00:00Woo-hoo!
00:03The Hammonds are here!
00:05Travel is in my blood.
00:07Let's go!
00:08This is the best!
00:09For years I worked as a tour rep,
00:11following in the footsteps of my dear lovely mob,
00:14a hard-working, no-nonsense travel agent.
00:17Thanks to our money-saving tips,
00:19we managed to budget our way to a place that totally captured our hearts.
00:23Look at this! Look at this!
00:25Florida!
00:26I love it!
00:27I was born for Little Havana.
00:30And now the Sunshine State is a big draw for me.
00:34Sorry, I stood on your foot.
00:35And my son, Aidan.
00:37Good job, y'all.
00:38Can you see you, mate?
00:39Yeah.
00:41But with holiday prices rising...
00:43Oh, my goodness. I'm in heaven.
00:46Can you do Florida...
00:48...without breaking the bank?
00:50$4.99 for these.
00:52Oh, yes, Aidan!
00:54Oh, yes!
00:55Help you, Mum.
00:56Otherwise, just get out.
00:58It's the best day of my life.
01:06OK, bub.
01:07We are here.
01:08If I could be any place out of all the cities in Florida,
01:11I'd love this city to be me.
01:14It's got glamour and gorgeousness.
01:17It's got year-round sunshine.
01:21And check out those beaches.
01:24It's my kind of city.
01:26It's Miami.
01:28How nice is this?
01:30Yeah.
01:31Why, it is so cool.
01:33Over 50 million tourists come here every year.
01:37It's home to the world's busiest cruise port,
01:39and with its close ties to the Caribbean and Latin America,
01:43it's known as the gateway to the Americas,
01:45a fast and furious hub for art, culture and fashion.
01:49And although I love celebrity chit-chat and a pool-side party
01:54as much as anyone,
01:56I'm not here for the glitz and the flashy surface layers.
01:59Oh, no.
02:00I'm here to get under the sun-kissed skin of this city.
02:05So, me and Aidan are downtown to show you the Miami-easy-isms.
02:10I might have just created a new word there.
02:12View of the city.
02:14Now, the aim, you know it, babes,
02:16to keep a lid on the costs.
02:19When I say the word Miami to you, what do you think of?
02:22Clubs.
02:23Yeah.
02:24And beaches.
02:25Yeah.
02:26It's all of that.
02:27Yeah.
02:28But I want to experience, like, the real Miami.
02:29This is one of the most diverse cities in the whole of the world,
02:32so I want to really know what it's like to experience Miami
02:36with the people.
02:37Let's do it.
02:38Yeah.
02:39And let's start as we mean to go on, shall we?
02:41No flash car for us.
02:43No stretch limo.
02:44Because Miami is pricey enough to get around as it is.
02:47Cab costs here are London and New York prices,
02:50so we're playing it smart.
02:52We've done our research and found a free way to get around the city.
02:57With a trolley tracker app on our phone,
02:59we can keep track of Miami's famous and completely free trolleybuses.
03:03And although they don't go everywhere...
03:06Well, afternoon, welcome.
03:07Thanks, mate.
03:08We've heard they're surprisingly handy for exploring some of Miami's iconic neighbourhoods.
03:13Are you OK?
03:14Oh, my God.
03:15It's so beautiful.
03:16Where should we sit?
03:17Should we have?
03:18Yeah.
03:19Look at the wooden chairs.
03:20It's also quite stylish.
03:22So nice.
03:23Yeah, lovely.
03:24Look at the windows.
03:25I love the nostalgic design.
03:26The little brass and glass touches here and there are all to evoke the look of vintage streetcars from 100 years ago,
03:35taking you back to a time when streetcars were the main mode of transport in cities all across America.
03:41Well, I really feel like I'm travelling like the locals now, Aidan.
03:44Yeah, I do.
03:45Where are we going?
03:47We are off to Little Havana, which is like this small, beautiful Cuban community, slap bang in the centre of Miami.
03:57We're leaving Miami's high-flying financial district and heading down southwest 7th Street.
