00:00Please welcome your host, Jeanette Munraro.
00:19Hello and welcome to Wednesday's It Takes Two.
00:34We are live on BBC Two and iPlayer and we are just three days away from the Strictly final.
00:42Three finalists, three dances, one big night on Saturday and we're here to make sure you've
00:47got your Strictly fix.
00:49The countdown is on, so make sure to free yourself from anything you might be doing right now
00:54because this is what you've got to look forward to tonight.
00:58If Saturday's semi-final was a football game, Karen and Carlos were the players of the match.
01:03But after finishing top of the leaderboard, is the pressure now on for them to deliver
01:07in the final?
01:08Well, I'll be finding out.
01:11The weekend isn't just about our three finalists.
01:13The other celebs, who started with us back in September, will take to the floor this
01:17Saturday.
01:18And we've got a sneak peek at their group number as well.
01:21Can't wait.
01:22Plus, three famous faces are here with one agenda to make you vote for their favourite
01:28in the Strictly final.
01:29We'll be catching up with Maisie Adam, Italian Batch and Maz Murray to find out why you should
01:34pick their favourite or the glitter ball.
01:39But before all that, I've got a thirst for some stats.
01:41Can you...
01:42Oh, thank you so much.
01:43Can I...
01:44Oh, God.
01:45This OJ is off.
01:46Can I get another one, please?
01:47Hi.
01:48Oh, hey.
01:49It's time for OJ Borg's final scores on the Borg.
01:53Lovely to see you.
01:55Give it up for OJ Borg.
02:00Welcome back.
02:01And can I just say, you look lovely.
02:05I've gone full noise with this outfit for a few reasons.
02:07One, it's the final week of Strictly.
02:09Yes.
02:10Of course.
02:12Secondly, I brought out my inner Anton de Bec.
02:13Oh.
02:14Because I'm going to Carol Vordermans later on for some wine, cheese and algebra.
02:17Oh, lovely.
02:18Yes.
02:19I wasn't invited.
02:20Okay, here we go.
02:21You are invited now.
02:23Who have we got today?
02:24It's because it's been truly record breaking.
02:25You ready for some record breaking stuff?
02:26I love a record breaking.
02:27Before I do a deep dive into the stats, a mention of some of the records that have tumbled.
02:31We've had the joint earliest perfect score in Strictly history.
02:34Whoa.
02:35The highest average score for a Blackpool week ever.
02:38Oh, hey.
02:39And a big shout out.
02:40In fact, the biggest shout out to Balvinda who has won a record five dance off for a series.
02:44Wow.
02:45All right.
02:46But what about pros?
02:47Any stats on pros?
02:48Well, we're going to have a new pro winning Strictly this year.
02:50Carlos and Nikita have both been in the final once before but didn't win.
02:53It's Alexis' first year on Strictly.
02:55So, do you think it should be at a disadvantage?
02:57Not really.
02:58We have had Aliash won his first year.
03:00Yavita won her first year.
03:01So, anything can happen.
03:02Yeah.
03:03And they're all going to want to win.
03:04We know that for sure to get that first win.
03:05All right.
03:06Well, let's go now to the celebs.
03:07Give us stats on the celebs.
03:08Okay.
03:09Let's have a look at their overall scores to get an idea how they have been marked.
03:11We have the leaderboard.
03:12Hey!
03:13I'm happy when I see this.
03:14My mum is happy when she sees this.
03:16And you can see that Amber is currently out in front.
03:19But, 4-6-1.
03:20Wow.
03:21It is super close between Karen and George.
03:234-26 of 4-14.
03:24Using my brain and maths.
03:2612 points between them.
03:27Nice.
03:28Now, Amber can't catch Tashaguri's record for the most number of points on Strictly.
03:31But remember, Chris McCausland won the glitter ball last year after being on 406 points.
03:36So, less than George and Alexis at this point.
03:38So, it's anyone's game.
03:39And he went on to win it, right?
03:40He did, yes.
03:41So, what about tens?
03:42Any stats on the tens this series?
03:44Well, I'm glad you asked me because this is very interesting.
03:46Do you like pie?
03:47I love pie.
03:48We all like pie.
03:49Let's have a pie chart.
03:50It is so close between Amber and Karen.
03:52This is even more impressive.
03:54If we look at 16 and 17, just a one between them.
