Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has denied Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s claims that he had stolen party funds and kept the money at home.

Muhyiddin, who is also the Bersatu president, said the allegation was based solely on speculation and false information provided by irresponsible parties.

00:19Perikatan National Chairman Tanshri Muhyiddin Yassin on Saturday denied this allegation by former Prime Minister Thun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, calling it baseless speculation.
00:30The Bersatu president said all party contributions are deposited into official accounts and managed transparently by the Treasurer-General.
00:38Muhyiddin said Dr Mahathir may have been misled by inaccurate information from irresponsible parties and should have sought clarification before making the allegation.
00:49Muhyiddin said he was clarifying the matter, to prevent slander but does not intend to take legal action, adding that he respects Dr Mahathir and values their friendship.
