Transcript
00:00And finally, the controversial HBO series The Idol has come to an end.
00:04Following months of controversy surrounding The Weeknd's series,
00:08which has been accused of glorifying abuse and bordering on pornography,
00:12fans of the show learned whether and how Lily-Rose Depp's Jocelyn fared.
00:17Spoiler alert.
00:18In the end, Jocelyn appears to be done with The Weeknd's Tedros,
00:21calling him a con man and a fraud.
00:23However, six weeks after trying to pay the cult leader to get out of her life,
00:27Jocelyn and Tedros face each other on stage on the first night of her tour,
00:32and she introduces him to the crowd as the love of her life
00:34before commanding him to stand on the side of the stage.
00:37So there appears to be a little role reversal here, and Jocelyn's now in control.
00:42The main question now is will there be a season two of The Idol?
00:45Page Six originally reported that neither HBO nor The Weeknd
00:48were moving forward with the second season of the show
00:51after the pop stars reported egomaniacal behavior on set.
00:55However, HBO had immediately rebutted this report, commenting on Twitter,
00:59it is being misreported that a decision on a second season of The Idol has been determined.
01:03It has not, and we look forward to sharing the next episode with you guys on Sunday night.