03:57Because this weekend, Amber and Nikita became the first couple ever to get 3-14s three weeks in a row.
04:04Hat trick, hat trick.
04:05And what about tens from each judge?
04:07Well, here we go.
04:08Here comes the breakdown on tens from each judge.
04:10You can see that Motsi, well, look, there we go.
04:1218, 13 for Shirley, 15 for Anton Motsi.
04:15We like her.
04:16Yeah, she's the most generous judge.
04:17She's not always that generous, though.
04:18If you take a look at this, she has given out threes before.
04:21Oh, wow.
04:22Look at that.
04:23But she delivers it so nicely.
04:24She does.
04:25It's a three.
04:26It's a three.
04:27It's like Craig going ten.
04:28Ten.
04:29He does sound that way.
04:30If I want disappointing news, I want it like that from Motsi.
04:32Exactly.
04:33Exactly.
04:34As always, Craig has been tight with the tens, right?
04:36Right.
04:37Wrong!
04:38This is the most generous Craig has ever been with his ten paddle before the final in all 23 series.
04:43Yes, it is.
04:44His six tens beat his previous record of five in series 19.
04:48He gave out four more in the final that year.
04:50So if he does the same this year, it will break the record for the most Craig tens in a series.
04:54And not only that, it will also break the record for the most perfect scores in a series.
04:59Because when Craig gives out a ten, it means that it's always a 40, right?
05:02Right!
05:03Wrong!
05:04Again!
05:05Because Craig has given out a ten five times when it hasn't resulted in a perfect score.
05:09Well, Austin and Erin's past the Doble, Alicia and Matthew's waltz.
05:12Ricky and Natalie's showdowns.
05:13Kara and Artem's American Smooth.
05:15Danny and Oti's American Smooth.
05:16And in fact, that was the last time it happened in series 14.
05:19Wow!
05:20It was good though, wasn't it?
05:21And how many tens has Craig given, speaking of the gentleman?
05:24Well, let's take a look, shall we?
05:26Yeah.
05:27Because you can see Craig, if we add these two scores together, has given out 111 tens.
05:31But just under two thirds of them have been in the final.
05:34So he's warmed up.
05:35He's ready with that paddle.
05:36Yes.
05:37So our couples this year should be encouraged that there are more tens, hopefully, to come.
05:40OK.
05:41Speaking of the couples, can we look at stats of them individually?
05:44Yes, we can.
05:45Let's start with Amber.
05:46I want to show you how consistent she has been on the Liederborg.
05:49Right.
05:50So if we take a look at this, these are our Liederborg positions for each week.
05:53Oh, wow.
05:54But no combined scores, no instant dance scores included here.
05:57Just week on week scoring.
05:58Wow.
05:59You can see she's been consistent.
06:00I mean, look at that.
06:01Third, fourth, second, third, fourth.
06:02All amazing.
06:03She's not been lower than fourth on the Liederborg just here.
06:07And she's actually been first three times, and that includes any ties.
06:10So week eight, and then 10 and 11 as well she has been first.
06:13Nice.
06:14Very effective.
06:15What is she good at?
06:16Any styles she's better at than others?
06:17Yeah, will she have a bar chart?
06:18Yeah, go on.
06:19Let's do it.
06:20You can see that she's got a better average in Latin than ballroom.
06:22She does have Latin.
06:23Ballroom is the only area she hasn't as yet had a perfect score.
06:27But if she gets three perfect scores this weekend, she will end the series on six forties.
06:31That would take the record for the most forties in the series.
06:34Currently held as five by Ashley Roberts and Pasha.
06:37OK.
06:38What about now Karen and Carlos?
06:40Stats.
06:41Well, let's take a look at their journey, their position over the Liederborg.
06:44And I use the word journey because she's had a real strictly ride.
06:47She's been on two journeys.
06:48Whoa.
06:49Yeah.
06:50But one journey from footballer to dancer.
06:52And then we take a look at the scores.
06:53And fair enough, she's had some ones.
06:55She's actually led the Liederborg three times, the same as Ander, including any ties.
07:00But she's also been bottom once.
07:02We can see that there in red at fifth.
07:05She's been tenth twice, second twice, really up and down.
07:08Wow.
07:09But it's been amazing to watch, to see her really growing confidence.
