00:33There is a long pending request to run international flights to Gulf countries, to Kuwait and other Gulf countries, from Tirupati airport, sir.
00:41Our Tirupati MP also represented to Honorable Civil Aviation Minister, sir.
00:46Can I know from Honorable Minister the present status of this request and by when can we start international flights to Gulf countries from Tirupati airport
00:55as this decision will substantially reduce the financial burden on our people and will also reduce the inconvenience they are facing right now, sir.
01:06Honorable Speaker, sir, regarding international connectivity from the Raelseema area, I also come from that state of Andhra Pradesh,
01:12so I know exactly how important this issue is and we have been from the ministry pursuing on this issue with the airlines also
01:19and using the existing capacity between the two countries, especially to Kuwait, because when you talk about international travel,
01:26it is a bilateral agreement between both the countries on what destination should be allowed to be travelled.
01:32And we are totally trying from our side, from the ministry, as early as possible, we want to start the connectivity, sir.

02:09Sir, stating that in June 2022, after a competitive bidding process,
02:15Airport Authority of India has awarded one flying training organisation slot and the FTO slot at Kadapa Airport.
02:24This FTO is under process of construction and fulfilling other requirements for commissioning.
02:30Sir, may I please know when this FTO will begin at Kadapa Airport
02:34and may I also know by when the Kadapa Airport new terminal building which is under progress now,
02:40by when it will be inaugurated, sir?
02:44Sir, this is not related to the existing question, but I will answer both the questions that the Honorable Member has asked.
02:49One regarding the construction of the airport in Kadapa, we will be completing it by the end of March next year, sir.
02:54March 31st, 2026 is the expected date of completion for the airport.
02:58And regarding the flying training organisations, the ministry has been very, very focused on opening up more FTOs
03:05exactly for the reason that this country would be needing more pilots in the coming years
03:10based on the aircrafts that are going to come into the country.
03:13And also not only that, sir, we want to improve the FTOs that are there in the country to global standards
03:18so people from outside the country can also come and get trained here.
03:21It is exactly with this reason that this year we have opened four new FTOs in the country.
03:26And regarding the specific FTO that has been awarded before in Kadapa,
