, and I have high expectations.
33:03He does.
33:04I just feel like there's been a lot of work.
33:08There's been a lot of growth.
33:10Thanks, Mom.
33:10Yes.
33:11Yes, and I feel privileged to have been able to watch it.
33:14Like when it was birthed right there on television.
33:22Yeah, for sure.
33:23I'm just really...
33:25Oh, thanks, Mom.
33:25Leave it to Mom.
33:28Yeah, I know, right?
33:28It's great.
33:29Like another on-set essence.
33:31Yeah, that would be me.
33:32This has been my favorite memory of this entire experience, hands down.
33:37All right, well, Mom, Mom, Madre, Mom.
33:42I think it's time for us to get ready for this elimination.
33:46So, time to say goodbye.
33:48You know, it's always hard to say goodbye to my mom, but wherever I go, I'll always have
33:54my family at home.
33:56You know?
33:57And there's nothing better than that.
34:01Bring it in.
34:01Group hug, guys.
34:02Yeah!
34:03And I just want to say, ladies, thank you so much for raising such angels.
34:09Yeah, okay, I see what you're doing.
34:10I know.
34:11Yeah, I know.
34:11Wow.
34:13Sharon, getting to watch you play the mother to my four boys was absolutely beautiful, but
34:21also made me jealous because I wanted to be in their shoes doing a scene with my mom because
34:26it's so wonderful.
34:26How did it feel for you?
34:28It was such a unique experience.
34:31Every single actor, I felt their heart.
34:36I felt the tenderness, the honesty that you were getting from each of them was very real
34:44and potent.
34:45I saw the emotion come out in so many different places that it wasn't expecting in each of
34:50our contestants' takes.
34:51Let's start with Marcus.
34:52Yeah, Marcus.
34:53First thoughts.
34:53Marcus was so lovely and warm and there's a fragility to him.
35:00But when he picked up the box to hand to me, what he didn't really know or keep in mind
35:05was that that had to be where it was for the reveal and for the cameras.
35:10I felt him trying to find a way back to that tenderness that we had.
35:17I maybe wanted him to go a little more emotional at times.
35:22I agree because that was what kind of this whole test was today.
35:26Okay, let's talk about Craig.
35:27I think he's got that comedic ability and that instinct and a timing that you cannot teach.
35:31He went a little tougher on the mom.
35:34The girl's annual holiday brunch.
35:36Mom!
35:37To play opposite that was interesting thing for me to feel and observe and realize that his
35:43energy could get the best of him.
35:46We saw real tears.
35:47He was, of all four of them, I think the most raw when it came to his emotion.
35:52Then let's talk about Rustin.
35:53Very skilled.
35:55And emotionally, I think we dropped in, in a real way.
36:00I'm not surprised.
36:01I want to be surprised?
36:03Yeah, I want to be surprised more with Rustin.
36:05And I do think with Rustin, there were little bits that kind of felt disconnected.
36:09But overall, he did a great job.
36:12Let's talk about our sweet angel.
36:14On camera, that face is just, it comes right through the screen, that smile.
36:20And he's very physical.
36:22So the end of the scene was my room.
36:24So good.
36:24He hugged you like four times.
36:26Yeah.
36:26It all was warranted.
36:27Right.
36:27He's not afraid to be vulnerable.
36:29And I think for him, having his mom here really helped him get there.
36:34Well, ladies, we have a decision to make.
36:36I do.
36:37It is splitting hairs, splitting frames.
36:39But unfortunately, one of our guys has to go home.
36:48Three of us will go to the finale.
36:50I want to be here.
36:52This is what I want.
36:52This is what I came to do here.
36:54I want to win.
36:55Hello, gentlemen.
36:59Four of you remain.
37:00But in the end, only one of you will walk out of here with a leading role in a Hallmark
37:05Holiday movie and be crowned Mr. Christmas.
37:09In today's Star Quality Challenge, you had to act in an emotional scene between a son and
37:15his mom.
37:15We are truly at a point right now where it's splitting hairs, frames.
37:19It's all of these things.
37:20Sharon, what was it like working with our guys?
37:23What you all did was really difficult.
37:27And I respect what you've had to do.
37:30It speaks a lot to the trust that you developed in your instrument.
37:35We have a promising future in your hands.
37:39As you know, only one of you will be tonight's shining star.
37:42And that person tapped into his emotion at all the right places.
37:47He blew us away with his authenticity and nailed the scene from top to bottom.
37:53The winner of the Star Quality Challenge and tonight's shining star is Angel.
38:06Oh, buddy.
38:09Oh, good job, man.
38:13My first Star Quality Challenge win.
38:17Oh, what a relief.
38:20It was such a pleasure meeting you and talking to you.
38:23And then I felt your energy.
38:25That was the connection I needed.
38:27Well done.
38:29Not only are you today's shining star, you are the first guy going to the finale.
38:33Congratulations.
38:35Now, the hard part.
38:37There are three of you that remain, but there are only two spots available in the finale.
38:41Rustin, you clearly know who Rustin is, and that's why you act with consistency.
38:49The groundedness with your co-star was clear and beautifully acted.
38:53And because of that, Rustin, you are the second person headed into the finale of Finding Mr. Christmas.
39:00Good job, man.
39:01Congrats, man.
39:02Congrats.
39:02Oh, yes.
39:05I've worked so, so, so, so, so hard for this.
39:08I'm so excited.
39:09Here we go.
39:10Marcus and Craig.
39:12Would you please step forward?
39:14Hey, good luck, man.
39:15Good luck, dude.
39:18Craig.
39:19Tonight, the scene called for emotions, and you came in a little hot at the top.
39:24You're going to take a risk, make sure it can land.
39:27Marcus, when you're in the pocket, you're a movie star times a billion.
39:32But you struggle with consistency.
39:35I'm just hoping there's a slither of hope that I brought enough to get me into the finale.
39:41I'm shaking.
39:43I'm nervous.
39:44I'm breathing heavy.
39:44My heart's going.
39:46Unfortunately.
39:50Marcus.
39:52It's time to take your stocking down.
39:54You're going home for the holidays.
39:55Good job.
40:02Good job.
40:02Oh, man.
40:03We're going to miss it.
40:03Keep going.
40:05Don't give up.
40:06Marcus, when you started in this competition, you seemed quiet and cautious.
40:11But then something clicked.
40:14You started letting us know who you were, and it was amazing.
40:17Suddenly, that beautiful smile you always flash got even brighter.
40:24And meeting your mom today, we now know where you get it from.
40:28I'm thanking both of you for being great mentors and teachers and guiding us in the right direction.
40:34Marcus, thank you so much.
40:36And we can't wait to see what you do next.
40:41Marcus, we love you, man.
40:42We love you, brother.
40:43Marcus.
40:46It's a heartbreak, you know?
40:47We put so much work into every challenge, but it's definitely not at a loss.
40:53I'm extremely proud of what I've been able to do here.
40:56I've learned so much about myself.
40:57I've learned to just trust in myself more and trust in my instincts.
41:05And the more I can trust in those, the more I can do anything.
41:09Guys, this is it.
41:11Everything you've worked for and you've learned up to this point has prepared you for this finale.
41:18We'll see you next time where we crown the next Mr. Christmas.
41:24This is out of this world.