07:12It's been a wonderful, wonderful ride.
07:13What a journey.
07:14And what is she best at?
07:15Well, you can see her speciality dances are where she thrives.
07:18So this is her Argentine tango.
07:20She does.
07:21The Charleston, the south of the couple's choice.
07:23She's also had 39s for her waltz and her paso.
07:25So it does go to show how much she's improved in ballroom and Latin as well.
07:29She really has, hasn't she?
07:30Yes.
07:31What about George and Alexis?
07:32So, Amber and Cameron have both topped the Liederborg three times.
07:35George has never topped it.
07:37Not once.
07:38Not over the series.
07:39How can you believe that?
07:40I know, because he's been so popular and wonderful and a great dancer.
07:42He's been second three times.
07:43He's been bottom of the pile once in week five.
07:45But he scored 27 that week for his jive.
07:48So there we go.
07:49Week five, 11th.
07:50If he'd scored 27 in any other week five in strictly history, any series,
07:54he would not have been bottom, which goes to show how high the standards have been.
07:58That is amazing for the scores of the series.
08:00And what is George best at?
08:01Well, he has thrived at the Sousa and the Charlestons,
08:04so he's surely going to follow in the footsteps of Amber and Karen as a speciality specialist.
08:08Right?
08:09Wrong!
08:10No, you're right!
08:11Yeah, this time.
08:12You got me!
08:13His highest average is for speciality dances.
08:15It's close, though, and George stands out as he's one of the only of the three
08:18who has a higher average for ballroom than Latin,
08:21so I think we can declare that George is a...
08:23Ballroom boy!
08:24Ballroom boy!
08:26Go on, one final graph.
08:27I love it.
08:28Go on, then.
08:29Thank you for saying that, and I'm glad you did,
08:30because it's my favourite graph is back.
08:32It's a man I saw at Strictly when I was there.
08:34It's the Charles Venn diagram.
08:36We love it!
08:37Now, what two dancers of all three of our finest got tens for this series?
08:40Animate!
08:41Tell me.
08:42Ooh!
08:43It is the Salsa and the Charleston.
08:45I do love a Salsa.
08:46And what's the point of this?
08:47Ask me.
08:48What's the point of it?
08:49Absolutely nothing, really.
08:50It's a seven-year-old joke we can't let go of, but one thing's for sure,
08:53this year's finalists are going to give us a very special weekend.
08:56I feel like headed.
08:57Oh, wow.
08:58Well done.
08:59Thank you for that.
09:00Let's hear it for OJ Borg.
09:02I love it.
09:03And your amazing leader Borg.
09:06All right.
09:07Right.
09:08We started with 15, and we're down to just three.
09:10Back in September, they all set out with the aim of learning to dance.
09:13This Saturday, the celebs we've lost along the way returned to show off their newfound
09:18skills one last time.
09:20Let's see how they've been going on in rehearsals.
09:24All the celebs are back for one final group dance, including some of their most memorable
09:29moments.
09:33Gosh, it came right quickly, didn't it?
09:34So quick.
09:38We're back.
09:39Just to be back in here, feeling that energy again.
09:42I'm buzzing.
09:43How excited how you from one to 100.
09:45Oh, to the galaxy I'm back.
09:50We always throw the kitchen sink at this one.
09:52Everybody is back.
09:53There's going to be loads of energy.
09:54There's going to be loads of fun.
09:57I actually don't remember how to dance.
09:59It's funny.
10:00I don't.
10:01I am still nervous.
10:03Something's never changed.
10:06You know what?
10:07I forgot how hard it was.
10:09I'm really pleasantly surprised at how quickly Jimmy is picking up steps.
10:14I think I did a good job whilst we were on the show.
10:16You did the magnificent job.
10:17It's lovely to see the old team back together again just for one last final goodbye.
10:24Yeah, it's like a bookend.
10:25Yeah.
10:27So tune in this Saturday and catch a mega reunion you don't want to miss.
10:31Well, that is going to be fantastic.
10:39And speaking of fantastic, behind every great dancer is a best friend supporting them.
10:45So let's welcome our celebrity supporter panel.
10:48She met Kaz playing in a charity football match, but her only goal that day was to become her friend.
10:58Back of the net, it's Maisie Adams.
11:00He's a social media star with over 3 million followers on TikTok.
