00:00My name is Kira. I am 36 years old. I was born in a poor family. Life was very hard.

00:10My father died when I was only 10 years old. My mother worked hard and was always tired, but she never gave up.

00:20We lived in a small house with one room. When I turned 13, I began working. I cleaned houses and washed dishes.

00:31I gave the money to my mother. She always smiled at me and said I was her strong girl.

00:40I didn't feel strong. I felt tired, but I smiled for her.

00:45One day, my mom got sick. She couldn't walk. We had no money and no doctor came.

00:55I sat beside her, held her hand and cried. She smiled and said, don't be sad. You are strong.

05:36A friend of the son. He had problems with drugs and money. He was close to the family.

05:45After the crime, he disappeared, changed his name, and moved away.

05:52After 12 years, I was finally free. I stepped outside for the first time in years.

05:59No one waited for years. No one waited for me. No family. No friend.

06:04I had no home. No phone. And no money. I saw a small bakery.

07:57And sometimes it feels like things will never get better.
