Transcript
00:00Hi, who, what, where?
00:01It's Victoria Monet, and this is Truth or Where.
00:07Truth.
00:08What was your biggest green flag in a music collaborator?
00:12Willingness to play when a collaborator is open
00:14to trying something they've never tried before,
00:18trying a new sound, or hearing an idea,
00:20or drawing inspiration from something else
00:22that's always super green.
00:27Another truth.
00:28They want me to tell the truth.
00:28What is a grand romantic gesture you've done for somebody?
00:32Ooh.
00:33Romantic gesture?
00:35I don't know if it was grand,
00:36but I'm really good at planning surprises.
00:42Where?
00:43Oh, this is a fun one.
00:45This is from when I went to see Vogue World LA.
00:49I was wearing Cavalli,
00:51and it was all corseted and pushed up
00:55and very, very beautiful.
00:57It was like glistening in the sun.
00:58My girl's right next to me.
01:00We're in the same colorway, so I love this picture so much.
01:03It looks like we planned this.
01:07Dare.
01:08Ooh.
01:09If you could dare me to do anything,
01:11what would you dare me to do?
01:12Write it in the comments.
01:23Oh, that's really hard.
01:25I would marry ass like that because I always feel like prioritizing your self-care, which,
01:31to me, is physical fitness.
01:33I think that's always a great thing to have, even when you're, you know, 102.
01:37Still keeping that ass like that.
01:39I would kill on my mama.
01:42We've seen enough.
01:43I love the song.
01:44I think it was really, really great, but it's like, you know, there's more.
01:48Just for now, I'm going to lay her to rest for this game.
01:53I guess I would fuck Jaguar, which is hot.
01:59Where again?
02:00Okay.
02:01Who, what, where?
02:02Okay.
02:03This is me and Tiana Taylor courtside.
02:06My goal here was just to be chill.
02:09I wanted to be very girl next door.
02:11So I wore jeans and like a regular simple white top with a brown leather jacket and some diamonds
02:16on the neck because it's just a basketball game.
02:19So I was chilling and felt cozy, but still elevated from like a normal trip to the store,
02:26you know, spinning again.
02:30Oh, truth.
02:31As a Taurus.
02:33Okay.
02:33We love our Tauruses.
02:35What's one trait you fully embody and one you don't totally relate to?
02:39I think it depends on how you frame it because a lot of people frame Taurus as being stubborn.
02:47And I don't really identify with that.
02:49But if you say determined, I identify with that.
02:52So I think I would say Taurus are very determined.
02:55We're also very loving, loyal, truthful, and a Pisces moon and a Leo rising, by the way.
03:01Spinning again.
03:05Another truth.
03:07What's the ultimate come over I can cook dish?
03:09That's really tough because I just finished culinary school.
03:12So there's lots of things that I want to show off.
03:13Lately, my daughter's favorite has been my ramen.
03:17People also love my fried chicken and waffles.
03:21People love my sweet Monet's cookies.
03:23I like making Italian food.
03:24I learned how to make bread in culinary school.
03:26I mean, we can talk about food all day.
03:27That's another thing I identify with about being a Taurus.
03:30Because we love our food.
03:32I'm spinning harder.
03:37Wear, okay.
03:39Oh, this is a great one.
03:40This one is my Grammy look from 2024.
03:46This was custom Versace.
03:47And it was really important to me because my daughter also was nominated for a Grammy on
03:53this same day.
03:54She was two years old at the time, so she's now the youngest Grammy nominee ever in history.
04:00And she also had a matching Versace custom dress in the same fabric, which I thought was
04:05so kind of them to do.
04:07And funny story on the carpet, I brought her onto the carpet obviously because she was
04:12nominated also.
04:13But it was right in between like nap time and eating time and she was very irritable.
04:18So she wanted me to hold her the whole time.
04:20She was giving the interviewers a time.
04:21So she became a meme that day.
04:24Like she looked at one of the interviewers crazy for, I guess, just because she was just
04:28in a mood.
04:30Yeah, so now it's still a meme.
04:35Wear once more.
04:36Okay, this look was fun.
04:39This was from my On My Momma music video.
04:43It's the first look you see in the music video.
04:44These jeans that I have on are from the early 2000s and they are called Jabot jeans.
04:50Very, very hard to find.
04:51We gave like very much character energy and that's why I have this fitted hat on as well.
04:57This is an L.A. hat.
04:58I would have usually worn a Sacramento hat, but I live in L.A. and we shot in L.A.
05:03Okay, so it was an ode to L.A. culture as well.
05:06Yeah, good times.
05:09Truth!
05:10Okay, here's the truth.
05:12What can you tease about this next era of music for you?
05:15Oh, this next era of music feels really, really full of love and experimentation.
05:22It's about being on another frequency, which is fun.
05:27Woo-hoo!
05:30True.
05:31What's the best part about being a girl mom?
05:34Oh, I find something better every day.
05:37I feel so inspired, but also like this really grand responsibility to be such a protector,
05:43even more than I protect myself and like standing up in ways that I wouldn't even do for myself.
05:49So, it's really, really cool.
05:50And I think it would be like that whether it was a girl or a boy.
05:54All right, who, what, where?
05:55That was so fun and I will see you next time.
