00:11So what is it like training all these like super stars?
00:15I'm sure they're just regular people to you by now. They're regular people and they have regular people goals and regular people
00:23Concerns and challenges and I just think that sometimes they're preparing for a
00:29Show or shoot or you know something that's at an elevated
00:34Scale so you were just in Barcelona with Shakira. So how is she preparing for her tour?
00:40She is so I'm giving her a three-month program. So it's not eight weeks. It's not four weeks
00:45I'm really giving her some time to get on schedule get with the program and then see those
00:53Benchmarks hit those benchmarks so that she gets motivated and excited about the next phase both with fitness
00:59And with nutrition
01:01One of the things I brought with me were these birthday cake bars. I know I've been eyeing them. Have you tried that?
01:06Not yet, but I will today. They're amazing. She's obsessed. I'm obsessed. They have 20 grams of protein in them
01:12But they actually taste like the birthday cake with the sprinkles in it from when you were a kid
01:16Totally worth trying and also
01:18We've done it for dessert too. Okay. She would
01:22She would text me at night and go I need something sweet. We were talking about this. Yeah, when you just need that something sweet
01:27Sweet and this solves the sweet craving
01:29But then also fills you up so that you don't need to keep having something sweet
01:33Right. I was saying I definitely have a sweet tooth and I feel like so many people especially that work in an office at 3 p.m..
01:39You're like oh, I just want like a little sweet treat after lunch
01:42Yeah, and you want to reach for something, but you're trying to reach those fitness goals
01:46So I feel like that's a good yeah because it has the protein it's low in sugar
01:51But it also has the good nutrients to fuel the rest of your day how how far in advance of a workout?
01:59Do you eat like in the morning or do you eat before a workout or just after well when I wake up in the morning?
02:05There's so much going on I'm a one-year-old and running after him and then I have to run to juggle meetings and train clients to teach classes
02:12So I definitely need a breakfast. I need a breakfast solution. That's easy
02:16It has that protein has good ingredients and it's gonna fuel the rest of my morning
02:22So I found these pure protein breakfast bars. Have you tried these? No again
02:27Um, they come in four delicious flavors. My favorite is the blueberry oatmeal
02:31But my husband likes the chocolate almond because it also tastes like a dessert. Yeah, delicious
02:36But they have really good ingredients in them like oats and quinoa and flax seeds
02:41uh so that you get the 12 grams of protein when you need it in the morning and then you also have you know
02:48It's low in sugar and has good ingredients in it and most of all it tastes good because
02:52We're not gonna reach for something in the morning if it doesn't taste good. No one wants a gross snack
02:57And you could throw it in your bag. Yeah, take it with you on the go
03:00Definitely, and I feel like the thing about celebrities and everyone is that we're busy. We have kids and we're we have a job
03:07You know we're working we're running around so yeah, I think on the go snacks are definitely and something everyday people
03:13I mean we're also busy. Yeah, especially here in New York. Yeah, always busy. It's nice
03:18I just keep them in my bag, and then I know I have something in case I have a food emergency
03:23That always happens to me

03:26Um our website basically broke broke the internet when Kelly Ripa's like bikini pictures came out when she was on vacation
03:33Everyone was obsessed with her stomach stunning stunning stomach especially so how I mean you've known her for many years
03:42We've been training together for 10 years. Does she work out every day with you like four to five days a week? Okay. Yes
03:4960 to 75 minutes
03:51And then you know she eats a really?