04:04And you can feel the city changing.
04:06It's bye-bye Wall Street, hello the roads.
04:09A neighbourhood of quiet avenues, gorgeous old houses and old school Miami charm.
04:15The trolley bus isn't the quickest way to travel.
04:18It does go round the houses a bit.
04:20But that just adds to it for me.
04:22We're passing through parts of Miami most tourists never see.
04:26And meeting Miami-ums we'd never normally meet.
04:29Like this dude.
04:30I wonder where he's going.
04:32The shops, the library, to get a super strong cup of coffee.
04:36Maybe all three.
04:38So what type of people do you get on here?
04:40Are they going to work?
04:41Are they going home?
04:42What are they doing?
04:43Right.
04:44Most of the people are, during the weekdays, just going to work or shopping.
04:47You get a lot of senior citizens and everything like that.
04:50But on Fridays and Saturday nights, because it goes down Little Havana at your hotel,
04:56you get all the drunks coming on.
04:58Really?
04:59And the driver sees them and he knows them.
05:01It's humorous.
05:02Is it?
05:03Yes.
05:04I can imagine some colourful scenes on this bus.
05:06But you know you're living in a close-knit community when, after a lively night out,
05:11you get a free trip home on a bus that's probably going to be driven by one of your mates.
05:16I love the fact that this is absolutely free of charge.
05:19No money.
05:20Anyone can get on.
05:21It is and it's a good idea.
05:23I think it allows not only the local population, but tourists too, to get a real taste.
05:29Yeah.
05:30Yeah.
05:31As you'd expect on a bus heading to Little Havana, there's a lot of Cubans hopping on.
05:36About a third of the population of Miami has Cuban roots.
05:40But there's loads of other Latin Americans in the city too.
05:44And they're all locals.
05:46Mexicans, Nicaraguans.
05:48A lot of different people.
05:49Obviously a lot of people from like Haiti, Puerto Rico, Americans themselves.
05:53And that's what makes Miami so beautiful.
05:55It's a cultural mix over here.
05:56And that's one thing I like and that's another thing that I feel like you'll find when you
06:00come over here.
06:01Thank you for talking to me and I'm really looking forward to Little Havana.
06:03No problem.
06:04Thank you very much.
06:05Nice to meet you.
06:06Thank you so much.
06:07Crossing the Miami River, we're now on the edge of Little Havana.
06:10The streets are buzzing a bit more now and the colours on the walls are starting to pop.
06:15There you go.
06:16Look how colourful it is.
06:17Oh yeah.
06:18Let's go.
06:19I'm ready for a cool taste of Cuba, Miami style.
06:24Oh, this looks amazing.
06:28This is Calle Ocho, Little Havana's main street where the coffee and cigars are as strong as the accents.
06:36And the music will have you doing a salsa before you've even touched your second cafecito.
06:41I can feel the streetly rhythm it's going to get me.
06:44This street is alive with the sights, sounds and flavours of Cuba.
06:48It's full of little walk-up bars and cafes, all offering a much cheaper way to eat and drink than a sit-down restaurant.
06:56Oh, it's there. No, it's at the end.
06:58Oh.
06:59So we're on our way to a juice bar to meet up with our local guide for the day.
07:03Hello.
07:04Miss Alison, Mr. Aidan, I presume.
07:07Yeah.
07:08Our head of Cuban resources, Ralph de la Portilla.
07:12We want to get involved with the locals and stuff like that, so I want to know what you're drinking.
07:16My goodness, you do need to cool off in this tropical heat and humidity of Miami.
07:22This is mango juice.
07:24It is literally just the pulp of mangoes that grow freely in our backyards here in tropical Miami.
07:30Wow.
07:31Would you like a couple?
07:32Oh, yes, please.
07:33Let me treat you to a couple.
07:35Carolina, can you bring us two more juices, please?
07:38This fruiteria is run by Guillemina Hernandez, the grandmother of Little Havana, who's been
07:47making some of the best fruit juices in town for the last 60 years.
