00:00Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is facing a very tough choice as Trump presses

00:23on with his 28-point peace plan, asking Zelenskyy to either cede territory or continue fighting

00:32the long war. The U.S. peace plan demands that Ukraine give up control of parts of the Donbass

00:40region in eastern Ukraine, reduce the size of its military by half, and also give up long-range

00:48weapons that it has used in the past to target Russian military sites and assets. Trump has

00:56tightened the noose on Zelenskyy by threatening to cut off all kinds of military aid to Ukraine

01:03if it chooses to continue the war. Caught in a desperate situation, Zelenskyy is now planning

01:14a hurried trip to the U.S. to try and get some concessions from President Trump, as per reports.

01:22Reuters has reported that Ukrainian and U.S. officials are discussing the possibility of

01:28Zelenskyy's visit to the White House to be scheduled as early as this week. This comes

01:35even as Ukraine and the U.S. continue to debate the details of the 28-point peace plan,

01:42which has till now faced criticism over conditions seen as heavily favorable to Russia.

01:52U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Zelenskyy's top aide Andre Ermac recently met in Geneva to

02:00discuss the details and hailed the initial consultations as productive, saying they are

02:07continuing to work on an updated and refined peace framework. Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine is

02:14coordinating steps with the U.S. and trying to include some of the most sensitive issues in the

02:20final plan, such as an all-for-all exchange of captives and the release of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

02:29Zelenskyy said, and I quote,

02:33Borders cannot be changed by force. Criminals must not remain unpunished.

02:41They must answer for the war that they started.

02:48Meanwhile, Trump today posted a rather twisted message on Truth Social.

02:54He seemed to caution analysts not to believe reports of any big progress in the peace talks,

03:01but at the same time he wrote that something good may just be happening. Crucial days which could

03:08change the landscape of the war and most likely the maps of Ukraine and Russia are ahead,

03:16and a lot is expected to unfold, with the U.S. as a key player.
