00:26also a big part of the uh the keys to this weekend's game uh we break those down every week
00:31special teams let up some long returns last week uh how much of a focus is that for you guys to get
00:36that corrected and what are you doing to correct it this week yeah i mean i think it's a focus for
00:41you know us every week you know we try to be the best we can on every phase that um steps onto the
00:45field and so this week it's just it's just getting back to our our identity and you know playing the
00:50way we've been playing you know the first 13 14 weeks of the season and you know get everything
00:55that we need to get corrected on film and then go out there fly around choose violence and have a
00:59good time you know it feels like with the some of the rule changes over the last couple years there's
01:03more and more big special teams plays last night in that game there was a return for a touchdown
01:08have you noticed that since your first year in the league to now that there's just more and more
01:12big swings on special teams i mean i think you know it's like what what all the coaches you know
01:18have to say to us it's you know it's a third of the game and so you can win or lose a game you
01:23know on special teams you know whether you're whether you're hurting your team or whether you're
01:25helping your team win so i think you know especially at this level it's not like you know
01:30you have guys in college that only you know are just on one one special teams phase you know we
01:35need we need all our guys on board all hands on deck um because you know it is such an important
01:39phase of the game and like i said it can change the momentum of you know a game in in one player and
01:44you know a couple seconds you can rip off a big return or you can pin the team deep and you know
01:48give your give your defense juice rolling out into the field so we're just we're just trying to do
01:52or do our piece to help this team win uh you're mostly associated with special teams however uh a
01:57year ago we learned about the longhorn package and you made your presence felt against the bears i
02:02think it was off the top of my head how much do you you remind people of that and how much do you
02:06lobby for the longhorn package this year i mean i always i always try to lobby for it man you know
02:11take it to you out there and you know help help the football team in any way i can and you know
02:15obviously it's it's why we play the game is you know you get on the field no matter you know whether
02:19that's offense defense or you know special teams and in college i played you know offense and defense
02:24and play on special teams so i feel like i'm i'm just one of those guys that just wants to be on
02:28the field helping his team out in any in any way possible to help win you know you talk about choosing
02:33violence and you know getting hyped up for these games is it even a little bit easier to get hyped up
02:37for the primetime games you guys are once again back in primetime this sunday yeah i mean for for for me
02:43personnel it's kind of hard to speak for for the rest of the guys but you know i try you know
02:46treat every game the same you know going going to every game you know with the same preparation the
02:51same attitude you know the same everything you know same pregame stuff now it just happens to be
02:56where we're going to be primetime sunday night so there's going to be more eyes watching us which
03:00is you know just gives us more opportunities to make plays you know and and continue to put good
03:05football out there and you know show show show the world that the patriots you know our damn good
03:09football team uh you started keith was just telling me this i didn't realize you started
03:12your career at oregon uh you finished at texas texas was in the college football playoffs a year
03:18ago oregon's in it now they didn't have it when you were in school is that something you wish you
03:22could have partaken in not just the the plus one uh four teams in but the current college football
03:27playoff format yeah i mean absolutely i think it's it's awesome that you know college football is doing
03:33this and you know giving these kids more of a platform you know to showcase their talents you know on
03:38the biggest stage because i know you know myself and a lot of guys in the team like we always love
03:42watching our alma maters go out there battle each other you know put out put on a good show and you
03:47know it's kind of also bragging rights for us too um but yeah most definitely wish i could have been
03:52you know on that stage you know playing playing in those games and you know doing everything you
03:56know those guys are trying to do to get to the next level all right less than a week until christmas
04:01do you have a favorite christmas movie oh yeah i think i actually watched uh christmas vacation uh
04:09last night the first one and i'm over here just you know sitting watching it by myself still cracking
04:13up just because of how funny it is so i'd have to say either christmas vacation or home alone are
04:18definitely up there for me great calls hell yeah where do you stand on eggnog
04:22you know i have nothing against eggnog my family was never big eggnog drinkers but you know when
04:29you go see extended family during the holidays you know they always had it out so whenever i could
04:33get the chance you know have a little bit you know i always didn't mind it sounds like you come from a
04:37healthy family if you guys are not in the eggnog unlike the keith household i was loaded with
04:42eggnog growing up it's funny yeah okay uh well brendan schooler we appreciate you joining us here