07:52In 1963, when Carolina first opened this bar, a wave of Cuban immigrants were flooded into Miami, and most never left.
08:01This is where the first Cuban exiles or refugees that fled the Castro brothers' Cuban revolution 65 years ago landed and started their new lives and their adopted new nation, okay?
08:13And opened up their businesses along this mean drag, if you will.
08:18Oh, well, I love it here.
08:19I'll tell you, as far as an American ethnic enclave, I dare say it is terminally unique.
08:28One of the coolest streets, at least in North America.
08:31Thank you very much.
08:35Thank you, Joshua.
08:36Cheers.
08:37Think of the mango juice as the Cuban equivalent of a copa.
08:40Hola.
08:41Hola.
08:42Both have restorative powers, giving you a boost just when you need it.
08:48And Aidan's going to need it more than me now, because he's on a mission to spruce up his image and get some Cuban tailoring.
08:55You look great.
08:57Okay.
08:58But, um, I think some classic Cuban wear might be in order.
09:02Hey, let's do it.
09:03Follow me.
09:04Yeah.
09:05A bit like his mom, Aidan's always on the hunt for that perfect look.
09:10They say you've got to dress for the life you want, right?
09:13Well, in that case, Aidan's going to need a cool Cuban shirt, a guayabera.
09:19So, wait till you get a load of this space.
09:21Wow.
09:22So, Ralph's taking us to meet a man who's been dressing locals, tourists and even celebs in authentic Cuban styles for decades.
09:31Well, here's the man himself.
09:33Mr. Fidel Asis Lopez.
09:35Welcome.
09:36These are my two friends from London.
09:38Pleasure to meet you.
09:39Lovely to meet you.
09:40Fidel.
09:41Fidel's store has been here since the 70s, and while people come here mainly for the clothes, the hats and the shoes,
09:48whether they ask for it or not, they get a big dose of Fidel as well.
09:53Well, I'm going to leave you to him.
09:55Thank you very much.
09:56Yeah, I'm going to leave you too.
09:57There we go.
09:58See you later.
09:59Where are we going?
10:00Right here.
10:01Let's go.
10:02Aidan might have come here for a guayabera, but I have a feeling he's going to get more than he bargained for.
10:07This is your classic Cuban guayabera.
10:10This is the four pockets that they've been using since the 1820s, but now we have come here.
10:15This is a guayamisa.
10:16Why?
10:17This is, instead of the four pockets, the younger guys prefer two pockets.
10:21Okay.
10:22And it's cut a lot slimmer.
10:23Because the younger guys don't want to dress like their grandfathers.
10:26Right, okay.
10:27So we have stuff for them also.
10:28So what was the reason of the four pockets?
10:30Basically, in 1820, a Cuban farmer marries a seamstress.
10:34Okay.
10:35He used to pick guayas in buckets.
10:37She comes out with this shirt and says, no more buckets.
10:40From now on, you put your guayas here.
10:42He says he was happy with that.
10:43What are these for?
10:44These are for your cigars.
10:45Right.
10:46So now you have a place for your cigars, your guayas.
10:48And if you look, she took it a bit further.
10:51This slid on the sides.
10:53The only weapon he had in the 1820 was a machete.
10:55Right.
10:56So now he has a place to put his machete.
10:58Slides it in there.
10:59Exactly.
11:00Well, there's a shirt that makes food and cigar shopping a great deal easier.
11:05And Aidan's well and truly hooked now.
11:07Tell me a little bit about hats.
11:09The hats?
11:10Everyone's got a hat.
11:11All the Cubans, mostly the gentlemen and the other far, they wear.
11:14So what we do is we put all the hats together.
11:17Okay.
11:18Not only to match the pants, but the jacket and the whole outfit.
11:21It's all a look.
11:22It's all got a match.
11:23It all has to match.
11:24I like Fidel's style.
11:26So far, he's given Aidan a fashion lesson and a history lesson.
11:30But I think this is really a lesson in expert salesmanship.
11:34Wonderful.
11:35Come here.
11:36All right.
