00:13Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life and Selena Gomez just announced she'll be taking a social media cleanse.
00:19The singer posted this photo with the caption,
00:21As much as I'm grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I'm equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I've been given.
00:30Kindness and encouragement only for a bit. Just remember negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings.
00:36This comes after a recent Instagram live session in which Selena opened up about her struggle with depression and anxiety.
00:43Depression was my life for five years straight. Depression and anxiety was the forefront of everything that I did in my life.
00:54Every single thing. And I would still do it, like I would make myself, you know, have the courage to just keep going.
01:04And I think that slowly but surely it just kind of happened.
01:12Cell also talked about her new music saying she's been working on things for the last three years.
01:17She goes on to say the new album will define her as a woman and that she's been the most inspired she's ever been while creating this project.
01:24Definitely looking forward to that.
01:26Well, Cell also spoke about how to forget someone.
01:29You kind of have to figure out why you're still holding on to them.
01:33Like why are you, like why do you want to forget them?
01:37Um, and I think that's where you start.
01:42Ask yourself that question, like why do you want to forget them?
01:45And did they hurt you?
01:47And if they did and it's not healthy for you to go back or to that thought, you know, it's, that's not good.
01:55Sometimes forgetting can be a bad thing.
01:59You know, sometimes you might need to be reminded of something.
02:04So whatever that question meant, um, I hope I answered it.
02:11But all right, at the end of her session, Cell though revealed that she doesn't want to be on another magazine cover again.

02:50Well, from Cell go to JLo, fans are starting to scratch their heads a bit over a recent DM convo that Selena posted.
02:57Cell was apparently backstage at JLo's show in Vegas and afterwards sent this message praising the performance, writing,
