Transcript
00:00Congratulations on this amazing show.
00:02Tell us what we can expect and who's doing what.
00:06Well, it's a fun show and an incredible competition show,
00:10and kind of the first of its kind,
00:12where you see multi-generational families
00:14compete against each other with the hopes
00:17of winning a quarter million dollars
00:19and also getting a record with Republic Records.
00:22But it's the ultimate family competition show,
00:25and I feel like when anyone watches the show,
00:27they're gonna be in for a treat.
00:28We have everyone covering everything from country,
00:31music to R&B, to polka, to mariachi,
00:34and so it is a diverse group of families up here.
00:38Families want to sit down together and watch things together.
00:41David, you were saying, like,
00:43you would watch this with your family if you weren't on it.
00:46100%. I'm gonna watch it with my family now.
00:48I'm moving back in with my parents, actually.
00:50Perfect.
00:51On the show ask.
00:51All the people who have America's Most Musical.
00:52Yes.
00:53I'm adopting David, and I highly encourage his love of music.
00:57We wanted to announce it. We're ready.
00:58Yeah, it's a scoop just for you guys.
01:00Yeah, congratulations, guys.
01:02He said we wanted to announce it. We're ready.
01:04Yeah.
01:05Now, since you have young kids,
01:07when you're seeing the young kids up there,
01:08are you finding yourself to kind of go a little bit more into mom mode,
01:11or are you strictly, you know, sticking to the judge?
01:13Like, Katy Perry, she's still sometimes a little tough on the kids.
01:15Well, I definitely, I think I feel every emotion
01:18as it relates to being an artist, you know, first,
01:20and then also being a mom, because for me, I think it's also saying,
01:24oh my gosh, like, this is this little nine-year-old with this powerful voice,
01:28and seeing how confident he is on the stage, you know,
01:32and thinking, oh, that could be my kid one day, you know?
01:34And so there's, like, the mom rooting for them, you know,
01:36wanting for them to, like, really, like, kill it and, you know, own the stage.
01:41And then there's also, of course, the artist in me
01:43and somewhat the judge in me as well that kind of, you know,
01:46I have, like, my little technical thoughts and the natural critiques.
01:50But it definitely is a balancing act of emotions, you know,
01:52because I am a mom and I'm also an artist.
01:55So, and I want to make sure that more than anything, I, if I, you know,
01:59for what it's worth, I leave them with gems of knowledge
02:01that will help them to, you know, keep on going on in the competition
02:05or just in life in general with their dreams of being an artist,
02:08because I've been there when, I've been there before, you know,
02:11hoping to have the opportunity for the world to know who I am
02:14and having to audition and knowing that whole experience
02:17and process and what that's like.
02:19So I just hope more than anything to just kind of, you know,
02:22give them, you know, nuggets of knowledge that will hopefully help them,
02:25you know, advance in the next round and so on.
