00:00:41yes over 13 extraordinary weeks we've seen 125 couples dances light up the strictly ballroom

00:00:49we've shared the nerves breakthroughs and magic and now as the 23rd series draws to a close

00:00:55it all comes down to one final night three last dances and one last chance to give everything

00:01:02yes that is right in just 24 hours and 29 minutes our remaining three couples will set

00:01:10onto the floor for the biggest night of the competition all with one dream in mind to lift

00:01:15the glitter ball trophy whoa and of course it wouldn't be a final without these fabulous faces

00:01:22it's your strictly come dancing finalists yeah karen george and amber they're here tonight with

00:01:28their pros to talk about those pre-final butterflies and what it would truly mean to be crowned the

00:01:33strictly come dancing champions of 2025 and it may be the final but of course we couldn't resist

00:01:39one last friday panel joining us to share their thoughts on our strictly finalists it's dilly

00:01:45carter jenny ryan and reigning strictly champ chris mccoslin but let's not forget this series wouldn't

00:01:52be complete without the rest of the class of 2025 here's tasha guri catching up with some familiar

00:01:57faces in the ballroom and first up she's joined by vicky lavoie and alex it's so great to see you

00:02:04all again how does it feel to be back in your dancing shoes well i mean none of us are in adults

00:02:10trainers and an orthopedic boot but it's uh no it's lovely to be back to be back all together is

00:02:14heaven it's lovely i have to ask are the sparkles coming back yes i'm saving the sparkles for the

00:02:18finale you are not getting sparkles now unfortunately you've got to you've got to build these things up

00:02:23of course he's in the glamour and vicky you know you you've formed a really close bond with the

00:02:27finalists how does it feel to see them all together in the final honestly uh it's i wouldn't

00:02:33want to be like the person who has to make a decision because they're all so incredible and

00:02:37they're all so deserving obviously got a bit of a soft spot for george i have and i'm not calling

00:02:43any favorites but sounds like i just did there

00:02:46you had an amazing journey you know did the amazing tango your coppice choice was iconic what

00:02:56was your favorite moment you're so sweet honestly like i think i think for all of her when i see

00:03:00like every time you get on that dance floor it's just amazing isn't it um but yeah i think for me

00:03:05the tango was incredible top of the leaderboard was a moment i never thought it would be mine

00:03:10in something i'll remember forever so yeah and you've given us such amazing moments you pigeon lady

00:03:26what was your favorite performance um my i think it was passion for me was the passion for me that

00:03:38was a turning point when the fear would dial down just a little bit not completely gone and you

00:03:42suddenly go oh actually when you feel like you've really nailed it and you're with your partner it

00:03:45can be good fun yeah i think that was a nice turning point and you loved it i so loved it and

00:03:50it was interesting because you had it the week after yeah i know i hated it didn't you yeah i really did

00:03:54but you also you looked so amazing the costume of course it was halloween week yeah yeah gosh

00:04:00we started this in the summer and now it's christmas decoration

00:04:03well i heard for the grapevine you're closing it takes two tonight can you tell

00:04:08us a little bit more information i am i am performing my christmas number one hit

00:04:12magic of christmas i'm not a taylor swift fan because she knocked me off the number one

00:04:17well i knocked her off for about 30 seconds i've got the screenshot it's proof and i'm featuring

00:04:21some pros we've got neil kai and aliash doing something they said they've never done

00:04:26for anyone else on strictly ever before it's camp as christmas okay well i'm excited to see

00:04:32i'm sure it's going to be extra christmasy and alex how's it been how's it been reunited

00:04:37with jojo oh my gosh it's just oh it's amazing i just seeing his face and his smile and giving

00:04:44me a big hug and oh i'm i'm super excited to be back with jojo again i have to talk about

00:04:50your husband he's been doing salsa lessons in secret so he can dance with you yes he has he's

00:04:55been taking salsa lessons and he just finished yesterday his final lesson um and so um yes

00:05:00he's going to take me in the kitchen take me in the kitchen i mean he's going to take me for a spin

00:05:07in the kitchen perfect perfect clarity is always helpful i find in these situations

00:05:12thank you so much for chatting to me back over to you in the studio

00:05:20all right thanks tasha looking forward to seeing that kitchen salsa i'll say now for george joining

00:05:28strictly life meant swapping content creation for choreography stepping well outside his comfort

00:05:34hands-on but with alexis by his side that first daunting step quickly turned into a journey of

00:05:38growth laughs and plenty of hip action before i chat to them let's remind ourselves of george and

00:05:44alexis journey i just love a challenge i want to look back in 20 30 years and be like oh that was

00:05:50cool i did that it's both our first times we're in the same boat i don't know if we're in the same

00:05:56boat you can dance for someone that has never danced you have amazing potential

