00:00The last government delivered record ever police numbers. It had Operation Soteria designed to
00:04increase the rape prosecution rate and by the time we left office those numbers were still too low
00:09but they were increasing. The numbers were going up and half a billion pounds was spent over the
00:15last two or three years of the last government on domestic abuse and violence against women and
00:19girls. So the resources were put in. Unfortunately under Labour we're now seeing police officer
00:24numbers go down and we're not seeing any extra money being put into this area in any meaningful
00:29way.
