00:04launching in August. The two heroes will take on the Batman who laughs.
00:08The alternate reality version of Batman was first introduced in the successful comic book
00:13miniseries Dark Nights Metal, as a Batman who has become transformed into an immoral villain
00:19through exposure to Joker toxin. Not only will this version of Bruce Wayne continue to terrorize
00:24the DC Universe with a previously unannounced extension to his current miniseries,
00:28but he'll also be the threat at the center of the Batman Superman series.
00:32Scott Snyder and Jock's The Batman Who Laughs series will now run seven issues instead of six,
00:36leading into the new Batman Superman title created by Josh Williamson and David Marquez.
00:41Williamson teased,
00:42We discover through The Batman Who Laughs series that he has sleeper agents throughout the DC Universe.
00:47They've been infected and they're slowly turning into the worst versions of themselves.
00:51Williamson says they call these people the new Secret Six. He added,
00:56But who could be turned? Who are they? Batman and Superman have to go out and figure it out.
01:00But that means spying on other heroes, friends, allies.
01:04The identity of the Secret Six will be one of the core elements of the new series,
01:07and also an important part of DC's superhero continuity as a whole across the next year of storytelling.