00:06:03could we be looking at a front runner here

00:06:08i think you really just have to sort of channel the whole meaning behind the strictly that is just

00:06:15let go of everything and just fully embrace it

00:06:18when we saw you at the beginning you know you look kind of reserved and you have come out of your shell

00:06:25i just want him to and fully embody that taking charge attitude no we just started i'm hoping i end

00:06:33up being a tango boy you are actually leading the dance even in the mistakes you recovered you're

00:06:40really impressing me oh what no i want you to kick your bum oh one it turns out the jive's quite hard

00:06:48don't growl i've seen this whole process as a sort of challenge for myself so when i can't do

00:06:54something it starts to get to me a little bit george cares so much and that's why he's getting frustrated

00:07:02i think you need to work on your consistency really concentrate when you're on the dance floor

00:07:09it just went a little bit like oh we ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard i am disappointed

00:07:15just hoping to sort of put things right this week

00:07:18i don't think you realize just how good you are i need you to believe in your soul that you can

00:07:25go far in this competition

00:07:27oh hello hey guys you're making yourself proud you're making your friends and family proud

00:07:33you guys are going to kill it i'm sure of it thank you man i think george can go all the way

00:07:37and i know deep down he knows that he can as well

00:07:40you want to feel that you believe in you we need to feel this and this is much more like it

00:07:48i loved it well done you

00:07:50my mum's going to be there on the night unfortunately recently she got diagnosed with cancer

00:08:01i tell her all the time about your lover there's one thing telling someone and then i guess this

00:08:06is more showing it so to give her this is special sometimes it's about the music the feeling and

00:08:16the message and you delivered it with all of you alexis is my hype man so when i don't believe in

00:08:24myself i think she always does i'm so proud of you george and alexis black hole 20 25 here we go

00:08:33i will leave you

00:08:34and you george that's your best dance so far those lifts were absolutely incredible you are the true star

00:08:44like i'm definitely seeing him grow and it's really special to watch

00:08:53you are controlling the dance the dance is not controlling you anymore

00:09:01this is the george i really love

00:09:04at the beginning i thought he does not care and you proved me completely wrong this choreography

00:09:12was not easy and you dance beautifully this dance was the best of you

00:09:19well done

00:09:20it means the absolute world for me to have made it to the final

00:09:27george has been the most incredible partner and he is a dancer now so that for me it just makes

00:09:35me such a proud teacher and proud friend my main thing throughout has been battling myself

00:09:44up until very recently i never had a lot of confidence i've realized what's the worst that

00:09:50can happen when someone sees you're trying your best and that's not something that's taught in a

00:09:55ballroom allotin textbook please welcome team walkie george and alexis we're emotional already

00:10:06we're emotional already it's been 13 weeks since you stepped out into the ballroom floor

00:10:12how do you feel when you compare george then to george now i i mean it's very different i mean

00:10:19watching that back now that was that was quite um i think i was very i mean alexis said it before

00:10:27i was very hesitant with everything i did i thought i was giving it everything because i was trying my

00:10:31best um but i think it was i was changing things in terms of technique i wasn't changing things in

00:10:40terms of internally like i need to give it more i need to just believe and go for it

00:10:45and i think you saw then in that sort of switch happened after the cha-cha in the viennese waltz and

00:10:51since then i've really loved every week and i think the main change wasn't anything that i applied in

00:11:01the changing room it was just more just changing room

00:11:07yeah yeah yeah i think that's something i'll take outside of the sort of ballroom and the changing

00:11:23room yes out of all the rooms alexis your first year as a strictly professional and you're in the

00:11:28final how does that feel oh yeah thank you it feels wild unbelievable just an absolute dream i

00:11:37cannot believe it but i feel so incredibly grateful honored just overwhelmed with just so much love and

00:11:46gratitude it's been the best experience yeah what a ride let's move on to your dances so you've chosen

00:11:52to repeat your week two paso you said the last time you did it was when dance felt fresh yeah um doing

00:11:57it out on the ballroom floor today how does it feel now it was weird it was like taking a step back in

00:12:03time because it was so long ago it felt like um like a bit of nostalgia which is weird considering

00:12:10it's literally the same series but yeah it was really just quite nice because i remember learning

00:12:18those steps then as i said it was it did feel so fresh and i remember really struggling with a lot

00:12:24of it but it feels much more natural and i wasn't aware i was changing much out there i was like i'm

00:12:31doing the steps what else do i need to do and you were like you've kind of done it yeah you're like

00:12:36it's within yeah you found it man you found whatever that thing is yeah for sure and the judges have

00:12:42called george a ballroom boy in the past and they've chosen you'll be an ease waltz for the final

00:12:47now george has grown in confidence so much and what has it been like doing this dance with him

