00:13Sek, hindi kami ng update. Sabi ng ating embassy, 118 na Pinoy sa ang pinalikas doon.
00:19What is our number so far?
00:21Dito sa border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia, meron tayong tinutulungan na higit kumulang mga 251 in seven different areas.
00:39They are all safe and sound and are either in evacuation centers or sa mga residences ng mga Pinoy na kung saan sila sumukob, yung bahay na kung saan sila sumukob.
00:55And we are continually in partnership with the, under the leadership of the Philippine Embassy, si Ambassador Paredes sa Bangkok,
01:05okay, patuloy ang pagbibigay natin ng assistance. Ang sistema ng assistance natin is financial kasi kailangan nila ng mga basic needs nila.
01:14And dito sa mga dagdaang araw ay walang pasok. They're mostly teachers eh.
01:20So walang pasok ang skwela at transport ay irap din, railway operations.
01:26Secretary, all accounted for naman po yung mga Pilipino dyan sa areas na posibleng maapektuhan ng conflict.
01:35Yes, yes, of course. And the Thai government is, of course, on top of the situation in terms of protection of their nationals as well as our OFWs.
01:45And may mga proper action and necessary briefings naman sa mga foreign missions and embates.
01:53Secretary, para lang po ma-visualize sa mga manonood natin, gano'n po makalayo itong area ng clashes from the capital, from Bangkok for example?
02:01Yes, it's in the southern part. Again, there are about certain areas, around seven of them na minaman manan ng sitwasyon.
02:15May distansya naman sa capital of Bangkok. But having said that, we continually monitor the situation.
02:23And so far, wala namang reported injuries or fatalities. So we hope it stays that way.
02:30Secretary, sa Cambodia side, kumusta naman po yung mga kababayan natin sa Cambodia?
02:35Sa Cambodia side, we also continue to monitor situations.
02:38Sa norte naman ito from the Cambodian side.
02:41And we are still accounting for the OFWs up north.
02:46Wala namang mas konti ang OFWs sa Cambodia kaysa sa Thailand.
02:53At sa norte ito, medyo kalayuan sa capital of Phnom Penh.
02:56So we're hoping na hindi apektado ang mga Pilipino dun sa Bantang Norte.
03:02Having said that, we continue to cooperate with the Cambodian government as well as the Thai government dito sa mga OFWs na natin nandu doon.
03:15Who are also, who are either mostly teachers or factory worker, factory supervisor.
03:21Tinitignan po ba natin, Secretary, ang possibility na kailangan natin i-repatriate ang mga kababayan natin?
03:26Sa ngayon ay, of course, nakahandaan naman tayo parati yan ang pinagutos ng ating Pangulo in terms of pagmamanman ng sitwasyon at yung repatriation effort.
03:39But ito ay sitwasyon na hindi sila necessarily illegal doon o biktima ng human trafficking.
03:49So they legally work in Thailand and yung mga teachers and factory supervisors in Cambodia respectively.
03:58So hindi natin nakikita na magkakaroon ng repatriation as long as kumupa ang sitwasyon ay makakabalik naman sila sa trabaho.
04:08Meron po bang effort ang ASEAN, Secretary? For example, is the President involved sa pag-uusap para magkaroon ng ceasefire o maresol ba itong conflict nito?
04:19Siguro yung aspeto na yan, I will leave that. I will defer to the DFA on that matter.
04:27Sec, on another topic po, yung nangyaring mass shooting naman sa Bondi Beach sa Australia, may mga manggagawang Pinoy po ba ang nadamay?
04:34So far, walang reported case ng apektadong Pilipino doon sa Bondi Beach.
04:41And having said that, we of course commiserate and also sympathize with the citizens and residents of Australia dito sa malagay na incident na ito.
