00:00A time in my career where I felt the most successful. I would say honestly right now
00:10when I was younger that time in my life with Victorious and all of that was just crazy.
00:14But right now it's really nice to be able to kind of have the creative freedom that I do and to be
00:20able to kind of pick and choose things that make sense for me right now and that I am excited about.
00:25So you know musically being able to do that and kind of just being able to write a song and put
00:30it out as I please is really empowering and really exciting. My first job was an Ovaltine commercial
00:38when I was eight years old. I ended up getting it and I was thrilled over the moon like it felt
00:43like this was my big break. I was so excited and I was like the scrawniest little kid on set and I
00:47had to wear this like soccer uniform that was like ten times too big for me but I was so happy and I
00:52just remember being on set thinking to myself like wow this is really something I could get used to
00:57doing. My first paycheck was probably when I was working on Zoey 101 and I remember a cast member
01:03and I went to some like little boutique and saw a shirt that I really liked that was like probably
01:11like 150 bucks or something and I never spent that much money on an item of clothing before so I think
01:16that was like the first time where I was like okay big spender like here we go. So if I were to list
01:23some of my skills on a resume that make me unique I would say that I'm great at a game night. I'm really
01:30good at this game called Scattergories. It's one of my favorite games kind of crush at it not gonna lie.
01:37I'm also really good at so you know when like you finish eating and you're putting your food away and
01:43you have to find the right Tupperware. I'm really good at finding the perfect size Tupperware for the
01:48food so like it never goes over it's always just the right amount and then finding the lid that that's
01:53like a special skill of mine. Next career goal I guess would just be to continue making music and writing
02:00music and experimenting and pushing myself in that way and just you know work with people that I admire
02:08and that are gonna make me better I think is always the goal. What can you expect from my new music?
02:13You can expect I think everything that I write comes from a pretty authentic and personal place
02:18and so you can expect some diaristic singer-songwriter type of songs but also just songs that make you
02:27feel good and make you want to move and dance and just have like a really chill vibe. Three people in
02:33my industry that I would love to work with that I look up to would definitely be Sarah Bareilles.
02:38She's always been one of my favorite artists she her voice is just magic to me and she's also
02:44an incredible actress would love to somehow work with her someday. Also Rae is another one of my
02:49favorite artists right now I just admire her so much as a songwriter and I just appreciate her so
02:55much as a performer she's so authentic and so real and it's it's really about the art and I really respect
03:00that a lot. I would also say Greta Gerwig. I just love every single film she's directed and she's has
03:07a great sense of humor and to work with a female director like her it would just be iconic. Where
03:14would I go for a power lunch? This is maybe segwaying into more of a power dinner but one of my favorite
03:19restaurants in LA is a place called Koi. Definitely a great place to close a deal and have some good food.
03:25That's it? Yeah, that's it. That's it. Good job. Kats! Kats!