00:12:51now with this george it's amazing because when we did the vini's waltz that was when a big shift

00:12:58in george's approach and how he saw himself and how he tackled trials changed and so even dancing it

00:13:06today it just was just as magical as the first and it's amazing to see him elevated and i feel like

00:13:12he's taking every step with more confidence and drive and it's really beautiful to be a part of

00:13:19yes and onto your show dance the final routine you've learned on strictly what went through your mind

00:13:24rehearsing it on the ballroom floor um i don't know it was it's i've tried i've tried not to think

00:13:31of it as like our last well our last new dance um but it's been really special just learning it

00:13:38because i think it's got much it's much more personal than a lot of the other dancers that

00:13:44we've done it it really does feel like it carries that weight of the journey um and i'm really happy

00:13:52with it yeah well we have seen your confidence blossom and grow throughout the series and the

00:13:56people closest to you have seen that too here's what they've made of your strictly experience

00:14:01oh george is such a special special person he was this shy nervous little boy in the corner

00:14:13and it's just so nice to see him blossom into this confident funny happy boy that he is now

00:14:21what i admire about him the most is he is just always 100 himself seeing my little georgie coming

00:14:30down the stairs it was absolutely incredible you sit back and think about it and you still can't

00:14:35believe it's him doing it i think it's given us all something to look forward to in quite a tricky

00:14:40end of our year as the experience has gone on george has definitely become more open and let his

00:14:48emotions out in the rumba that he honored mom with he was vulnerable i'm just so so unbelievably proud

00:14:58of him it's been lovely watching him embrace it each week and just grow and grow in confidence

00:15:05he's just learned that he is enough that's all you could ever want to see as a big sister

00:15:10i think he just now feels that actually can conquer anything good luck george and alexis have fun

00:15:18enjoy it you've got this just go for it we're all behind you put your everything into it and i know

00:15:26you will absolutely smash it

00:15:28you've made it through 12 weeks great scores zero dance-offs what would it mean to you to lift

00:15:40that glitter ball trophy um i don't think we've sorry um i don't think we've really thought about

00:15:49it and i've tried not to this week as well just because i thought that's why we've enjoyed the

00:15:55process so much because we've been so present and sorry this is awful for me because we've been so

00:16:02present um and just sort of focused on each week i've really enjoyed that um so it would it would be

00:16:12incredible to lift the glitter ball trophy it feels it's i've got like insane amounts of imposter

00:16:17syndrome just coming this far but i think no matter if we go home with the glitter ball or not

00:16:23it won't be sort of like a week of celebration afterwards because i think sunday and especially

00:16:30monday will hit incredibly hard just not going into this well let's not even think about that right

00:16:35now okay have the best time tomorrow enjoy every single minute of it it's george and alexis

00:16:41thanks fleur it's back to tasha who caught up with three celebs whose tricky journeys were short

00:16:52but sweet they're now back in the ballroom to perform one final dance it's stefan chris and ross

00:16:58hi boys lovely to meet you for the first time you too how's it feel to be back all together on the

00:17:03ballroom floor well i'm so surprised that i got a buy-in to the final which is great which is why i'm

00:17:09sweating because i mean the competition is fierce for me to come in at the final stage

00:17:13that's making it a little bit hard for us but it's great to be back with my my old pal steffi who

00:17:19i've known for so many years and my new pal chris because we're one big team aren't we yes the

00:17:23bands back together the bands back together and stefan how's it feel to be back with your fellow

00:17:27aussie diane oh absolutely brilliant you know for two reasons one because i just adore her and she's

00:17:32such a great teacher and become such a good friend but also she's so more pregnant

00:17:36the bumps growing isn't it and you know you left sadly due to an injury is there one dance you

00:17:43would have loved to have done um actually there's two i i would love to have done the tango but i

00:17:48the one my favorite i think that i wanted to do was the paso doble why is that why the paso

00:17:54just because it's so tight i want to say a manly dance but you can't say that can you it's just

00:17:59it's just a strong yeah it's a strong dance yeah give us a sign give us a sign

00:18:03and chris after you sorted your way out of week four you know what did you really enjoy about the

00:18:12whole experience you know what it was uh you met a load of people from different walks of life and

00:18:16we never would have met um but it's also having that kind of shared feel of going on the dance floor

00:18:20and challenging yourself and uh camaraderie between everyone like some of us we've been at a while

00:18:25but now we've come back and it's like nothing's changed um so we've had a laugh we get to dance

00:18:30again for the group number no pressure everyone's relaxed whereas normally we're all a little bit

00:18:34tense on the saturday friday and saturday uh but no it's great to see everyone again a little bit

00:18:38different when we did the launch show isn't it he's got taller it's the posture jojo posture oh yeah