11:05And when it comes to George, he'd follow him to the ends of the earth.
11:09Or at least to the end of Strictly.
11:11It's Italian Batch.
11:14And she starred in some of the Western's biggest productions, including We Will Rock You, Chicago, and Mamma Mia.
11:21My, my, how can we resist her?
11:23It's Amber's mate, Maz Murray.
11:27Did you like those guys?
11:28Yeah, yeah.
11:29You're welcome, rather than myself.
11:31Okay.
11:32Welcome to the show.
11:33I'm going to start with you, Maisie, because you're here supporting Kaz.
11:36Now, you've been a big fan of hers since the days of her just playing, really.
11:40What is the difference between Kaz the footballer and Kaz the dancer?
11:44I think that's been one of the things that's been so amazing to see is, like, Kaz is a footballer.
11:51She was so tenacious.
11:52She was so kind of, like, quick, like how you see her on the dance floor now.
11:56But also, she was such a team player and a leader.
11:59And I think that's what we've also loved watching her in Strictly.
12:02She's the same way she would be first off the pitch to go, you know, when they have those chats at the end of a game.
12:07And she would be the first to go, oh, but thanks to all the crowd, the travelling fans, and thanks to all the other players,
12:12that's the reason I got player of the match or whatever.
12:14And she's the same now, going, like, at the weekend when she was like,
12:17thanks to the costume department for making me feel beautiful.
12:19Yes, I know.
12:20Like, she's just always that team player.
12:22So, I really don't think actually there's that much difference between how she was as a footballer.
12:26But she did, week one was her jive.
12:28The shoes are better.
12:29The shoes are different, I guess, yeah.
12:30The shoes are better, yeah.
12:31She did the jive on week one.
12:32Yeah.
12:33And she's chosen to do it again in the final.
12:34I'm so excited.
12:35Are you excited to see it again?
12:36I love this.
12:37It was so good.
12:40Maisie.
12:41Full kit.
12:42Sorry.
12:43Sorry.
12:44Maisie was distracted watching it all over again.
12:46Yeah, just full kit.
12:47Amazing.
12:48I'm so excited to see it again.
12:49So excited.
12:50Any other dance of hers that you loved or impressed you the most?
12:52I mean, the couple's choice.
12:53Yes.
12:54The couple's choice.
12:55And especially because of, like, the story behind it.
12:57Yeah.
12:58Kaz has just, she's overcome so much in her career.
13:02Yes.
13:03On and off the pitch and just really done things her way, you know, and been unapologetically
13:08herself.
13:09And it's been amazing for people to see that side of her as well, which is amazing.
13:14She's done really well overall though, because she's topped the leaderboard three times.
13:18Yeah.
13:19She's got 16 10s.
13:2016?
13:2116 10s.
13:22Do you think she can cross the line in the final?
13:24She's got 16 10s.
13:25She has 16 10s.
13:26I know.
13:27Oh, yeah.
13:28Like, she's the goat.
13:29She's so good.
13:30She's the goat.
13:31She's so good.
13:32And, like, I just think it's been amazing for people to see somebody that isn't the player
13:37or the pundit, but this person.
13:39But now she's a beautiful dancer.
13:41She's a beautiful dancer.
13:42Bat, we're going to talk to you now because you're here supporting George and Alexis.
13:46That's right.
13:47A good friend of yours.
13:48Yes.
13:49Now, we saw you in the training room a little bit earlier in the series.
13:50He came in and you watched.
13:51Yeah.
13:52When you were in the room, did you go, wow, this is a lot harder than I thought it was going
13:55to be?
13:56I did, yeah.
13:57I tried a little bit with Alexis and I just kept falling over.
14:01I mean, what you saw on TV was just one minute of maybe we were there for an hour
14:06and a half and there was just lots of falling and falling.
14:09And then I was running around in all fours at one point.
14:12It was a bit chaotic.
14:13It was a bit of a fever dream, really.
14:15Did you bring out that mood?
14:16Yeah.
14:17That'd be good.
14:18I think my personal favourite is the boop, boop that we saw in the salsa.
14:21Oh, George's little boop.
14:22Yeah, little boop, boop.
14:23Yeah, his hips are great.
14:24But George had such a solid start in the series.
14:26So what was your reaction when you first saw him dance?