03:54Balanced diet you know and tries to keep her protein intake up and her sugar down and
04:00Have easy things to grab so that when she's running from the show to a meeting to the workout to the kids
04:07After school practices, there's always something available for her. Yeah, and I feel like
04:13When you start working out sometimes you're gaining muscle and maybe the scale isn't changing
04:18It's not about weight frustrated. Yes. Yes. It's not about weight. It's really important
04:23That is one of the most important things I could ever tell someone is
04:27You know between the water that you drink and the the
04:32Additional weight from the food that you're eating your weight can fluctuate 10 pounds. So it is much more about
04:39Being consistent with your workouts and eating a healthy diet and your body will change we always focus on measurements

04:46Okay making sure we have an in-body scanner so we can actually see how much muscle to fat and where that ratio is in your body
04:53Kind of like you know insider's guide to what's happening
04:58From the workout so I would stay away from the scale. Okay. I never step on a scale. Okay. Yeah
05:03I think it's definitely about like how you look how you feel
05:06So if a normal person can't work out 75 minutes like Kelly Ripa almost every day
05:11She does 60 as well
05:13I know your class is great because I feel like it's a lot of dance and it's a lot of things
05:18I guess you could almost do at home. Do you have like a dvd or your instagram is great? We have you can
05:24Get a lot of workouts from my instagram at bianna kaiser or we have an on-demand app
05:30Okay, so not only like
05:31I'm like in 1999 with the dvds. I don't even know why I said that
05:35Well, we have a dvd too
05:36I don't even have a dvd player anymore
05:36But that workout's on our app too
05:37Okay on demand I think is better
05:39So akt on demand also has live classes so you can work out with us
05:43And only you know, I don't know if you know this only 35% of our classes are dance based
05:48Okay, and then we have circuit training interval training and sculpting
05:51And then all the classes we do on our app are also the same in the studio
05:55So you get the exact same workouts that i'm doing with my celebrities either in the studio or online perfect
06:01How much of your workout should be cardio how much should be weights?
06:05That's such a good question. Yeah, so everyone is different
06:08But it's important to get both and that's what I wanted that was the answer that I wanted to give
06:14Everyone with akt so it's four different types of workouts
06:18And then you have a trainer that designs a program for you whether it's online or in the studio so that you get the results that you need
06:24And I know you were working out when you were pregnant. So is it safe for pregnant women to work out?
06:29Oh 100% the the best thing you can do is be in
06:33Amazing shape before you get pregnant because you can continue at that intensity
06:37Until about halfway through your pregnancy and then you'll pull back a little bit
06:41So the more in shape you are before the more intensely you can continue to work out
06:45But if you haven't worked out you can't start when you're pregnant
06:48Okay, so it's really important to set up those habits prior to getting pregnant. Okay, and
06:53As we said kelly was just on vacation. What's the key to indulging and having a fun time on vacation without going like totally
06:59Overboard with your diet and like ruining your gains that you've made yes such a good question
07:06I mean even when I go to someplace like barcelona or europe
07:09You never know what's going to be available to you and I can only eat so much ham on and olives
07:15So i'm always bringing good options with me
07:18And these bars whether it be the breakfast bars or the high protein bars are always in my luggage because they're easy to grab
07:25They taste delicious and then
07:28Regardless of the food situation wherever I am I have an answer that's going to help keep me on track
07:33Okay, we had a lot of questions that were about specific body parts. So it's like how do we lose weight on our abs?
07:39How do we lose weight in our butt? Is it about certain areas of your body?
07:44Or is it more of just like trying to work out and and toning all over at the same time?
07:49That's such a good question
07:50So you have to lose fat in order to lose and your everyone's body is going to lose fat differently based on their genetics and metabolism
08:01But you want to build muscle because the more muscle you have in your body the faster you will lose fat for every pound of muscle
08:07You lose you burn 50 extra calories without doing anything
08:11So you actually get smaller if you have more muscle in your body not bigger
08:15But cardio is really important so that you burn those extra calories
08:19You're going to burn the most fat and calories with cardio, but then you don't want to do too much cardio
08:23Because you'll lose muscle so it's finding that perfect
08:28Perfect amount of both but you can build a muscle while losing fat and then those areas will get smaller and then
08:35For you can't spot train okay. You can't say oh i'm gonna do these glute exercises
08:40And then i'm just going to lose fat in my booty that's not going to happen you're going to lose fat all over your body
08:45And i know it's different for everyone, but how do you figure out like do you count calories?
08:51Do you count grams of protein grams of fat like how do you know what to eat and how much to eat that's also a good question?
08:58Yeah, and everyone is different but for the most part we need to eat more protein okay because that's going to help keep you full
09:05It's going to
09:06Give you more sustained energy and you want to cut the sugar because the sugar is going to make you crash you're going to have cravings
09:13And it's not going to fuel your day. It's kind of like fake food, you know you should feel your body not fool your body