00:18:45he's got great posture you know throughout the competition you really see this element of team

00:18:50spirits the former england would be captain what do you make of seeing that yeah it's that fear

00:18:55it's that fear it's the unknown the uncomfortable but also the joy this show brings so much happiness

00:19:01to people and i'm sure you guys have both witnessed it and experienced it you walk to a local coffee

00:19:05shop and kids or parents are talking about the show and how much happiness it brings them and it's

00:19:11uh yeah it's been an honor to be part of it it's so magical isn't it and ross you know it's been

00:19:1610 weeks since you did the competition last year i wouldn't say i've been out of a long time but the

00:19:20security stopped me trying to get into the studio said sorry who are you what are you doing here when

00:19:25i said i'm coming into dance i went no you're not how excited are you to be back though i am so excited

00:19:31again to see your vita my unbelievably brilliant partner she's just absolutely everything it's like

00:19:37as if we've never been away um i loved every single element of the show um no regrets no

00:19:44complaints whatsoever and just to show you how much i love this show this is so exciting i have

00:19:49actually bought my shirt that i did my first my cha-cha in look at that look at that i actually

00:19:55bought it today from wardrobe so this is this is going back to la with me so there we are my memory

00:20:00you won't look at a place at all and you get to keep that forever though which is super super

00:20:07special absolutely and and the memories i will keep forever and again just with you vita what we

00:20:12went through it was just such a beautiful time well thank you so much for chatting with me boys

00:21:23to the final what emotions are you feeling oh i i i literally just cried at the drop of a hat all

00:21:28week i found it quite emotional but when you get to the final like you just i think you just get to

00:21:33the point where you go i'm just going to enjoy it i'm just going to enjoy it because you can't be sent

00:21:36home you've completed it you've done it now yeah so just just enjoy it and have a laugh and if you

00:21:42have a laugh it'll look good on the telly won't it yeah exactly and dilly it's strictly is a staple

00:21:47in your household what are you going to do with your saturday's night is done re-watch it all again

00:21:51yes try on bbc i player yes yeah i know watch it all again why not exactly i mean it's been so

00:21:57emotional it's been such a roller coaster we were just saying hasn't it it's just been

00:22:00incredible this series so i'm gonna miss it i know and jenny 13 weeks later here we are

00:22:06in the final i mean what have you loved the most about the series um it's been quite risky hasn't

00:22:11it yeah it's been a bit deadly we've had injuries we've had you know people with bye weeks are they

00:22:16going to make it to the final so who knows what's going to happen tomorrow if if a lift goes wrong

00:22:21don't say that don't say that good luck good luck if it goes wrong they'll use the stairs

00:22:28all right let's talk about our finalists we're going to start with amber and nikita you can't help

00:22:33yourself but dilly your favorite dance of amber and nikita was a charleston that they did for

00:22:38musicals week why was it one of your favorites because musicals i'm obsessed with musical theater

00:22:43so seeing them on musical week i was crying literally i thought oh my god i think it was

00:22:48the standout performance of the series yes amber is just mesmerizing she really is she really is

00:22:54mesmerizing i just think she's just everything she does is insanely good and i just can't keep my

00:22:59eyes off her i know i'm so pleased she's in the final and jenny they've chosen their jive

00:23:03to come back and do again now it was a perfect score the first time around so what do they need

00:23:08to do to tina turn it up okay you're welcome everyone what do they need to do tomorrow night

00:23:15though can they make perfection even better they will have to pray to saint tina for just an extra

00:23:20little bit of sparkle because it was incredible i i was out of my seat dancing watching that at home

00:23:25me too it was so full of joy and it felt like you were invited to the party so just more of the same

00:23:32just bring us to the party just bring us to the party uh but chris three dances they need to

00:23:36rehearse this week how did you and diane allocate time this week in the final week for three numbers

00:23:42it's hard because like you lot when you're making the show you you've got to do this you've got to do

00:23:47the three vts you've got to do it and if you feel like do you realize we've got dances to learn is this

00:23:53is this show about dancing or is it about talking about dancing you know what chris just don't make it easy

00:24:00no but i i forgot how much you love to moan it's nice to have you back it's nice to have you back

00:24:08all right let me pick this up let's let's keep it calm all right let's go now to george and alexis

00:24:13we just had a lovely chat with them now but uh chris george and alexis are going to be doing their

00:24:17pasa doble that's the one they've picked to do again in the final this surely is a good dance to show

00:24:21george's fighting spirit right i mean listen uh speaking as the world's foremost expert on dancing

00:24:26um which is why i'm here i can i can tell you with authority the pasa doble is a load of nonsense

00:24:33who would pick that to do again it's it's it's not dancing it's like some kind of amateur dramatics