14:28Did you go, what?
14:29I had a feeling that his hips could do that.
14:31Did you?
14:32Yeah.
14:33I had a feeling.
14:34I had a feeling.
14:35So this is his week one American Smooth.
14:37Look at him.
14:38He was amazing.
14:39I was shocked to see how good he was for week one.
14:41Yeah.
14:42But I knew that he had something in him, you know?
14:46Yeah.
14:47At the beginning he got a lot of criticism from the judges for not like really letting go.
14:51Yeah.
14:52Has there been a dance that you think personally, alright, he's definitely let go now?
14:55I think the recent Samba.
14:57Yes.
14:58Incredible.
14:59Yeah, that was amazing.
15:00And he was ripping his...
15:01I was watching at home and I was trying to rip my shirt off.
15:04Yeah.
15:05I just gave myself a loose neck, but it was just...
15:07He was incredible.
15:08He was so good.
15:09So good.
15:10Yeah.
15:11And like you said, it's just a different George from what we started.
15:14Completely different George, yeah.
15:15Completely.
15:16But you know, he's the last man standing in the competition.
15:19Yes.
15:20Could he be the last celeb standing in the final?
15:23I mean, I've got to say yes.
15:24He's right here.
15:25I think he will be.
15:26I think he will be.
15:27Yeah.
15:28Well, we'll see what happens.
15:29But you are here today, Maz, to support Amber and Ken.
15:31Yes.
15:32All of them are just brilliant, aren't they?
15:33All the finalists.
15:34Yeah.
15:35You met Amber backstage at a West End Live just after she had finished doing Love Island.
15:39Yeah.
15:40She'd just come out of Love Island.
15:41Yeah.
15:42I mean, what do you make of her?
15:43She's really transformed, I think.
15:44Yeah.
15:45I mean, you know, when I met her, she'd just come out of Love Island and she felt that she
15:49had everything to prove to the musical theatre community.
15:52It was a massive event called West End Live, which is in Trafalgar Square and you sing
15:55live.
15:56And it was a lot for her and a lot for her to prove herself.
15:59And yeah, she was having a little weep backstage because it had all got too much.
16:03Yes.
16:04And we forget that she was a kid, you know, then.
16:07And she takes it very seriously.
16:10She, above all, is a massive fan.
16:13Yes.
16:14She's a massive fan of this show.
16:15She's a massive fan.
16:16Which is probably why, even though they called her at the last second, she couldn't say no!
16:21But she would think she handled it so well, didn't she?
16:23Well, you know, the criteria was, with wonderful Danny Dyer couldn't do it, so it had to be a Love
16:27Island contestant and it had to be somebody that can come in and learn something overnight.
16:31In about three seconds.
16:32You know, I mean, you look at this, okay.
16:34She had six hours to learn a routine.
16:37Six hours, not six weeks like everybody else.
16:40And to do it like that, you can't even see her legs shake and they would have been because I know her.
16:45And she would have been absolutely petrified.
16:47But it's the way that she maintained her nerves as well with so little training.
16:50She loves it.
16:51She loves the show.
16:52But Nikita described their American Smooth that they did a few weeks back as one of his favourite ever dances on Strictly.
16:57But it's one of yours as well.
16:59It's my favourite.
17:00Why is that?
17:01Well, because it's from The Sound of Music and because that music is so romantic, she is as cute as a button.
17:08And that's where she, look how beautiful that is.
17:11I mean, her lines, everything.
17:13And she looks, I know this sounds funny, but she looks so cute and so chuchy.
17:18I mean, she is wearing a pink dress ruffle, so I get it.
17:21But to me, she's a kid, you know.
17:23To me, she's starting out in her career and she works really, really, really hard.
17:27She does work really hard.
17:28Yeah, really hard.
17:29I mean, three great contenders, everybody.
17:31I don't know what's going to happen at the weekend.
17:33In case any viewers, though, are undecided, each of you are going to now make a public appeal to your friends,
17:41asking the audience to please vote for them.
17:43Now, you'll each have ten seconds to convince everyone watching why they should vote.
17:47Why they should vote for your friend.
17:49Okay.
17:50Are you ready?
17:51You've got ten seconds, all right?
17:52Can I have ten seconds on the clock?
17:53All right, Maisie, you're up first.
17:55Okay, down here.