11:37Yeah, it looks good.
11:38So you hide this button here.
11:39Okay.
11:40You always leave it open.
11:41So when you sit down, you don't kill something.
11:43This hat, you don't wear it like a bucket.
11:45Okay.
11:46Like this.
11:47Put it here in your brow.
11:49Do the cocoa.
11:50Exactly.
11:51There you go.
11:52See the look?
11:53Have a little look.
11:54It's very elegant.
11:55How do you feel?
11:56I feel good.
11:57He's got his hat, his shoes, his pants or trousers if we're being British.
12:01And finally, what every non-smoking man needs.
12:04And then this completes a whole look.
12:06It's actually a clave.
12:07Clave.
12:08Every Cuban beat, you'll hear this.
12:10And this is a clave.
12:12This is a clave.
12:13So for the young guys who don't smoke cigars, we want to give you this authentic look.
12:17So here you are with your two-tone shoes.
12:19Amazing.
12:20The Cuban hat, the guayabera and the cigar.
12:22I like it.
12:23I like the idea of replacing the cigar with a clave.
12:27But I have one slight problem with the whole outfit.
12:30You look a bit like you're a chef.
12:32Really?
12:33Chef White's.
12:34A pop of colour I need.
12:35Yeah.
12:36So, much as I love Gordon Ramsay.
12:38You go with this.
12:39Okay, let's do it.
12:41It's off with the guayabera and on with the blue guayamisa.
12:45I'm enjoying this.
12:46So much fun.
12:48The younger Cuban look.
12:50Oh, yes.
12:51Do you like this one?
12:52I do like it.
12:54Goes with the dress.
12:55It's different.
12:56I like it.
12:57Guayamisa.
12:58I like it.
12:59Yeah.
13:00So much younger.
13:01And you wear this a lot lower, yeah?
13:02Yeah, they leave it open.
13:03Cubans leave it open with the jewellery and the hairy chest.
13:04That's extra.
13:05They don't have that.
13:06He needs a hairy chest as well.
13:07Yeah.
13:08Do you know what?
13:09It wouldn't surprise me if Fidel had some hairy chest wigs out the back.
13:12But Aidan won't need one because Fidel's got one final look up his Cuban sleeve.
13:17A whole ensemble that he reckons might be just what Aidan's been searching for.
13:25Oh, I love this one.
13:27This is so you.
13:28You like this one?
13:29Look at these shoes.
13:30Oh, it really looks lovely.
13:31It goes with your brown skin.
13:33The hat.
13:34The hat's nice.
13:35The hat is more, instead of a Cuban, it's more like a bucket hat.
13:38OK.
13:39OK, a lot of Cuban musicians, they don't wear their hats tilted.
13:43They wear it just like that.
13:44Like this.
13:46I think Aidan's made his decision.
13:48I just hope he's got a lot of DJ bookings lined up and plenty of guavas to pick so he
13:53can actually afford it.
13:55But I reckon he's made the right choice.
13:57And the outfit looks even better outside, next to Fidel's classic cars.
14:03I can't tell you how lovely you look.
14:05Thank you very much.
14:06You really look so nice.
14:07How did you find the whole experience?
14:09I loved it.
14:10The experience was really good.
14:11Actually, it was like having a personal shopper look.
14:13And also learning about what each pocket does and each meaning of how it was made,
14:18what things were for back in them days.
14:20It was lovely actually.
14:21It was like a history lesson with also a personal shopper.
14:25And then you end up with the whole outfit.
14:27Now that you wear this outfit, you're actually wearing the history as well.
14:30Well, you're looking good, Bob.
14:32You are looking good.
14:33Thank you very much.
14:34Cuba is just 220 miles from Miami.
14:41So when Fidel Castro turned Cuba into a communist country in 1959, many Cubans hopped across the
14:49Straits of Florida to the US of A. And most of them settled in the Miami area, here in
14:57Little Havana and nearby Hialeah.
15:01Not just because of the cheap housing and the jobs, but because of the community here.