00:24:39kind of but chris it's about it's a fighting dance but it's not dancing is it okay right well well let's

00:24:46say a lot of people would disagree but we're gonna go with it anyway but jenny uh george's dances that

00:24:51stood out for you was a salsa that he did in blackpool yes what was it about blackpool why why that one

00:24:56i think this was the moment when we saw a little bit more of the real george like yeah he let go

00:25:03he's been very well placed he's learned all the steps and it's been very precise but this just

00:25:07looked like fun fun fun and he was selling it yes all the way really joyful it was a little hip moment

00:25:13as well oh he's having fun with that one all right let's now talk about karen and carlos dilly karen

00:25:19and carlos started this competition by topping the leaderboard on week one did you ever imagine that

00:25:24she was going to be in the final i don't think anyone ever imagined what her journey has been

00:25:28i feel like she is the epitome of what strictly is about she is what we love about strictly her growth

00:25:34her journey from where she started to where she is now gliding across the dance floor with elegance

00:25:40with grace she i just absolutely i'm so in love with her she's had such a journey and the loveliest

00:25:47loveliest loveliest loveliest person ever but chris she used to be your neighbor how fun is that i mean

00:25:51this is gonna do wonders for the house prices where we live if she can get that glitter ball because

00:25:57we met during lockdown we had the same communal garden and she lives around the corner but listen

00:26:01i mean karen's an amazing but you you really enjoyed the paso doble that she didn't black do you

00:26:05know what like i've taken the mickey out of the paso doble because i struggled to learn it with yeah

00:26:09you know i really struggled with that one myself she did a wonderful paso you know everyone was talking

00:26:14about it but it's it's the problem with having a wonderful blackpool is that you can't recreate

00:26:20those dances in the final like i loved our american smooth but you need the extra dancers to to recreate

00:26:26it you just need the magic of blackpool yeah so it's kind of like it's a one-time deal in it blackpool

00:26:32yeah it really is uh chris before you go and be nice okay how are you feeling about releasing the

00:26:39title strictly come dancing champion uh do you know what i've i'm i'm feeling good about it yeah i feel

00:26:46good you know because um you know it'll still um it'll still live long in you know i've still got

00:26:53the glitter ball at home and um i'm feeling good about it you know you can't keep out of it forever can

00:26:58you no we can't we have to move on chris but you know what you gave us some good memories yes exactly

00:27:35i think this is a very unique way to start a strictly journey but i feel like i can do it

00:27:42are you ready i'm ready

00:27:48welcome to the show i didn't think this was going to be my saturday night

00:27:52this is a dynamite package and i can't wait to see what you guys are bringing

00:27:57the fact that i've gone from a fan to a contestant in a night's sleep is the best feeling in the world

00:28:07i loved loved loved that

00:28:15you had fluidity throughout and that six o'clock ponche darling was oscar winning

00:28:21teaching amber to dance is really really rewarding i love spending time with her

00:28:31she's working so hard every week

00:28:36the more emotionally invested we get and the harder we work the more you don't want it to slip through

00:28:42your fingers i just want a little bit more ooze and fluidity and flexibility so a little bit stock for me

00:28:51being in the dance-off was one of the worst feelings i felt it reminds you that this experience can

00:29:01end so quickly i'm going to embrace every single second of it

00:29:08your movement across the floor is it squizz it it's big and it's bold i loved it

00:29:14i love being here i'm besotted with the whole experience and i need to have fun

00:29:22there's nothing to say after that that was absolutely spectacular

00:29:33amber she's improving week by week she's slowly becoming ballroom and latin queen

00:29:41the drama and that was absolutely magnificent i thought it was brilliant

00:29:45to have made it this far is a dream come true nikita is so confident that i can be the best version of

00:29:58myself every single week to see her shine every single week to see her come out of her shell

00:30:06i'm really really proud of her your performing is outstanding your footwork was outstanding you were

00:30:12sensational

00:30:23it's just one of the most incredible feelings i don't think i've ever been as fulfilled than being on

00:30:32strictly

00:30:35you amber an absolute star in every sense of the word

00:30:40it doesn't matter where you are on the leaderboard me and akita got a 40 but we're in the dance-off

00:30:55i hit every single emotion possible

00:31:01it's every little girl's dream to make it to the strictly come dancing final

00:31:06it's been so incredible and yet so tough all at the same time

00:31:11i didn't think strictly would come into my life and it has been a blessing

00:31:19nikita has brought the best version of me to the surface and it has just given me such a boost of

00:31:28confidence to see her progress each week to see her smile to see her enjoy her time on the dance floor

00:31:37it's been the best reward in the world it's honestly been the greatest few months of my life

00:31:48and i'll never ever forget them

00:32:07finalists if you could rewind to day one what would you say to yourself you're gonna have the best