17:56Here we go.
17:57Your time starts now.
17:59Hello.
18:00Right, hello.
18:01Don't say hello.
18:02For years, Kaskani has inspired on and off the pitch.
18:04Now she's inspiring on and off the dance floor.
18:07And she tangoed in a flat cap.
18:08That's really hard.
18:09Fine.
18:10Well done.
18:11Very good.
18:12You just got too much time saying hello.
18:14That was really good.
18:15Ten seconds.
18:16Ten seconds.
18:17Are you ready?
18:18Your time starts now.
18:19Okay.
18:20Please vote for Joy.
18:21He said that I can keep this if you vote for him.
18:23And I really want to keep this.
18:24And I'm not going to breathe until you vote for him.
18:27That's good.
18:28That's good.
18:29Time to spare.
18:30That's pro.
18:31Maz, you're up next.
18:32Are you ready?
18:33Time starts now.
18:34Well, like the highway code says, when it goes to Amber, you better get ready.
18:39Listen, she said it's the best experience of her life.
18:43So, show your support.
18:45Yay!
18:46Well, thank you all so very much.
18:47Ten seconds, Jeanette.
18:48Let's show some support for our supporters panel.
18:50Yay!
18:51Woo!
18:54Next up, Karen and Carlos are finalists.
18:57Yes.
18:58Yes.
18:59And there's not a sleeve big enough to wipe away Carlos' tears of joy.
19:05None at all.
19:09Beautiful waltz, beautiful feet, beautiful musicality, beautiful connection between you two.
19:15It had flow, it had elegance, darling.
19:21Very, very beautiful.
19:25I never thought you could do that quality, that softness, that sensitivity.
19:30This is beautiful and I love you for this.
19:32Congratulations.
19:33That was amazing.
19:39You got out there and you thought, I'm giving everything I'm capable of.
19:44I loved it.
19:47For me, it was a little bit skippy, but you know what?
19:50It was clean, it was crisp, it was flashy, darling.
19:56You've gone, this is it.
19:57I'm going to treat it like the final.
19:59And this was just out of this world.
20:02Wow.
20:03Well done.
20:07It's Karen and Carlos, everyone.
20:09Kaz, what a weekend.
20:12Six tens and top of the combined leaderboard.
20:16I mean, could it have gone any better?
20:18Could it have gone any better?
20:19No, and I never imagined it to be like that.
20:22I just, I can't, I still cannot believe it, that it happened and yeah, unbelievable.
20:28Yeah.
20:29And Carlos, you felt every emotion possible at the weekend.
20:32How are you now?
20:33Have you recovered?
20:34I still not.
20:35We've got tissues here just in case.
20:37It's just being emotional.
20:38I mean, this whole journey has been really emotional for me and Karen and we've been through
20:42so much and they've grown as a pair and I think we connect in such a deep level so we understand
20:49each other much more than we thought and we expected and having her doing the awards,
20:55it made my heart.
20:57Yes and what a great score for it as well.
20:59If there was ever any doubt about how much this competition or what this competition means
21:05to you, it has definitely been decided after this.
21:09Karen and Carlos.
21:10Yes.
21:11Yes.
21:12Yes.
21:13Yes.
21:14You're welcome.
21:16Thank you so much.
21:18Thank you so much.
21:20Oh.
21:21But I mean, where does the feeling of that rank for you in terms of all the amazing moments
21:28you've had in the series?
21:29I'm just so proud because I never thought we'd get this far and actually it's never been about
21:38winning a glitter ball or getting to a final, it's always been so much more and just having
21:44so much fun and personal obstacles to overcome and also the privilege of being on the best show
21:49and something I've watched on a sofa at home for years.
21:52So it just, it was also, I just can't believe it if I'm being brutally honest.
21:57It was just, just pride, joy and gratefulness to be in that position.
22:02Oh, and we're grateful to have you.
22:04We're so excited for you.
22:06Now, back to your performances on Saturday.
22:08You scored 39 for both dancers.
22:11I mean, not a bad shout.
22:14Do you have a favourite?
22:15Can you?
22:16Um, I loved the salsa, you know, cause that's, I think that is more of our like personality.
22:21Yes.
22:22But I think in terms of, I never believed in myself to do what I did in the waltz and he,
22:29Carlos, drew that out of me and I still can't believe that happened.
