04:40The report carried out by the Data Biba polling company confirmed that 97% of those surveyed support the principle of sovereignty over oil and national resources and reject external pressure mechanisms.
04:55Likewise, it also revealed that naval blockades are rejected by 92% of the population who perceive them as illegitimate pressure against the country.
05:05On the other hand, this study showed that in the face of allegations such as the one about Venezuela's being a foreign terrorist organization,
05:14the predominant reaction is one of closing ranks to defend the nation with 90% rejection.
05:20In relation with threats of a foreign military attack, 90% of opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of rejecting intervention and supporting national defense.
05:35And in this regional context, Tobago's chief secretary, Farley Augustine, addressed on Thursday the government's support to the United States military deployment in the Caribbean,
05:48assuring if he had the authority, he would have rejected the installation of Washington's military radar and denied them access to Tobago's airport.