00:32:14experience of your life and go for it go for it you're gonna meet an incredible human and you're

00:32:20gonna have the best experience of your life yes we touched on this a little on tuesday showing nikita

00:32:24but this is your second time in the final how does it compare though given the unique start of

00:32:29your journey with amber i never really come to another one no i'm good thank you guys no more tears

00:32:36no more tears i don't believe you for a second why do you think i have them here next to me instead of

00:32:43down there um no i i i don't compare nothing and so i think it's completely different experience uh i think

00:32:51with amber we kind of just took i don't know if by experience by being on the show already because

00:32:57i've seen quite some time uh but i really tried to apply to us the rule of just taking one week at

00:33:03the time yeah and i feel like we generally lift every single week because everything came as a

00:33:09price and we sort of cherish that one week as is the last one every single week yes well let's talk about

00:33:14tomorrow night you've both chosen to repeat your week 10 jive your first 40. yeah you wanted to

00:33:19bring the positive vibes to this start how did it feel rehearsing at the ballroom again today a little

00:33:25bit easier honestly okay because when we did it um in week 10 i had a bit of a cold i couldn't breathe

00:33:31through my nose do you remember yeah so i actually had full lungs and full nostrils today oh that's a

00:33:37that's a good sign it was really positive positive experience it was lovely it was lovely we were

00:33:45having loads of fun weren't we i'm still thinking about your nostrils well moving on from the nostrils

00:33:51the judges have picked your week eight pasadoble yeah after having the chance to refine it how confident

00:33:57are you that this is going to be a dream on saturday night we love the dance don't we yeah we love the

00:34:02drama we love the drama it's a complete different energy than our other two dances which is nice

00:34:09because we can tap into like a different us you know um so we can give a bit of everything

00:34:16well finally a show dance which you'll be performing to rain on me lady gaga ariana granite great song

00:34:21i know what do you want one of your last performances on the ballroom floor to say

00:34:26oh for me it's i don't want it to say anything i want us to be present and have fun yeah i want us

00:34:34to put ourselves in the bubble go for it whatever happens if we go wrong we go wrong if we miss a lift

00:34:41we miss a lift i just want it to be me and this incredible man on that dance floor having a bowl

00:34:48amid the noise the support of those closest to you has never wavered through the highs or the lows

00:34:54they've been right there and here's what they have to say oh gosh issues coming

00:34:59amber as a person is just the most amazing girl she's full of life she's full of fun as a child

00:35:09she grew up um always performing i don't think she can believe herself she's on strictly

00:35:17as the competition's gone on she's definitely grown in confidence she gets better and better

00:35:24every week and i just love it she's made my life worth living

00:35:31i look at her on that dance floor and i cannot believe that she's mine

00:35:37she's really surprised me and like how strong she has been the whole time

00:35:43amber always takes everything in her stride she deals with it as it pops up and she just amazes me

00:35:49she really does amber and nikita's partnership is is a beautiful one the first time i met him and i

00:35:55just said listen nikita thank you for looking after my daughter gosh you know i know she's in safe hands

00:36:05with you whatever happens we're so very proud of her amber and nikita we're wishing you all the luck in

00:38:27dots off for fun yeah no going to home on the tour it's all fun and all good but i think because

00:38:34it's so a privilege and ellie happy birthday for yesterday you know team cheeky have been doing

00:38:40amazing dances on social media every week it's been so beautiful to see how's it feel to be back in the

00:38:45ballroom it was quite great to be back in the ballroom but to be fair it's quite good and nothing with

00:38:53harry and jimmy everyone like equal i've been with philto oh my best guy in the world

00:39:02what a good pairingship great partnership i don't want this to end you have a beautiful partnership and

00:39:08you've had amazing performances what was your favorite one ellie so tango for halloween week was a

00:39:14lovely series have a halloween week i like the charming one and i think i like my drive

00:39:22yeah the child was amazing yeah it's great and you know jimmy we have a fellow professional athlete

00:39:28in the final how does it feel to see cars doing a thing in there well absolutely amazing and she's

00:39:34doing absolutely amazing we stayed in touch hearing their text messages um powering her on um very proud

00:39:43of her obviously i knew her from before we have worked together so for me to see her in the final

00:39:51yes well done and have a hassle banks been keeping up with the series of course of course we have watched

00:39:57every week um every uh program if i could not make it at home they taped it and they didn't watch it

00:40:06they waited until i was home so we watch it together so that's what we do so uh yeah uh stayed in touch

00:40:15nothing better than family time right exactly exactly and strictly has always been in our family so

00:40:19uh we kept it going and harry i have to ask you are we going to be seeing hip action tomorrow night

00:40:25are you going to be seeing the hips it's there it's there only a little bit only a little bit

