00:00Two men were rescued after rough seas caused their yacht to rapidly take on water while travelling from Melbourne to Sydney on Sunday, December 14th, 2025.
00:10At around 6.30pm, the skipper radioed for help while travelling 60 nautical miles off lake's entrance.
00:17A joint effort by the Victoria Police Air Wing, Australian Maritime Safety Authority and Ambulance Service responded to the call-out.
00:25The two men, aged 59 and 70, were winched to safety from their life raft and flown to land where they were given medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and hypothermia.
00:38The 6.5 metre yacht is believed to have sunk.
