00:00John Jordan starts off.
00:18How are you doing here?
00:22Oh, Ali, go on.
00:24Feels like two steps forward, a big leap back to what would you make of it?
00:28Yeah, absolutely agree.
00:30That was very disappointing.
00:32It was a bad performance.
00:35Frustrating, because I think the last three games were good on performance and results.
00:41They're normally linked, and you can lose a game, but if you lose a game like this, that's the frustrating part, of course.
00:48I think every game, I think, onto the 1-0 goal.
00:52I think it was a little bit back and forth for both teams.
00:55Half transition both ways.
00:57And then after the first goal, I think we lost structure and were more disjointed.
01:04And then the 2-0 goal killed the game off.
01:07Basically not in the game after that, in my opinion.
01:11And that's part of keep the structure, keep the game plan, keep going, keep doing the right things.
01:17So that's definitely, it's not the first time we've seen that.
01:21This year, last year, whatever.
01:24That's something that's ongoing work in progress before we be more consistent in that.
01:29Of course, it doesn't help that we made two mistakes with the first two goals, but again, that can happen in football.
01:36So we just need to keep doing the right things so everything looks the right way.
01:43And then on top of that, we decide to throw the ball away at least 25 times.
01:47So we can't hit each other 25 times.
01:49Because that's going to make it difficult for you to create anything or to win a game.
01:53So you said before the game that you want to see more aggression, you want to be aggressive, be brave, be offense-minded, which is something you've said on a regular basis.
02:03Does it feel like the players aren't sometimes taking it on board?
02:09No, I think it's very simple.
02:12If you don't perform, you can say all the right things.
02:15If you're a little bit out of sync, then you see things like this.
02:18When you are on track and in sync, you see the last three performances.
02:23So that's very simple.
02:24If you perform, you keep doing the right thing, then it makes it easier, of course.
02:31And then I just think the little small thing that is difficult, we win together, we lose together,
02:36but I can't pass the ball on the pitch.
02:39So if you lose the ball 25 times, I think it's fair to say that it's pretty difficult to create something.
02:44Does that come into when you tune up down and make three subs?
02:47One of them is Ben Davis, one of them is Raquel Lino.
02:50I think a lot of fans are hoping for attacking players, but is that part of the reason?
02:53Because you're looking for more of a keeping the ball at that point?
02:56No, but I think we had four offensive players on the pitch.
03:01I think that's fair to say.
03:02So I felt that, just to go back to the bits before where I say we're disjointed.
03:09So if you're disjointed, you're going to have 11 offensive players on the pitch.
03:12It will not help.
03:14So you need to be disjointed, sorry, be jointed or in sync, and then it helps,
03:19and hopefully you can find your way back after that.
03:21But Archie Gray's mistake, is that something you have obviously learned from as he hadn't planned?
03:26Yeah, you know, that happens.
03:29I've said before, mistakes happen.
03:31That, of course, I'll be irritated about because you would like to avoid it,
03:35but he will learn.
03:36I think it was a classic thing you see week in, week out.
03:40It's ball playing to one of the two sitters, bounce it out first touch, not take a touch.
03:45He will learn from that.
03:47I'm pretty sure he will use one touch next time.
03:48No issue with the goalkeeper with that, man?
03:50That's how you want your team to play?
03:52I think you see that every week in the Premier League, from every team, all over the world.
03:59So there's no problem with that.
04:01So there's always a very calm and measured manager in these press conferences after that.
04:06Are you a bit different in the dressing room with the players, or is it the same kind of...
04:09I think I do everything to control my emotions, which is a hurricane inside me,
04:17because, of course, it's deeply frustrating that we are not doing better today after three good performances.
04:24I think it's extremely important to be calm and measured,
04:28and, of course, have very, very direct and clear messages at the right time,
04:35so they're not in doubt of what I think,
04:37because I'm very honest about where we are.
04:42That's why I'm also very honest today.
04:43It was a very bad performance.
04:44No two ways about that.
04:46But also know that to change this, this will take some time,
04:53because you can't, no matter, no one want to hear about that.
04:56It's just reality.
04:57I think the one who have followed the Klopp and the team,
05:02I think it's fair to say there's been a few, not too consistent performances,
05:07and that's the thing we are working very hard on.
05:10Do you have any issue with JVC to come off and throw a jacket back a bit?
05:16You're the third one that said that to me today.
05:19I didn't see it.
05:21Of course, I will look it back to be aware of it.
05:25I think there can be three reasons.
05:27He can be disappointed with his own performance, the team's performance.
05:31Disappointing to be chopped off, and I will ask him about that.
05:33Just more generally, it feels like people would understand the kind of up-and-down results a bit,
05:38but it still feels like the floor of this team is very low, right?
05:41Do you agree with that?
05:42The floor is in...
05:44Oh, the floor.
05:44Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:46Yeah, I think that is a fair assessment, unfortunately.
05:52And that's something we need to work very hard on,
05:55that these setbacks can't affect us that much.
05:57Because I actually think, I'm pretty sure when I watch the game,
06:00when did you concede the first goal?
06:0328 minutes.
06:0428?
06:04I think I'm pretty sure when I watch it back,
06:06it's probably not that bad until the first goal.
06:10So it can't be one goal that then make it so disjointed for 50 minutes.
06:13It can't happen.
06:14And you can have a day where it's not perfect.
06:18How many games have you seen where it's not perfect?
06:20And then you find your way into it, and then you maybe win.
06:23You draw 1-1, or you win 2-1 in the second half,
06:25where you eat your way into it.
06:27So that's just an ongoing work we need to work so hard on.
06:31What's a mental thing, then?
06:32More than that.
06:32I think it's a combination of mental structure, coolness,
06:37stick to the game plan.
06:38There's a focus.
06:41You've got kind of obviously, you're trying to bet in all these new ideas,
06:44but you're at a club that maybe the average kind of time span of managers
06:47hasn't been that long.
06:48Do you feel that you'll get the time to put everything you want into place?
06:51I can't see why not.
06:54I think it's pretty evident that if no one gets the time,
06:57no one can turn this around.
06:59This is not a quick fix.
07:01Thomas, the Christmas in India is always a hectic schedule.
07:05How do you learn to navigate this in the next coming weeks?
07:07First and foremost, we have, I think, finally a more or less full week
07:15going into Liverpool next time, and then after that,
07:16we have eight days into, I can't remember, was this Christian Palace thing?
07:20I can't remember.
07:21So that gives a little bit of time to train and try to get on top
07:24of some of these things.
07:25That's also the challenge is no complaint, it's just a fact.
07:29When we try to change things with very short time between games,
07:35it's just a little bit more tricky,
07:36but we need to utilise the time the next two weeks massively,
07:39and then we have five games in a short amount of time.
07:42Thomas, are you expecting Matt Wells to still be at the club?
07:46There's definitely a few rumours about that.
07:49We will, how can I say, when we know if that will happen or not happen,
07:57we will announce something, that's what I would say.
08:01Thomas, do you think, you spoke there about keeping your composure
08:03and being calm, two of the players did that well enough in general?
08:06We have the chance, and I felt like there were a couple of times
08:08you were telling Pedro to calm down as well.
08:11Why do you think that seems to be a bit of an issue?
08:13I think that's two small situations.
08:18I think in general, no matter what,
08:21I think to have that coolness on the pitch
08:24and relentless concentration and focus,
08:28that's a big thing of being a top team.
08:30Okay, thank you.
08:31Thank you, guys.