22:34So I think for personal reasons, I'm, I cannot believe that that happened for me.
22:39And I'm again, like grateful.
22:41Yeah.
22:42I mean, it was stunning to watch.
22:43You could really see the improvement, right?
22:45And through the series, especially in the waltz.
22:47Yeah.
22:48Well, you are officially finalist.
22:49I can't say it enough.
22:50I'm just so excited.
22:51Yes.
22:52Woo!
22:53But this week you do have three dances.
22:55Yeah.
22:56So it's not going to go easy.
22:57Okay.
22:58You made me feel.
22:59Woo!
23:00That's Inner Smile by Texas.
23:04Now this song will be particularly recognisable to football fans, especially anyone who loves
23:09Bend It like Beckham.
23:10Yeah.
23:11But what does it mean to you?
23:12To be fair, I'm a massive fan of Texas and friends with Charlene.
23:16And, um, yeah, it just, it's such a great song.
23:20And, uh, it's about like that inner smile, but for, I've just had such an outer smile
23:25on this experience.
23:26But for us, it's just go enjoy it.
23:29Like we're privileged to be in a final.
23:32Just go for it and just bring everybody on a journey on a party.
23:36Like it strictly is about joy.
23:38And like our aim is to always get people up and dancing at home and just have such a good time.
23:43That's what we're having.
23:44And it is such a banger of a tune and it's been sped up.
23:47Okay.
23:48So it's much faster.
23:49Oh yeah.
23:50So it's been, it's been turned into Karen.
23:52I would say.
23:53Karen speed.
23:54Yeah.
23:55Karen speed.
23:56Well, you said there that you and Charlene are very good friends and she's actually sent
23:59you a message.
24:00Oh no way.
24:01Kaz, you know, I love you.
24:03Carlos, you've been amazing to my friend, um, and guiding her.
24:07And, uh, I am so looking forward to seeing you both dance in the final.
24:12Can we say that again in the final to inner smile?
24:15Um, kill out the two of you.
24:17Love you both.
24:18Bye.
24:19Aww.
24:20That's amazing.
24:21Uh, Carlos, you are working though with Jake Lee again on the show dance.
24:25I know he did well for you the first time, right?
24:27Amazing.
24:28So any, can you tell us anything about the dance?
24:30I mean, you know, very, oh, there's one moment, it's very special actually, you told me today.
24:36Our starting, our starting post of the showdown is the ending post of a couple choice.
24:42No way.
24:43No way.
24:44And the ending post.
24:45And the ending post of our showdown is our promo picture, first picture we've ever took together.
24:48Yeah.
24:49Yeah.
24:50Yeah.
24:51That was amazingly thoughtful.
24:52It's, it's come full circle.
24:54It's just a full circle moment.
24:55I know.
24:56Wow.
24:57It was, it got me straight away.
24:58I was like, Jake, you're a genius.
24:59You, everyone at home now going, right, what was the photo like?
25:01Let me check the fingers.
25:02I know.
25:03Check the fingers.
25:04You know.
25:05It's just emotional.
25:06If I think of that, it's just like the dance going to be amazing.
25:09Yeah.
25:10Because he's thought of that detail even.
25:11Yeah.
25:12Well done, Jake.
25:13Yeah.
25:14Let's move on to your favorite dance now.
25:15You have picked your jive from week one.
25:18That's your favorite.
25:20Yeah.
25:21How excited are you to do the jive again?
25:22Yeah.
25:23I mean, I don't know how many people have picked their favorite for their week one dance.
25:26You know what I mean?
25:27Yeah.
25:28I don't know.
25:29We had no expectations on anything of our journey.
25:31That was so good.
25:32It was our first dance.
25:33We just smiled and full circle.
25:36Let's just end on the jive where we started our journey.
25:39Yeah.
25:40Our posture definitely can get better this time after 13 weeks of dance.
25:43Okay.
25:44Well, we've got a question that's come in for the two of you.
25:46Okay.
25:47All right.
25:48And it says, this is from Hannah and she says,
25:49Are you changing any of your choreo for your jive since it was so long ago?
25:54Are you changing it up?
25:55Doing anything different?
25:56No, we're staying.
25:57I think we're going to stay in original because we'll have to remember where we come from.
26:02Yes.
