00:04Now, this morning, during the big reveal,
00:07you said that your kids were kind of inspiring you a little bit.
00:10Yeah.
00:11How excited are you to kind of show them Dad's Got Moves?
00:15Well, they see my moves all the time.
00:17We dance in the house constantly.
00:20You know what?
00:21I'm excited for them to watch me try something that I haven't done before
00:24and to watch me learn and put in work
00:28and, you know, just jump into something because it was fun and crazy.
00:33And that's kind of what I hope they take from it.
00:36Why was right now such a great time in your career to take on Dancing with the Stars?
00:41Because I felt pretty secure in my career at this point.
00:45And your hips.
00:46Yeah, I do.
00:48You know, I've been, after Pose, I created a show and sold it
00:53and will start production in about four months.
00:56And so I had a little window and they came to me and I thought,
00:58Dancing with the Stars?
00:59Well, that's crazy.
01:00Then I was like, I love crazy.
01:03And I love to dance.
01:05And so I'm doing this.
01:07Yeah.

01:09Well, I think a lot of the fans are wondering if you will possibly be sampling
01:13that Dawson's theme song in one of the dances.
01:16Well, anybody who's wondering that should think about how you dance to that song.
01:20Like, pick it up a little bit.

01:24And who will be supporting you in the stands?
01:26Who do you hope to be there supporting you?
01:28Oh, my family.
01:29Yeah.
01:30It'll be fun to have my kids.
01:31As long as they're quiet.
01:33They're pretty young.
01:34It's going to be a little nerve-wracking.
01:36But, yeah.
01:37Are there any stars that have been announced that you feel like are your biggest competition?
01:42I mean, how do you outwork Ray Lewis?
01:44You know what I'm saying?
01:45A man's a champion in everything he's ever done in his life.
01:48So, yeah.

01:50It's pretty intimidating.
01:51I'm just looking forward to having fun.
01:53I miss being in front ofāI started on stage, so I miss being in front of an audience.

02:05Are you tapping into that mindset at all?
02:07I pitched that storyline idea because I secretly really wanted to dance.