00:40:31i can see it you still got it you still got it and have you still been doing dances with your daughter

00:40:35ever since oh gosh i've been dancing so much more with my daughter you'd think that she'll

00:40:38dance more with my daughter than karen but we've loved it we genuinely appreciate everything

00:40:43stripy has given us and it carries on you know that's beautiful to see and thank you so much for

00:40:47chatting to me enjoy it tomorrow go out there dance away back to you in the studio

00:40:53thank you so much tasha now karen and carlos entered the competition with a bang storming to

00:40:59the top of the leaderboard in week one and with that early victory everyone wondered could this lioness

00:41:05keep it up but with carlos as her perfect teammate these two tackled every challenge head-on and danced

00:41:11their way into the final let's take a look at karen and carlos's strictly journey i want to live and

00:41:18breathe every single moment of this however uncomfortable i might feel my goal is for karen

00:41:26to transform from caterpillar into butterfly in all the years of my being on this show i have never seen

00:41:34a female dancer be able to do that i don't think i've ever seen myself that happy since i played look i get emotional

00:41:48i would describe myself as shy and not confident but this is why i was doing strictly to put myself out there

00:41:54this week i could feel the nerves with everything that you did oh

00:42:03yeah carlos is really supportive really encouraging surf to wait i want to see that yeah

00:42:10it was spiky you have fantastic potential i don't want you to lose faith in that

00:42:16walk walk nice seeing how much she's pushing herself her commitment is everything

00:42:24there was a little bit of gapping but some of the footwork here was much much better well done

00:42:31i realized i love dancing on that dance floor every week i learn more about myself

00:42:37i love the leg action that you use that's really difficult to get you just need to be

00:42:42more confident and let your body go beautiful i'm really looking forward for the judges to see

00:42:50that a karen is improving i've worked relentlessly hard we've got to nail the performance

00:42:57tonight you've gone i'm back everybody this was extraordinarily good

00:43:07i think i've started to grow in confidence and show a different side to people at home away from football

00:43:14you just have this type of energy that is contagious ten one two three one two nice learning to dance

00:43:27with carlos has been an absolute joy

00:43:34you need a lot more expression in your arms and hands but you know i just adore this partnership

00:43:40you have no idea how hard you've been working this week making you feel i do not have a pedal that

00:43:48can express how good that dance was no one will dance better than that you are wonderful

00:44:00sickly's made me not have to wear like an armor it's helped my confidence so much i can be my true authentic

00:44:07self

00:44:08i'm on top of the world i love a strong woman i mean we watched you develop from the beginning of the

00:44:14competition you are a superstar hey it is your first ever 40 for both of you thank you

00:44:26you are quite the force to be reckoned with in my opinion i don't know life without dancing

00:44:33anymore you've got out there and you thought i'm giving everything i'm capable of

00:44:43i never thought you could do that quality that sensitivity this is your journey

00:44:49oh carlos oh thank you for being everything

00:44:58my strictly experience has been

00:45:04life-changing

00:45:04she never took anything for granted i am really really proud of karen

00:45:15carlos it's made me believe in myself he's my dream partner

00:45:24we will always be there for each other and being you karen khan is enough

00:45:40for your confidence yeah so what has this experience given you and how has it changed the way that

00:45:45you see yourself um i mean that's emotional wasn't it um i think strictly has given me joy

00:45:52it's given me so much happiness i beam every single day i've got teammates that i haven't had for six

00:46:02seven years and i walk into it takes too strictly to the training rooms everything and with this guy

00:46:08i feel like i've got a team and i'm so grateful for that like i can't articulate that enough oh my gosh

00:46:17and carlos you have been in this position before

00:46:19uh what have you taken from your past experience and carried through to this time around

00:46:24um i mean that was my first year actually i didn't know much about the show i just know how to come

00:46:29in and give everything i was a bit of uh self-centered i was like i was strict as a teacher

00:46:36and molly she was incredible as my first partner but this time i've learned so much about being a human

00:46:42and um but because of this woman and to to be a team player and to be a grounded person and to be a

00:46:51better person and to grow out and help each other ups and downs has the biggest biggest lesson i've

00:46:58learned through this journey yeah and when you look back to week one how has this partnership changed and

00:47:04evolved through the last few weeks i think um like i just i'm with him he's my partner and you know we

00:47:12were two people that never met and maybe we would never have connected and i have got to know and grow

00:47:20and to love and to adore this human and dancing's aside like i can talk to him about anything connect

00:47:26to him we can have long chats we can you know we chat in the car and i know he's desperate to sleep

00:47:31and i just want to talk to him but he's he's such a special person and he's tried to build my confidence

00:47:38and in that he said our karen karni is enough but i've said a lot to him this week being carlos