15:06Places where Cubans could keep speaking Spanish, shop in familiar stores and of course,
15:12enjoy a bit of that Latino flavour in everything from the food to the music.
15:22So as we've had a taste of Little Havana and got the whole Cuban look sorted,
15:27I reckon it's about time we mastered some Latino moves.
15:32We've heard that this is the place to get a salsa lesson.
15:35That's perfectly in step with our budget.
15:38Because it's free.
15:40Our teachers are Isabella Amor and Salsa Supremo, Rene Rodriguez.
15:45This is an iconic Miami venue.
15:47Originally in the 50s, it was actually a jazz venue.
15:50But in recent years, it's become one of the epitome of Latin music in Miami.
15:56There's a lot of great live music here.
15:59There's a lot of dancing and a lot of salsa, which is what you came to do with us.
16:04Is this where the locals kind of hang out? Is this where the community is?
16:08Well, you do get a lot of locals, young and old, and a lot of tourists too.
16:14People come from all over the world like you guys.
16:16And I love the fact that you do these free lessons. Tell me a bit about that.
16:19We do have salsa lessons for everybody to be able to kind of learn the basic steps.
16:24So that once the band is playing, you feel confident enough to get out on the dance floor and do a little something.
16:30This is going to be great.
16:33I'm always up for throwing some shapes on the dance floor.
16:36You guys are ready. We're ready to teach you a little salsa lesson.
16:39Oh, my God. OK, let's do it. Let's go. Come on.
16:42And I'm super excited for the salsa.
16:45I'm not sure Aidan feels the same, but as long as he puts his best foot forward, I'll be happy.
16:51OK, so when it comes to learning salsa, the most important thing to know at first is the rhythm.
16:57So we're going to clap that rhythm together. Here we go.
16:59And one, two, three, five, six, seven. One, two, eight, five, six, seven.
17:06OK, that's the maths part out of the way. Now for some action.
17:10One, two, three, feet come together, move forward to the right. Five, six, seven, forward to the left.
17:15One, two, three, forward to the right. Five, six, your other left. OK.
17:21Always slightly embarrassing when your grown son doesn't know which foot is which.
17:25Watch and learn, Aidan. Watch and learn. One, two, three, with the right. Five, six, seven.
17:30You're ready to go. I've got no rhythm. You've got all the rhythm, I've got no rhythm.
17:35That's the first steps mastered, for me at least.
17:39One, two, three, and five, six, seven.
17:46Sorry, I'm still on your foot. I'm sorry. Here we go.
17:50Rene, being a true professional, didn't wince when I tried on his foot.
17:54Very nice. Very good. Now, do you want to give it a shot?
17:57Yeah. Go on. And...
17:59I just hope Isabella's shoes have got steel toe caps,
18:01because Aidan, bless him, he's got all the gear.
18:04Look up and feel it. Feel it.
18:06No, no, no, no. He's so hot.
18:09But absolutely no idea.
18:11We know you don't know what you're doing,
18:13but you're going to pretend to know what you're doing, right?
18:16We're going to fake it till we make it, OK? Here we go.
18:18That reminder of the old Hammond family motto was a masterstroke.
18:24Aidan's faked it, and he's made it.
18:27Yeah!
18:29There we go.
18:30Well done, eh?
18:31OK, I think that we're ready to go dance with the band.
18:34Let's go dance, man. I'm ready to dance!
18:37Let's do it.
18:38And Rene's not kidding.
18:40There's a live band here and a great crowd.
18:48The stage is set.
18:50Time to salsa like we mean it.
18:53This is what we've been looking for.
19:09How to live or dance.
19:11One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
19:14Like a local in Miami.
19:16And just look at Aidan.
19:2850% Brummie, 50% Cuban.
19:33I think even Craig Revel Horwood would give him a ten.
19:36That was just incredible.
19:45I've seen Aidan dancing, enjoying himself.
19:48I could see he was totally out of his comfort zone,
19:50but he relaxed into it.
19:51He loved it.