26:03Without that jive, we wouldn't be here.
26:04Oh, again, it's that full circle feeling, isn't it?
26:07Exactly.
26:08Like you're doing for the show dance.
26:09It's meant to be.
26:10I'm so grateful.
26:11Thank you very much.
26:12We loved it then.
26:13I cannot imagine what it's going to look like now after all these weeks of dance training
26:17that you've had.
26:18Carlos, you were the top of the leaderboard with the jive on week one.
26:20Yeah, we did.
26:21What are you hoping to improve on when you do it again now?
26:24I mean, first, I'm really glad.
26:26Actually, she remembered more step than I did.
26:28For the first try.
26:29I was like, great girl.
26:30Are you ready?
26:31Of course, because she's been dancing for over the last 12 weeks.
26:34Yeah.
26:35The details, the partnership we had definitely has improved.
26:38The way how we communicate with each other, with our bodies has improved.
26:41Her spin has improved.
26:43Her posture has improved.
26:45We're definitely going to imply all those details into the jive and make a jive to another level.
26:51I mean, she's going to be, her feet are going to be on fire, I reckon.
26:54I know.
26:55It's going to be on fire, for sure.
26:56Oh, my God.
26:57No pressure.
26:58Finally, the judges have decided that they would like to see your Argentine tango again.
27:03Yeah.
27:04Personally, one of my favourites from the two of you in the series.
27:06But, Kaz, that dance was the first time that you got your Strictly 10s on the show.
27:10It meant so much to you.
27:11So, what was your reaction like when you found out that you were actually doing it again?
27:14I am so happy, because it was a massive turning point, I think, for me on the journey.
27:18Because, I think for four weeks, I'd not really, I'd been stuck and wasn't really progressing.
27:23Yes.
27:24And then I put that hat on, and it's my favourite show, The Peaky Blinders.
27:27And I went in on that Monday, and I was like, I'm not letting my city down.
27:32It's a, to Birmingham, it's a nod to Birmingham.
27:34And I'm like, there's no way I'm letting the city down.
27:37And I was like, be more focused than ever, and it was a massive turning point.
27:40So, but after that, I'm not, I am going to lie, I nicked the hat.
27:44Did you?
27:45I nicked the hat.
27:46We won't have to.
27:47So, I never thought I'd get to this point where I'd do it again.
27:50So, I've got to try and find the hat again to pull it out.
27:54And I'm like, oh, I've got the hat, Vicky, don't worry.
27:57Did you find it?
27:59Yeah, I've got it.
28:00Oh, OK, we've got the hat.
28:01I've got it, so I'll have to bring it in.
28:03But I never believed we'd get to that point, so I nicked it.
28:06So, yeah, it's an honour to do it again.
28:09And it means a lot.
28:10I'm proud Birmingham girl.
28:12And to do it again, and my favourite show with my partner in crime.
28:16We're going to just enjoy it.
28:18Oh, you're going to be amazing.
28:19I know.
28:20I'm just so happy.
28:21Well, good luck at the weekend.
28:22We cannot wait.
28:23Let's do it now for Karen and Carlos.
28:25Finalists.
28:26Finalists.
28:27That's all for tonight.
28:28I'll be back tomorrow with a first look at all our finalists, show dances.
28:32Vicky Gill will be giving us a sneak peek at the outfits.
28:35Strictly's creative director, Jason Gilkison, is here to talk about his favourite dances,
28:40the series.
28:41And I'll be catching up with George and Alexis on making it through to the final, all from
28:456.30.
28:46Good night.
28:58What's it like being in the real Strictly?
29:00I'm unwritten, what's it like being in the real party?
29:01Who's going to be on the main triumph of the Strictly?
29:02Who's going to be on the mainèµ°?
29:03Who's going to be on the main triumph of the Strictly?
29:04Crap, who's going to be on the main smashing the wall of the Strictly?
29:05Who's going to be on the main half?
29:06Who's going to be on the main course of his favourite shows?
29:07I'll be happy to see you guys in the real verdadeirum.
29:08If you're a spider cat, you're maybe one at a time.
29:09And finally, it is a great character.
29:10You can get a map of the main journey.
29:11We're really lucky.
29:12You can get it all for the adventures of the Strictly.
29:13genere.
29:14That's a part of the hard work.
29:15You can get there too much.