00:47:44gu is enough because it's a team and you know he's had his struggles and it's not easy being away from

00:47:50home and i've learned so much about him as a human being and he's enough and and we are a team and

00:47:56we stick together through thick and thin and we have developed over the course as a team

00:48:01oh there's tissues here carlos we know what you're like come here baby we got you

00:48:07but right let's talk about your dances that you're going to be doing tomorrow because you've got some

00:48:10good ones coming up we're going to start with the jive now the first time around karen you needed to

00:48:15bounce a ball yeah because you were that nervous about it yeah are you a bit calmer the second time

00:48:19around no no okay no i did it again today in the because i mean i don't know how many

00:48:26people that are fortunate to get to the final would ever pick their first dance it was 13 weeks ago

00:48:32and you know it's trying to remember it and to try and do you know three dances so i'm a little bit

00:48:38nervous about it but we'll just give it well you just keep bouncing that ball you'll be fine you'll be

00:48:42fine but now let's go to the judges pick they picked your argentine tango carlos you scored a 38 the

00:48:47first time around after rehearsing it today in the floor how confident are you about tens across the

00:48:53board i mean to be really frankly uh karen she did does so much better this time i was so proud

00:49:00and she implied some techniques that she learned along the way and in the past 12 weeks she's been

00:49:06danced yeah and she did it so well and and she was so calming too and to be able to do an argentine

00:49:12tango in a such calm energy is a gift so i'm i'm very positive yeah nice good and now the show dance now

00:49:20you said to me earlier in the week that this felt like a full circle moment for you this number

00:49:24so when you rehearsed it earlier today in the studio did you feel like oh my gosh look how far

00:49:28we've come what thoughts came to mind um don't get it wrong um but no like i i love it i love the track

00:49:36the choreography again from jake who we absolutely adore and it's just an upbeat song and i just think

00:49:41it's perfect for us we just go after it go get it enjoy it smile yes celebration celebration we're

00:49:47speaking of go get it uh you've traded the pitch for the ballroom and you have really pushed yourself

00:49:52and those that have been really close to you have seen it too so oh wow here's what they've made of

00:49:56your strictly journey karen is a very shy young lady she's very sweet so for myself and mom to watch her

00:50:06go out there and to perform the way she has for me it's incredible and i'm really really proud of her

00:50:12when she was in my class she was just a very kind sharing person she's someone that i reach out to

00:50:20regularly to ask advice she's just a great part of the family and another person you can rely on

00:50:27we first saw karen kamaric we had no idea how good the dance was going to be

00:50:32and she was absolutely amazing she just reminded me of that little six-year-old girl full of

00:50:38enthusiasm but anxious at the same time one of the standout dances for me was karen's couple's choice

00:50:45for her to say that was for me it was so sweet and especially at the end when she blew me a kiss and

00:50:51gave me the heart that was quite emotional for me every part of this has changed her personally and

00:50:59professionally as well she's just such a positive role model we're so proud of you and you're going

00:51:06to make us even prouder bring us back another trophy karen keep doing what you've done all series and go

00:51:12and enjoy it you've got this i'm really really so proud of you i'm proud to be your mom i can't say

00:51:23anymore sorry what are you trying to do to us i know because win tomorrow and you will be the first

00:51:35footballer ever to lift the glitter ball trophy what would that mean to you um i i don't know if

00:51:43i'm honest i honestly handle my heart i feel like i've already won like forever honestly like this

00:52:57like hi it does feel weird after being so full on for like months and months and months to then

00:53:03stopping but it's quite nice being back now yeah yeah yeah ready to do the last little show well on that

00:53:09note bow you know what's it been like reuniting with everybody on the dance floor ah it's been

00:53:13wicked it's just taking me right back to the beginning but then we've had this whole lifetime

00:53:18of experience um and we've all come back as better dancers um you know and it just feels it feels really

00:53:26wonderful to just finish it off in that way i think it would have been really harsh if we didn't have

00:53:30this moment together just to sign it off i think yeah yeah it's a nice way to end it absolutely

00:53:35strictly family coming back together for one last time and lewis will your family be watching the

00:53:39final on saturday night yeah so we're obviously doing a big group routine as well so they'll still

00:53:44get together and they'll watch it and they'll celebrate it because it's been a big part of their

00:53:48lives as well for the last couple of months so and with the big family i have to ask you are you doing

00:53:53a secret santa or have you bought everybody presents well there's about 50 of us so um so we

00:53:58do do a secret santa yeah it's just a lot easier we can't be doing that many presents it does sound a

00:54:03lot easier yeah and with the group number is there anything you can give us a little tease what to

00:54:07expect um i think you'll see a little bit of everything that we've um experienced on our journey

00:54:13so we're going to give you a nice variety um and it's going to be obviously quite banging and um in your