19:52The more this journey goes on,
19:54the more I see Aidan in a completely different light,
19:57and it's just beautiful to watch as a mother.
19:59It really is.
20:00Oh, I'm so proud of Aidan today.
20:10Not sure he'd say the same about me, though.
20:12Do you know what?
20:13I think I was born for Little Havana.
20:15I was born for this life.
20:17Woo!
20:21Miami is a multi-coloured, multicultural city,
20:24and, as dear old George Michael said,
20:27you've got to have faith, bab.
20:29You've got to have faith.
20:30And Aidan and I do.
20:32I always try and carry around,
20:34at the bottom of my handbag,
20:35the little Bible my mum gave to me as a child.
20:38And today it's coming out,
20:40because we're in the iconic Miami neighbourhood
20:42of Liberty City.
20:43A place with a turbulent past,
20:46but hope for a better future.
20:48So we're here for some Liberty City positivity.
20:52I think the church is just round here, eh?
20:54OK.
20:55Have you decided to go back to church?
20:58Yeah, mate.
20:59I've missed it.
21:00I haven't been in a long time.
21:01Lovely.
21:03We've put on our Sunday best,
21:05and there to greet us at the church door
21:07is Pastor Bishop Junior Thompson,
21:10who founded this church along with his wife Lorraine,
21:13transforming a no-go parking lot
21:15into a place where local African-American
21:17and Caribbean people mix, sing, dance and pray
21:21in some style every week.
21:25What does a church like this do to the community around here?
21:28Oh, that's what it is.
21:29Without a church,
21:30a church is like the lighthouse.
21:32Without a church,
21:34I don't believe the community can go for it.
21:36Can't thrive.
21:37Yeah.
21:38We're ready for the Lord.
21:39All right.
21:40Take us to the church.
21:41Take us to the church.
21:42Let's go.
21:48And we'd better be ready,
21:50cos straight away we're bombarded with colour, music, drama.
21:54This church does a lot for young people in Liberty City,
22:01encouraging creativity through music, dance and art,
22:05helping to build confidence and self-esteem
22:08and an unbelievable wall of sound.
22:11And this is just the welcome party.
22:14When somebody comes into our service for the first time,
22:17we welcome them with open hands,
22:19cos a lot of times they're going through the trials
22:21and they're frustrated.
22:22They don't...
22:23Life took them to another level.
22:25And we just show them love.
22:26Now, although my church back in Birmingham
22:29can be a lively place,
22:31I've never seen anything quite like this before.
22:33He may mix bad and good at the same time.
22:39Jesus!
22:40The Bible my mum gave me when I was a little girl
22:43is my personal sat-nav system
22:45to help me navigate my way through life.
22:48So I reckon I'm ready for wherever Pastor Thompson
22:51is going to take us.
22:52If anybody come in here
22:53and you going through some things right now,
22:55I dare you to run up here and touch this altar.
22:58If you can only believe...
23:00Oh, my God!
23:01I feel...
23:02I feel a shaking!
23:03I feel a shaking!
23:05It's quite something,
23:07the way the pastor charismatically works the room.
23:10My God! My God!
23:12Sometimes he addresses the whole congregation,
23:15but sometimes he just talks straight to one person.
23:18Let me tell you about a proper child.
23:21A proper child may face something.
23:23But then he speaks to me about Aidan and how he's turned out
23:28and what it's like being a mum.
23:31I don't care what you're trying to do,
23:33you couldn't do it because you was a proper child.
23:37I don't care how many mistakes you made,
23:40it doesn't matter because you was a proper child.
23:43I'm just glad I brought plenty of tissues.
23:45I feel like Moses, y'all better watch out,
23:48that when his mother put him in the seat and say,
23:52I'm going to release something upon your life like never before.
23:56It seems like everyone is here looking for help.
24:05Or looking to give help.
24:06Or maybe both.
24:08When you leave out here,
24:09at least you feel a lot more better spiritually
24:13and you're learning a little word when somebody prayed with you
24:16and prayed for you.
24:18It really is unlike any Sunday service
24:20me and Aidan have ever been to before.
