00:00So I, with other Liberal Democrat colleagues, have written today to Steve Reid to say that the investigation into foreign interference in British politics that he announced a couple of days ago has to include the United States.
00:11The national security strategy that the US released recently stated that America would interfere in European and UK elections in order to see its preferred candidates prosper.
00:23And we just can't tolerate that. The elections in this country should allow the British people to decide who they want their representatives to be, and no foreign power should be wielding its influence over that.
00:34So we strongly believe that the United States has to be included in this work on foreign interference in UK elections.
