A Cessna Citation III private jet, registration number XA-PRO, crashed on Dec. 15, 2025 in Toluca, central Mexico, resulting in six fatalities, according to preliminary reports from the State of Mexico's civil protection authorities.
The aircraft had departed from Acapulco heading to Toluca, carrying eight passengers and two crew members, the organization said.
It was confirmed that the fire triggered by the crash has been contained, with cooling and debris removal operations ongoing.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid the crash site.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