24:24I think I needed that today, Joanne.
24:26Mm-hm.
24:27That was so much fun.
24:28Ooh!
24:29Yes, Jesus is fun.
24:30But thank God that pastors have a heart for the community.
24:34He says, we're not serving the community,
24:36we happen to need to be here.
24:37Yeah.
24:39It looks like they practice what they preach here.
24:41Handed out school books, clothes and bags to help support families.
24:46They also provide meals for church goers every other Sunday.
24:49All right, I'm going in.
24:50I'm going to receive all my plans.
24:52Come on!
24:54Luckily, we've timed things to perfection
24:56because we've been invited for Sunday lunch.
24:58Result?
24:59We do have family and friends so we feed the whole congregation.
25:02That's so lovely.
25:03And it's a real sense of community bringing everyone together, isn't it?
25:06Absolutely.
25:07I mean, this is what it's about.
25:09We can't just make it about you come in and have church and that's it.
25:13Yeah.
25:14Community needs some assistance, then we answer the call.
25:17Thank you, ladies.
25:18Absolutely.
25:19Thank you so much.
25:20Our pleasure.
25:21It's good food too.
25:22Heavenly macaroni cheese.
25:25That was such a lovely service.
25:27And the community, they were really into it.
25:29They're quite a loud congregation, aren't they?
25:32Yes.
25:33Yes.
25:35They get into worship and we try to not get people to be stuck
25:39on just the words that come out of your mouth
25:43or participate in what you're doing.
25:45You've created such a lovely community in your church.
25:48Yes.
25:49You should be so proud and honestly, thank you so much for inviting us
25:52and thank you for letting us eat with you as well.
25:54That macaroni cheese.
25:55I love it.
25:56It's the best.
25:57It's the best.
25:58It's the best.
25:59We've found more than we bargained for here today.
26:01We haven't just met the locals, we've been welcomed into the community
26:05for an experience that's going to live with us for a long time.
26:09I just wanted to say thank you for embracing us and I'm so grateful
26:13because honestly, we feel home right near and now.
26:16Because you guys are so warm, so lovely.
26:20So thank you.
26:22I've been blessed.
26:23I've been touched today.
26:24Thank you for being so warm.
26:26Praise God.
26:27Thank you so much.
26:28I'm not sure what we were really expecting from today.
26:31Awesome.
26:32Awesome.
26:33Awesome.
26:34Awesome.
26:36But whatever it was, we got something else.
26:41I got a little bit emotional.
26:42Yeah.
26:43I don't know what it was.
26:44It was just like remembering like when you was a kid and also
26:47remembering when we used to go to church with mum and that sense
26:50of community, you know, having people, having the locals to talk to
26:54and then the fellowship afterwards where we were all eating together.
26:57It was lovely.
26:58It was so much.
26:59And even though it was quite hectic, it was quite nice if you
27:00actually listened to what the preacher was saying, the pastor.
27:02Yeah.
27:03It was lovely.
27:04It was lovely what he was saying.
27:06We set out to see things from the local point of view,
27:09to experience a side of Miami that we'd never normally see.
27:13But have we succeeded?
27:16So has mixing with the locals enriched our whole adventure,
27:20do you think?
27:21Oh, 100%.
27:22100% it has.
27:23It's like we've got all them opportunities that we've done today.
27:26Miami has delivered for us.
27:28Oh, this looks amazing.
27:30From the no cost transport.
27:33Cheers.
27:34To the free dance class.
27:36In that outfit.
27:39Oh, I love this one.
27:42It looks so Cuban.
27:43It was unbelievable.
27:44And it just goes to show you that even though you can be
27:48four and a half thousand miles away, some places, some special places,
27:53can bring back happy family memories of home.
27:57All in all, it's been such an incredible experience.
28:00And spending it with you has been even better.
28:03Thank you very much.
28:04You're welcome.
28:05And so is it for you.
28:06Thanks, son.
28:07Keep going.
28:08And coming.
28:09Thanks, all.
28:12All right.
