00:00Police received information that a group of men travelling from Victoria had possibly planned to commit an act of violence.
00:10That led to a very dramatic arrest here in Liverpool yesterday in which two cars were rammed by tactical police.
00:17These tactical police were in camouflage uniform.
00:20They arrested these men on the street, putting them in cable ties and taking them, detaining them at that point.
00:27We basically received information from one intelligence source that at least one of these men was known by the Australian Security Intelligence Organization, the top spy agency, and that the group is known to Victorian police.
00:42Now, since then, they've been released, the seven men this afternoon here in Liverpool.
00:47Police had foreshadowed that they would be released if they didn't have sufficient information that would warrant their ongoing detention.
00:54They've said now there's no ongoing risk to the public, but they will continue monitoring their movements here in New South Wales.
01:00They said that this is a precautionary measure based on the information they had, and that they won't tolerate any form of violence, as it were, here in New South Wales.
01:11And as to any apparent links with Bondi, what happened with the Bondi gunmen on Sunday, they say there are no direct links, but they're investigating a potential Islamist ideology.
