Providence police have released newly obtained photos and video of a person of interest in the Brown University campus shooting as the manhunt enters its third day. Authorities say the images were captured about two hours before the shooting and could be critical in identifying the suspect.

Police confirmed the shooter used a 9 mm handgun and emphasized that the attack was deliberately targeted at Brown University. State police and federal agencies have joined the search as investigators race against time to apprehend the suspect.

“Every minute counts,” said Providence Police Chief Col. Oscar L. Perez Jr., urging the public to come forward with any information and calling on the shooter to turn himself in. Officials say they are hopeful the newly released footage will lead to an arrest soon.
