01:26So, she had a trainer that she was working with and I was going to college and it just
01:30so happened that the college I was going to, the dorms, we had a gym on the bottom level.

01:42So, she was basically training Egypt out of the gym that was in our dorm.
01:46So, one day I was like, you know what?

01:50School's getting on my nerves.
01:51I'm going to take a shot at Jack and go work out.

01:58I was on the treadmill when he walked in.

03:16My trainer was like, he came over.

04:40So then finally, an hour before my session, I'm sitting there and I get with my guys.

04:49And they spend like 45 minutes trying to figure out who she is.
04:52And I'm sitting there.
04:53I'm like, nah, man.
04:54They didn't just look up your name?
04:55Well, they didn't.
04:56That's the thing.
04:57They were just trying to like go through her Instagram because, you know, trying to follow

05:01So then finally.
05:02So they're all in on the fact that you're crushing on this girl.

07:03So, basically, when I met Egypt, you know, I was pretty much like one of the most hype

07:09So, in art institutes and stuff like that, of course it's music, it's fun, but a lot
07:15of people, they don't really go all out like the college parties and stuff like that, but
07:19I didn't agree with that.
07:20I figured, dude, we're entertainers.
07:22He made his own party.
07:23We have to go hard.
07:25So, my guys, they hit me up and, you know, the dudes we shared dorms with, we were like,
07:30yo, what are we going to do?
07:32We can't get no shows out here because, you know, it's not that time of year.
07:36I was like, dude, just throw a party if you're going to throw a party.
07:38And they kind of like...
07:39So, they put together a party.
07:40Yeah, they took over.
07:41And they threw a big party and then since I was talking to her and we were doing our
07:44own thing, they put my name on the party.

07:49I was just like giving them the ideas not knowing they were going to throw me on it.
07:51Someone even came out to him and said, yo, are you going to that party?
07:53And I looked and I was like, dude, this is my room.

08:33And next thing you know, I get a call and I get an email the next morning and they're
08:37like, yo, you're kicked out of housing.

08:40Every one of my guys who were in the same, we shared the same dorm.
08:43It's four guys to a dorm.
08:44They all pinned the party on me.

08:48I showed up halfway into the party.
08:49And I saw signs of them like not being loyal.

08:54They pinned the whole party on me and pretty much like then like, even then like my professors,

09:02Like I had people who were like legit, like doing some of my tests for me and people knew

09:16He's actually making his way through the circuit.

09:20One of my teachers, I got failed by one of my professors.
09:23And she told me mumble rap was an art.
09:25And I argued with her.
09:26And I said, no, you're full of it.

09:29One day you're going to work for me.
09:30Like I was like really on one.
09:32And literally three months later, she sees me on growing up hip hop and she's like,
09:36hey, is that job available?

09:40I was like, let me think about it.

09:43I never wrote back.

09:47Were you a senior at this time?
09:49This is my freshman year of college.

09:53This was freshman year.
09:54So you had another few years to go.
09:56Well, with a bachelor's degree in audio engineering, it's only a year and a half.
10:01And for me, since I had already taken a lot, because before I went in, I was supposed
10:05to be going in the military as a Navy SEAL.

10:09Going to the Navy, just due to like, I was already being where I was from.
10:14I had already shown signs of a person with PTSD in like, not a bad way, but in a way that
10:19just said that I understood things.
10:21I understood what comes from this.
10:22And like the job that I particularly went in for, which was recon, my job is very serious.
10:28So they, they basically, they told me that I was on a wait and I went to college instead
10:32of waiting.
10:33And then they called me, I think four weeks into college.
10:35And they were like, yo, we want to give you $120,000 sign on.
10:38We want you to come and be a SEAL and start your training.
10:40And I was like, ah, I love music.

17:16And I show up five minutes early because I want to make sure that he understands.

17:24So I sit there and like an hour goes by and he's having conversations.
17:28People are keep coming up to him, you know, cause ship hop is a cruise where, you know,
17:31the fans going to act, interact with everybody.

17:36So he's going and people are interacting.
17:38And I, I noticed every time he's watching to see if I got up and left, but I stayed there
17:42the whole time until he said something to me.

17:51So I sat there the whole time.

19:58But I was literally like, if y'all don't accept me, this is like, just don't expect things

20:04But I never would jump into anything I was not ready for.
20:06So you just told them you were going to get married.

20:10We did the whole setup, but we did not.
20:12We were, even if my mom came there or not, it wasn't, we were still going to do it respectfully.
20:16We were going to have my mom and my dad's permission because he is old fashioned like

21:24But I see just a real genuine person.
21:26He coaches me.
21:27He tells me certain things when I'm going through a tough time.
21:30Like, I can call him or I can call my dad.

21:34And I'll call him and I'll be like, yo, yo, pops, man.
21:35These people got me tripping, man.
21:37He'll keep it real with me.
21:38And the same thing with mom.
21:39It's the best feeling.
21:40Yeah, because when they text me, they'll be like, how's you and Sam?
21:42Like, my dad too.
21:43He's never done that with any of my exes.
21:44He said, how is you and Sam?
21:45He don't care.

21:49Like, so on the show, you've gotten some backlash, though, from like people in your family.

23:19People don't know everything, even if they are family.
