00:00It was supposed to be a happy day and it's literally been the worst day of my life.
00:03Great.
00:0514 years, I waited for this moment. I was not expecting it. God, it's so good.
00:10It was anything but easy to get to this point.
00:13I need my uterine lining to be at least an eight at this appointment.
00:16It's like really scary because you just don't know what's going to come.
00:19My embryo transfer is probably going to be cancelled.
00:22This will be my third cancelled cycle.
00:24Her fertility struggle started after a devastating repercussion from a triplet pregnancy.
00:30Oh my God, you should have heard this bad. Can I do something?
00:36Yeah, we're going to get you to aim it.
00:38This was an ongoing battle until 14 years later when a miracle happened.
00:44Oh, thank you. Thank you, God. Thank you.
00:48Please don't come in here.
00:53She knew it wasn't going to be easy, but she didn't know about what was to come.
00:57You are 11 weeks old today.
01:00This week you graduated from an embryo to a fetus.
01:03I'm starting to get a little bump showing.
01:06Can't wait to see you in the fall.
01:08However, her miracle baby was about to cost her everything.
01:11It was supposed to be a happy day and it's literally been the worst day of my life.
01:14After she was born, I knew that something was really wrong.
01:18They could not stop me from and they ended up having to put a device inside my uterus to help my uterus contract.
01:24Around that evening, we decided to take the device out so I could go see baby girl.
01:29About 10 minutes after moving the device, I felt a big gush of.
01:34I passed like a softball-sized clock.
01:36They ran me to the OR.
01:38By the time I got to the OR, I blacked out from all the loss.
01:42And when I woke up in the ICU, they told me they took my uterus.
01:46I'm officially infertile and will never be pertinent again.
01:49I'm so happy she's safe and healthy.
01:51I am grieving big time.
01:53She may have lost the chance to have another baby, but she'd gained a newborn child who was now fighting for their life.
01:59I got a call from the ICU doctor at 9 o'clock tonight that a baby girl has tested positive for infection.
02:07They had to hurry up and do a lumbar puncture to see how bad it went to her organs and what all is affected.
02:14We'll find out in the morning how bad the infection is.
02:17I'm devastated.
02:18I'm shocked.
02:20I'm a mess.
02:21It's just one thing after another.
02:23I'm really getting tired of fighting.
02:27I just want a break.
02:27But things started to look up for her.
02:30Basically, she has a infection that could go to her brain.
02:35And if it was in her brain, it was a freight train that they could not stop.
02:39The survival rate is about 5%.
02:41So it is a sigh of relief that is not in her brain, it's not in her spine.
02:46Hopefully we can keep this infection in the butt.
02:49And in 20 days, we can go home and be on the up and up.
02:52It's been a little, like, it's been a nightmare for the past week and a half.
02:56It's been a total nightmare.
02:57A year later, they are both healthy and happy.
03:00A year later, they are both healthy and happy.
