00:23Washington, he said, wants only Ukraine to withdraw its troops while Russian forces would only promise not to advance.
00:32Zelensky said that amounts to one-sided withdrawal and argued Russia should also be required to move its troops back.
00:39He added that the other major sticking point is the Zaporizhia nuclear plant, the largest in Europe, which remains under Russian control.
00:46Zelensky repeated that he has no legal or moral right to give up Ukrainian land, and said any decision on territory must be made by Ukrainians themselves.
00:57He also suggested Washington's position has barely shifted since a 28-point plan circulated last month, which Kiev said favored Russia.
01:05Ukraine has now sent a 20-point counterproposal to the US, though details have not been released.
